The Israeli Chief of Staff vows to attack Hamas leaders "everywhere."

Israeli Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir vowed on Wednesday to attack Hamas leaders "everywhere," following the targeting of a Hamas negotiating delegation in the Qatari capital, Doha.

The Israeli army stated in a statement that Zamir held a meeting with leaders on Wednesday to discuss the progress of Operation "Gideon's Chariots 2," aimed at occupying the city of Gaza, at the army's southern command headquarters.

Zamir was quoted as saying in the meeting: "We are moving towards the next stages in the mission to overthrow Hamas rule - this is our goal. We will overthrow this rule and nothing will stop us from carrying out the mission."

He added: "We have two goals ahead of us: freeing the hostages, which is a moral mission, a top priority that is crucial and necessary, alongside the mission to overthrow Hamas, these are the tasks of our generation," he claimed.

After more than three weeks of intensive bombing on Gaza, the Israeli army launched on September 3rd the "Gideon's Chariots 2" operation to completely occupy the city of Gaza, which sparked criticism and protests in Israel, fearing for the lives of the captives and soldiers.

Zamir continued: "As I said before, we will attack them and pursue them everywhere, in Judea and Samaria (the West Bank) and elsewhere as we did in the past 24 hours."

The largest operation carried out by the Israeli army in the past 24 hours was the attack on the negotiating delegation of Hamas in the Qatari capital, Doha, on Tuesday.

Zamir did not mention Qatar by name.

He said: "We are closely monitoring the shift in the balance of power in the Middle East. In front of me and the leadership of the General Staff, the goals of the multi-front war are all present. We have been in a state of war for about two years, and now we have reached critical stages of it. We are establishing the reality for future generations, this is how we must see things," according to his statements.

On Tuesday, the Israeli army announced that it had launched an airstrike on the leadership of Hamas in Doha, which drew widespread regional and international condemnation.

Qatar condemned the Israeli attack and affirmed its right to respond to this aggression that killed a member of the internal security forces.

Meanwhile, Hamas announced that its negotiating delegation, led by its chief in Gaza, Khalil al-Hayya, survived the assassination attempt, while the director of his office, Jihad Labed, and his son, Hamam al-Hayya, along with three companions, Abdullah Abdul Wahid, Moamen Hassouna, and Ahmad al-Mamlouk, were killed.

Israel, with American support, is committing genocide in Gaza, resulting in 64,656 dead and 163,503 injured Palestinians, most of whom are children and women, along with hundreds of thousands of displaced persons, and a famine that has claimed the lives of 404 Palestinians, including 141 children.

Hekabi says that the United States will not ask Israel not to annex the occupied West Bank.

Washington - "Jerusalem" dot com - Said Arikat

The U.S. ambassador to Israel, Mike Huckabee, stated in an interview conducted last week that the United States has never asked Israel to "refrain from applying sovereignty," referring to the possibility of Israel annexing parts of the occupied West Bank.

Huckabee said, according to a statement published on September 5 by a journalist on Israeli Channel 14: "The United States has never asked Israel not to apply sovereignty. I have repeatedly stated that the United States respects Israel as a sovereign state and will not dictate to it what it should do. This is also what Minister Rubio said recently this week."

Israeli officials said last week that Secretary of State Marco Rubio indicated to them that the United States would not oppose Israel if it proceeded to annex the West Bank. He also publicly stated that annexation could be Israel's response to Western countries taking steps toward recognizing a Palestinian state.

Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich recently proposed annexing 82% of the West Bank, leaving six isolated Palestinian population centers as islands. He stated that his plan aims for "the maximum possible area of land, and the minimum possible number of Arab residents."

Huckabee also clarified that the Trump administration does not oppose the recent significant expansion of illegal Jewish settlements in the West Bank, which Smotrich claimed would "erase" the idea of a Palestinian state. Huckabee asserted that the settlements are not illegal under international law, despite their clear prohibition under the 1949 Geneva Convention, which both the United States and Israel signed and ratified.

