"Displacement Tents".. Widespread Anger Over Israel's Plan to Forcefully Displace Gaza Residents

The announcement by the Israeli occupation army regarding the provision of shelter tents for the residents of Gaza City, starting today, Sunday, has sparked angry reactions on social media platforms. Many considered this step to be nothing more than a precursor to the forced displacement of residents from combat areas to the south of the Gaza Strip.

The spokesperson for the occupation army, Avichai Adraee, stated that this step comes based on directives from the political level, indicating that the goal is to maintain the safety of civilians. However, activists viewed this as a cover for a mass displacement plan aimed at emptying the Strip of its inhabitants.

According to Adraee, the necessary equipment will be transported through the Kerem Shalom crossing by the United Nations and international relief organizations, raising questions about the credibility of this step under the current circumstances, as Gaza is undergoing extensive military aggression.

The Israeli channel i24news also reported that the army chose the area 'south of the Morag axis' near Rafah to establish the 'shelter camp,' which increased fears that this step aims at the complete occupation of Gaza.

The announcement by the occupation army about the establishment of 'shelter camps' ignited widespread controversy, as activists considered it a precursor to a mass displacement operation. This announcement coincided with the destruction of hundreds of homes in Gaza City and the Zaitoun neighborhood, heightening fears that the tents are merely a cover for a plan of forced displacement.

Activists pointed out that the occupation has been conducting a large-scale ground operation in the Zaitoun neighborhood for days, destroying more than 400 homes in just six days. They considered the introduction of tents and shelter equipment as a direct preparation for the forced displacement operation.

Activists also confirmed that the occupation army is working to destroy the means of life in the area, making it uninhabitable. They described this method as a scorched earth policy, similar to what happened in the northern and southern regions.

Twitter users viewed these tents as merely a tool to facilitate the movement of residents southward, as efforts are underway to establish a 'tent city' in Rafah, which they likened to a mass detention center.

Many bloggers questioned the means that the occupation would resort to in order to push citizens to move to these camps, and the role that international organizations would play in this context.

In the end, several activists considered that this decision clarifies that the aid is merely another tool to impose displacement plans, and that what is happening is a precursor to a comprehensive war aimed at completely emptying the Strip of its inhabitants.