It is noteworthy that Huckabee is an extreme Christian Zionist, and his approach to Israel and Palestine is based on his belief that God granted historic Palestine to the modern state of Israel, a doctrine rejected by the Catholic Church and most other Christian denominations. When Huckabee was asked in a recent interview with the Jerusalem Post about the growing skepticism toward Israel among Americans, he hinted that Christian pastors who have not taught his viewpoint are to blame.

He said: "There are pastors in the evangelical world who have not explained to their congregations the biblical basis for supporting Israel."

The President of Palestine and the King of Jordan demand "deterrent" measures against Israel.

The King of Jordan, Abdullah II, and the Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, on Wednesday, called for "practical and deterrent" measures against the Israeli occupation, within the framework of Arab-Islamic consultation to ensure that the Israeli attack on Qatar does not happen again.

This came during a meeting held between them in the Jordanian capital, Amman, during an unannounced visit by Abbas to Jordan. In the meeting, the two sides discussed "the Israeli aggression against Qatar, reaffirming their condemnation of this brutal attack, the importance of standing by Qatar, and taking practical and deterrent measures against the Israeli occupying state, within the framework of Arab-Islamic consultation to ensure that this does not happen again."

The King of Jordan called on the international community to "bear its responsibilities in confronting everything that threatens the security of the region," reiterating Jordan's condemnation of "the brutal Israeli aggression against Qatar," according to a statement from the royal court.

A British organization calls for Herzog to be arrested on charges of inciting the genocide of Gaza.

A British organization supportive of Palestine has filed a lawsuit demanding the issuance of an arrest warrant against Israeli occupation President Isaac Herzog, on charges of incitement to genocide in the Gaza Strip.

Ismail Patel, the head of the "Friends of Al-Aqsa" organization, stated in a press release yesterday, Tuesday, that the group has initiated criminal proceedings against Herzog based on "incitement to carry out indiscriminate attacks against civilians in Gaza," noting that the request submitted to the British Attorney General is based on statements made by Herzog on October 12 and 15, 2023.

This legal action comes as more than 60 British MPs sent a letter to Prime Minister Keir Starmer, expressing their strong opposition to Herzog's planned visit to London, scheduled between September 10 and 12 of this year.

Israeli media: If we kill Hamas leaders, who will we negotiate with? And Netanyahu exonerates Trump.

Israeli analysts, both opponents and supporters of Benjamin Netanyahu's government, have seen the assassination attempt on the negotiating delegation of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) in Doha as an attempt by Netanyahu to kill any chance of ending the war in Gaza and a bid to cause the deaths of the Israeli captives in Gaza.

The Israeli attack yesterday, Tuesday, targeted a meeting of the Hamas negotiating delegation in Doha, and the Qatari Foreign Ministry described the attack as "a criminal assault and a violation of all international laws and a serious threat to the security and safety of Qataris and residents."

Political analyst on Channel 13, Guy Tamari, commented on the assassination attempt on Hamas leaders, saying, "If this were the most successful operation in the world, and if we killed all the Hamas leaders, who would we talk to? With whom would we negotiate?" He considered that Israel is responsible for this operation, which "will not bring it even a hair's breadth closer to the release of the living captives."

It is noted that Hamas announced that Israel failed to assassinate its negotiating delegation in Doha, while six people were killed in the attack, including the son of leader Khalil al-Hayya, his office manager, three companions, and a member of the Qatari internal security force.

According to Nimrod Shefer, former head of the planning division in the army, the attack on Hamas leaders in Qatar did not achieve its objectives and will lead to a hardening of the Palestinian side's positions. He spoke of an intention to mix "tactical successes with strategic failures."

Yair Golan, head of the "Democrats" party, considered that the Israeli attack threatens the release of the captives, stating that "the release of the captives is a supreme interest more important than whether Khalil al-Hayya remains alive or not."

For his part, former head of operations in the army, Yisrael Ze'ev, questioned the Israeli interest in releasing the captives, saying, "Without recovering the kidnapped, there will be no victory," and Ze'ev does not believe that targeting Hamas leaders in Doha has any military impact on the Gaza Strip or on the challenges there.

On her part, Einav Tsangauker, the mother of an Israeli captive in Gaza, accused Netanyahu of risking the lives of the captives, saying he insists on blowing up every small opportunity to reach a deal.

In contrast, political correspondent on Channel 14, Tamir Morag, stated that "Israel has sent a very clear message that from now on it will not negotiate with words but with bombs and will go all the way."

On another note, Channel 13 reported that Netanyahu issued a statement in English saying that "Israel is fully responsible for the attack and we carried it out independently," and the channel commented, "Somewhat exonerating Trump," referring to U.S. President Donald Trump.

Regarding the role of the United States, the Arab affairs correspondent on Channel 12, Ohad Hamo, said, "It is impossible that the Americans were not aware of this operation," pointing out that the strategy implemented in the attack on Iran has now been executed, as it was important for the Americans to distance themselves.

He added, "But instead of Marco Rubio (the U.S. Secretary of State) issuing a statement of distancing, Netanyahu issued a statement of distancing."

The war on Gaza and the consolidation of Palestine's presence globally

Dr. Ibrahim Nairat

Dr. Ibrahim Nairat

Opinion Writer

Israel has been waging a fierce war on the Gaza Strip for months, under repeated security and political justifications, including the aim of delegitimizing the Palestinians and portraying them as a permanent security burden or an entity incapable of independent existence. However, the realities on the ground are moving in a different direction, as the war, accompanied by widespread destruction and significant human losses, has revealed a completely different truth: Palestine today is more present in the global scene than it has been for decades.

The humanitarian tragedy experienced by civilians in Gaza has not remained confined to official frameworks or diplomatic reports, but has spread widely through international media and social media platforms. Images of children under the rubble, hospitals crowded with the injured, and displaced families searching for shelter have made the Palestinian cause seep into nearly every home around the world. Palestine is no longer just a matter for political elites or international institutions; it has become part of the daily lives of millions of individuals who closely follow it and express their solidarity through images and public stances.

However, the consolidation of Palestine's presence on the global stage does not necessarily mean legitimizing the choices made by Hamas. The attack launched by the movement, which ignited the war, came in a context that did not take into account the heavy human cost on the residents of Gaza, who found themselves once again at the heart of an unequal confrontation. Millions of civilians, including children, women, and the elderly, have paid a heavy price as a result of these political and military calculations, raising serious questions about the wisdom of such risks and the ability of Palestinian factions to protect their community above all else.

This massive media exposure has resulted in a noticeable shift in international public opinion. In Europe and the United States, where official positions have long been linked to support for Israel, unprecedented protests have emerged, and solidarity and boycott campaigns have taken on an organized and ongoing nature. According to several polls, an increasing majority of public opinion now views the Palestinians as victims of historical injustice and an unequal conflict, which has strengthened popular sympathy and opened new discussions within Western societies about the nature of government policies toward the Middle East.

This popular shift cannot be viewed in isolation from the political future in democratic countries. Political parties, by the nature of the electoral system, cannot ignore the general mood for long. As the base of sympathizers with Palestine widens, political forces will be compelled to take these positions into account, which may gradually reflect on their electoral programs and foreign policies. Upcoming elections in several European countries, as well as in the United States, may witness deeper discussions about the relationship with Israel and the necessity of adopting more balanced positions regarding the conflict.

On the other hand, it can be said that the current war has weakened the Israeli narrative in front of international public opinion. While Tel Aviv has sought to convince the world that its security justifies all military actions, images and daily realities have revealed that the human cost is high and unjustified. This contradiction between the official Israeli discourse and the tangible reality on the ground has made it difficult to convince the global audience of the traditional Israeli narrative.

Thus, what Israel intended to be a step to undermine the legitimacy of the Palestinians has practically turned into a factor that re-legitimizes their cause and enhances its presence. Palestine, today, is no longer a file hanging on the negotiation table, but has become a global humanitarian and political issue rooted in the collective conscience, with a wide and influential audience that is difficult to ignore in the coming phase.

In conclusion, it seems that the war on Gaza, despite its catastrophic effects and the responsibilities of Palestinian factions for the dangers they have placed civilians in, has solidified Palestine as a global issue open to the future. The international popular sympathy, and the political transformations that may result from it, make it difficult to isolate the Palestinians or marginalize their cause; rather, it may open the door to a new phase in which Palestine's presence is stronger and more firmly established in the international scene.

Israel warns of evacuating "Tayba Tower 2" west of Gaza in preparation for its demolition

The Israeli army warned Palestinians in the "Tayba Tower 2" residential building and the nearby displaced persons tents in the Gaza port area west of the city "to evacuate immediately" before attacking.

Israeli army spokesperson Avichai Adraee said in a post on the American "X" platform: "An urgent warning to all who have not yet evacuated the Gaza port area and the southern Rimal neighborhood in blocks 663, 785, 786, 787, especially in Tayba Tower 2 marked in red and in the nearby tents."

He added that "the army will attack the building soon," claiming "there are Hamas terrorist infrastructures inside or next to it."

For days, Israel has been conducting a gradual campaign to destroy high-rise residential buildings in Gaza City, increasing the number of displaced families and pushing them into harsh displacement conditions.

These attacks on high-rise residential buildings come after the Israeli army announced on Saturday the expansion of its military operations in Gaza City as part of "Gideon Vehicles 2."

On the same day, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu boasted that his army had destroyed 50 residential buildings in Gaza City within two days, vowing to demolish more and proceed with plans for displacement.

Israeli site: Gaza reconstruction plans are not feasible

In a report published by the Israeli website "Regional Thinking Forum," writer Eliezer Gluck compared the two plans prepared by international entities for the reconstruction and management of the Gaza Strip in the coming years.

The writer mentioned that the first plan appeared in the form of a report in The New York Times in May 2024, where the newspaper revealed a meeting that brought together a group of businessmen and representatives of international institutions from the Middle East, Europe, and the United States in December 2023, aimed at envisioning the future of Gaza.

Gluck clarified that the details of that plan were not disclosed in The New York Times report, but in May 2025, Israeli media reported that the government of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu - wanted by the International Criminal Court - was considering it as a potential option for Gaza's future.

As for the second plan, it emerged in early September 2025 in the form of a presentation in English, which is a revised version of the first plan, according to the writer.

Gluck quoted a report on the Hebrew website Ynet, stating that the administration of U.S. President Donald Trump is currently studying this plan, while the previous plan had been presented to former President Joe Biden.

The writer questions in this context: What distinguishes the current plan from its predecessor? Why was it published now? What are its goals?

The first plan was the initial document, according to the writer, titled "From Crisis to Prosperity - A Plan to Transform the Gaza Strip from a Tool in Iran's Hands to a Hub of Moderation," noting that the declared goal was to place Gaza within the Middle East project based on the Abraham Accords, making it part of the overall battle against Iranian influence in the region.

The writer noted that the document focused on Gaza's role in the regional and geopolitical context, considering that the strip obstructs the "regional moderation project" and poses a threat to the U.S. vision for the global supply chain from India through the Middle East to Europe.

According to the writer, the document presented three phases for this transformation: the immediate phase (12 months): targeting the "cleansing" of the strip from the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), and establishing "safe zones" under Israeli supervision, with Arab countries financing humanitarian aid and overseeing the local Palestinian authority in these areas.

The intermediate phase (5-10 years): includes the establishment of a multilateral body to oversee the reconstruction of Gaza, applying a "Marshall Plan" model for disarmament and social change, under Israeli protection.

The long-term phase: Israel becomes the supreme security authority in the strip, while local authority transitions to Palestinian administration after proving the ability to disarm, with subsequent joining of the Abraham Accords.

The writer pointed out that the plan exploits the destruction in Gaza as an opportunity to rebuild the strip, replacing refugee camps with "modern cities," achieving economic and political gains that could benefit Israel, Arab countries, and the United States.

The document also highlighted that the participation of Arab countries provides a model for potential military intervention in other areas such as Yemen, Syria, and Lebanon under the pretext of countering Iranian influence.

In the context of the first plan, the writer sees that the plan aims more broadly to build a new regional space that transcends the current conflict between Iran on one side and the United States and Gulf countries on the other, promising the people of Gaza an ideal vision of sovereignty and economic prosperity.

However, the document is merely - according to the writer - a plan that involves a degree of exaggeration and a tool used by the Israeli regime to justify its actions, as revealed by the history of its publication.

Reports related to the publication of the plan indicated that it was presented to the Israeli government in December 2023, but it was not published until late April 2024, a full year later.

It can be assumed - according to the writer - that the plan was published on behalf of the Israeli government or entities close to it, and that its context is the Israeli escalation against Iran.

The writer confirms that this formulation was particularly aligned with the Biden administration's vision, which sought, unlike the seemingly isolationist Trump administration, to maintain and enhance American hegemony in the world.

The second document: a purely economic pathway Gluck reported that the second document, published in September 2025, was titled the big fund "Reconstruction of Gaza, Accelerating Economic Growth and Transformation," and focused more on economic aspects, including financing models, projects to be implemented, and public-private partnership mechanisms to finance reconstruction.

The writer noted that the document emphasized that Gaza's economic value has dropped to zero since

Israeli optimism about the success of the assassination of leaders from "Hamas" in Doha has declined.

On Wednesday, optimism among Israeli political and military circles significantly declined regarding the success of the assassination operation targeting leaders of the "Hamas" movement in the Qatari capital, Doha, on Tuesday.

The military correspondent for Israeli Army Radio, Doron Kadush, stated: "Since late last night until this morning, I have heard from multiple sources within the defense establishment many doubts about the results of the Israeli attack that was launched yesterday in Qatar."

He mentioned that two sources in the defense establishment informed him last night and this morning that "things do not look good, and there is no cause for optimism," after they had expressed greater optimism earlier yesterday evening, according to the correspondent.

Kadush continued: "The matter (the killing of Hamas leaders) is still uncertain, and we must, of course, exercise caution, but this is the situation in Israel as of this morning: some pessimism regarding the results of the attack."

For its part, the Hebrew newspaper "Yedioth Ahronoth" stated on Wednesday: "So far, there has been no official Israeli confirmation of the success of the operation."

It added: "The operation shocked the world, but its results are still unclear."

Israeli political and military officials insisted on Tuesday that the assassination operation was successful, despite Hamas confirming its failure to kill the movement's leaders in Doha.

On Tuesday, Qatar announced that Israel launched a "cowardly attack targeting residential premises of several members of Hamas's political bureau in Doha."

The Israeli army quickly announced in a statement that it attacked "the leadership of Hamas" in Doha using the air force in cooperation with the General Security Service "Shabak."

Meanwhile, Hamas announced the survival of its negotiating delegation, led by its chief in Gaza, Khalil al-Hayya, from the assassination attempt, and the killing of his office director, Jihad Labed, and his son, Hamam al-Hayya, along with three companions: Abdullah Abdul Wahid, Moamen Hassouna, and Ahmad al-Mamlouk, and Qatari security personnel Badr al-Humaidi.

Israel, with American support, is committing genocide in Gaza, resulting in 64,605 deaths and 163,319 injuries among Palestinians, most of whom are children and women, along with hundreds of thousands of displaced persons, and famine that has claimed the lives of 404 Palestinians, including 141 children.

How is Israel trying to demonize UNRWA and eliminate the Palestinian refugee issue?

The Israeli incitement machine against the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) has not quieted down over the past three months, as social media platforms have been flooded with a coordinated wave of systematic accusations, coinciding with official statements from Israeli officials describing the agency as a "terrorist arm," in a clear attempt to undermine its legitimacy and eliminate the Palestinian refugee issue.

The attack on UNRWA is not new; Israel has been trying for decades to end its role, but it intensified its campaign following the "Al-Aqsa Flood" operation launched by Palestinian resistance factions on October 7, 2023. Since that date, Tel Aviv has unleashed a wide chorus of voices in the digital space, aiming to delegitimize the agency and sever its connection to the Palestinian cause.

In this context, the "Al Jazeera Investigates" team conducted a network analysis to monitor interaction patterns on the "X" platform between early June and September. The monitoring included about 5,000 tweets, revealing threads of a coordinated campaign aimed at damaging UNRWA's image by flooding the digital space with claims linking it to the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) and presenting it as a front for armed action.

With the expansion of the digital campaign, a coordinated incitement discourse emerged, placing UNRWA at the center of the targeting, as tweets from dozens of influential Israeli and Western accounts repeated the incitement rhetoric against it. Some of these accounts are institutional, affiliated with official entities such as the occupation army and the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs, while others are led by activists known for their bias towards the Israeli narrative, such as Hillel Neuer, who continuously portrays the agency as "an arm of Hamas" or "a terrorist organization."

Among the most prominent of these voices is the account "VividProwess," which has taken a systematic line to link UNRWA with Hamas and label it as a factory for producing "terrorists." The account has repeated the same allegations through recurring tweets, focusing on demonizing the agency's students and presenting its schools as incubators for extremism.

Hillel Neuer represents the most prominent incitement voice, relying on reports from the "UN Watch" organization, which he heads, combining a seemingly documented accusatory style by mentioning names, positions, and links, with direct political rhetoric that classifies UNRWA as a "terrorism agency." His posts often revolve around attacking the agency's Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini, linking the agency to Hamas, and promoting a narrative that claims taxpayers in countries like Sweden, Britain, and Canada are funding "terrorism" by supporting UNRWA.

In addition, other accounts have been active in disseminating similar rhetoric, collectively forming an integrated network that has repeated the same allegations over the past three months, in an attempt to establish a negative image of the UN agency in Western digital consciousness.

The visual map of the network analysis conducted by the "Al Jazeera Investigates" team reveals that the campaign against UNRWA is not limited to official Israeli platforms but extends to a wide network of "digital accounts" distributed among political activists and influencers on social media. These individuals work to recycle the Israeli incitement narrative and expand its reach, in an effort to undermine the image of the UN agency and strip it of its legitimacy, paving the way to weaken the Palestinian refugee file and prepare international public opinion to accept its liquidation.

Commenting on these efforts, UNRWA's media advisor Dr. Adnan Abu Hasna stated in remarks to "Al Jazeera Investigates" that the Israeli incitement campaign is "organized and takes on broad dimensions," pointing out that Tel Aviv has spent millions of dollars to link the agency to what is called "terrorism," through advertising campaigns targeting search engines like Google, and advertisements in American and European streets, in addition to attempts to influence the parliaments of several Western countries.

Abu Hasna added that "these accusations have never been proven, and there is no evidence for them," noting that Israel has refused to cooperate with investigation committees and UNRWA, which makes what it promotes "mere allegations aimed at liquidating the agency, tarnishing its reputation, undermining its operations, and stripping it of its legitimacy."

The Israeli targeting of UNRWA has not been limited to the digital space but has extended to a public incitement campaign led by extremist ministers and Knesset members, who have supported bills seeking to ban the agency and halt its operations within the Palestinian territories, as part of parallel political efforts to the digital smear campaigns.

Our follow-ups indicate that Israel has also begun to exploit Israeli and foreign content creators, employing them as propaganda tools to distort the image

Trump's proposal.. a new political maneuver to deepen the genocide

Dr. Ahmed Rafiq Awad: Trump's proposal is not to end the war but a new tool to legitimize it and demonize "Hamas," lacking any serious guarantees.
Suleiman Basharat: The proposal is an incomplete set of ideas representing a reproduction of Israeli conditions in the context of total surrender.
Dr. Dalia Arikat: Trump's proposal in its current form is nothing but a political maneuver to reproduce the unilateral American role.
Dr. Jamal Harfoush: The American president's proposal may lead to a ceasefire, but lasting peace is contingent on strict international guarantees.
Daoud Kuttab: Trump's record does not show a commitment to fulfilling promises or a desire to pressure Israel, making the proposal closer to a surrender formula.
Dr. Irini Said: The initiatives proposed by Trump are politicized and for media consumption, reflecting his bias towards the Israeli narrative.

President Donald Trump's proposal to stop the war on the Gaza Strip reignites the discussion about the seriousness of the American role in managing the conflict, or whether it is closer to a political maneuver than an initiative to end the ongoing aggression and genocide.
According to Israeli Channel 12, Trump's proposal is based on concluding a comprehensive deal with the "Hamas" movement, which includes the release of all hostages and the bodies, totaling 48, on the first day in exchange for the release of hundreds of high-sentenced Palestinian prisoners and thousands of detainees.
The proposal stipulates the cessation of the "Gideon B" operation aimed at occupying the city of Gaza, and opening a direct negotiation track managed personally by Trump to end the war, with military operations frozen throughout the negotiation period, while "Hamas" is asked to rely on Trump's promises to end the war.
Writers, political analysts, and university professors, in separate conversations with "Y," believe that the proposal, which has been promoted as a step towards calm, lacks the basic guarantees related to a ceasefire, the entry of humanitarian aid, and addressing the vital issues related to the sector.
They point out that the essence of the proposal does not aim at finding a real settlement, but rather at attempting to portray the Palestinian resistance as if it rejects solutions, thus granting Israel legitimacy to continue its war, and that the exclusion of Arab and international parties from the proposal reflects Washington's desire to monopolize the management of the file and provide political cover for Israel against rising international criticism.
Given these determinants, writers and analysts see that the chances of the proposal's success appear extremely weak, as it ignores Palestinian rights and demands and keeps the military option open for the occupation.
While the aggression on Gaza continues without a clear horizon, the potential scenarios, according to writers, analysts, and university professors, remain confined to either ongoing military escalation or a fragile temporary ceasefire.

Israel formulated the ideas and pushed the American administration to announce them.

The writer and political analyst Dr. Ahmed Rafiq Awad believes that the American proposal announced by President Donald Trump regarding stopping the war on Gaza is not a proposal to end the aggression or reach a political settlement, but rather a new tool to legitimize the Israeli war on the sector and demonize the "Hamas" movement, and that the proposal lacks any serious guarantees.
Awad clarifies that Israel is the one that formulated these ideas and pushed the American administration to announce them as an American proposal, while their essence does not relate to stopping the war.
He indicates that the main goal is to push the "Hamas" movement to reject the proposal, which would grant Israel legitimacy to continue its war on Gaza, portraying the movement as the one rejecting solutions; however, if "Hamas" agrees, it would practically mean a complete defeat for it and a victory for Israel and America, which is an unlikely scenario.
Awad emphasizes that the proposal lacks any serious guarantees, whether regarding stopping the war, the withdrawal of the occupation, or the entry of humanitarian aid, and even regarding the release of Palestinian prisoners.
He considers that conditioning the release of Israeli prisoners from the first day aims to strip "Hamas" of one of its most important negotiating cards, making the proposal a "deception and a political trap."
Awad points out that "Hamas's" response to these proposals came conditioned on a ceasefire, the entry of aid, and the release of prisoners, which brought matters back to "square one" in the negotiation process.
Regarding upcoming scenarios, Awad clarifies that indicators suggest that Israel is proceeding with its military project in Gaza, which is based on destroying the sector and imposing surrender on the resistance, and even pushing towards the displacement of Palestinians if it can.

Any settlement with "Hamas" is a comprehensive defeat for Israel.

Awad believes that any settlement with "Hamas" represents a

Katz: Gaza will turn into ruins if Hamas rejects Israel's conditions.

The Minister of War for the occupation, Israel Katz, stated that the long arm of the occupation will reach its enemies anywhere, emphasizing that the occupation entity will not hesitate to use all available means to achieve its security goals.

Katz added in a press statement that Hamas must accept the occupation's conditions to end the war, which include the release of all detainees and disarmament, warning that any refusal of these demands will lead to the destruction of the movement and Gaza will turn into complete ruin.

This statement comes amid rising tensions between the occupation and Hamas in the Gaza Strip, alongside international warnings of worsening humanitarian crisis in the region.

Israeli readings on the aggression against Qatar and the attempted assassination of Hamas leaders

Hours after the announcement of the Israeli aggressive attack on Qatar targeting Hamas leadership, many analytical readings were issued regarding this new aggression, which targets a new Arab capital, considering it the broadest air force attack on Hamas officials abroad. This raises the question of U.S. President Donald Trump's approval of an attack on the territory of his allies, and how this aggression will affect the negotiations for the exchange deal.

Military correspondent Nir Dafouri mentioned that "carrying out an operation like the attack on Qatar requires very precise and good intelligence, and the ability to direct weapons at the target. Therefore, this matter has been built over time, in the arms of the air force and the intelligence agency led by the Shin Bet, in addition to the military intelligence branch. The opportunity was extremely narrow, to strike those who need it, not those who do not need it, under the pretext that the occupation is in the process of dismantling this axis. Therefore, the operation in Qatar holds great significance, as targeting Hamas leadership in Qatar could have severe consequences."

For his part, Ohad Haimo, the channel's correspondent for Palestinian affairs, confirmed that "Hamas leaders have been a target of the attack for a long time, and they are the core of its leadership. They occupy its political office and handle all the most important portfolios: Gaza, negotiations, attacks in the West Bank, relations with the world, and more. I do not think there is a precedent for this because there are two places where the occupation has so far avoided targeted assassinations due to political sensitivity: one is of course Turkey, and the other is Qatar. Therefore, Hamas leaders felt safe in both places, and most of them remained in Qatar, not moving to Turkey."

The Journalists' Syndicate reveals serious motives behind the occupation's assassination of 31 female journalists since the beginning of the genocide war.

The Journalists' Syndicate revealed that 31 female journalists and dozens of media activists have been martyred since the beginning of the Israeli occupation's aggression on October 7, 2023, until the beginning of September 2025, confirming that most of the martyrs were killed inside their homes with their family members in crimes that amount to war crimes and crimes against humanity.

The syndicate indicated, in a report issued by the Freedoms Committee, that the Israeli occupation deliberately targets Palestinian female journalists, especially those working in digital media and international institutions, with the aim of silencing the Palestinian women's voice and obscuring the documented truths on the ground.

The committee added that the systematic targeting creates a void that is difficult to compensate for in the Palestinian female media human capital, and it specifically targets a generation of young female journalists in their twenties and thirties.

The Netherlands to Israel officially: Stop the war on Gaza

The Dutch stance on the war in Gaza is no longer just a matter of protocol statements or isolated remarks. In just a few months, events have accelerated dramatically: a security report categorizing Israel as a threat, the resignation of the Foreign Minister in protest against his government's inaction, followed by the resignation of ministers from his party, one of the four components of the governing coalition, in addition to unprecedented popular demonstrations in the streets of Amsterdam, Rotterdam, and The Hague, and finally a direct call from Prime Minister Dick Schoof to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, demanding an immediate halt to the war and an improvement in the dire humanitarian situation.

This is a pivotal moment that raises the question: Has the Netherlands entered a phase of strategic transformation, or is it merely a situational response to street pressure? The significance of this shift in discourse lies in the fact that it came from the head of the executive authority. For the first time, a Dutch Prime Minister addressed his Israeli counterpart in explicit terms: "I strongly requested an immediate ceasefire and a radical improvement in the humanitarian situation. This war must end," according to a tweet from his account on the X platform.

This tone is unfamiliar in Dutch politics, which has traditionally balanced cautious criticism with conventional support for Israel. It reflects a convergence of street pressure with institutional concern, revealing that narrow political calculations can no longer contain popular resentment.

The Dutch street is no longer silent; tens of thousands have taken to the streets in weekly demonstrations in the largest cities, led by a mix of Arab and Islamic communities, leftist organizations, university students, and professional unions. Some protests lasted for hours, blocking major streets, while banners were raised with phrases like "No Justice Without Palestine" and "Stop the War Now."

The local media has picked up on this new tone, with major newspapers opening their pages to writers and researchers criticizing European double standards, focusing on human stories from Gaza, reinforcing the image that the issue is no longer confined to communities but has become a public Dutch concern.

The Dutch position cannot be read in isolation from the broader European context. Spain, Ireland, and Belgium have taken firm stances against the continuation of the war, while Germany and France have remained relatively neutral. The entry of the Netherlands—historically closely tied to Israel—into this line may represent an additional step toward shaping a more cohesive European stance.

But the question remains: Will the stance be limited to symbolic diplomatic pressure, or will it evolve into concrete measures such as freezing economic cooperation or imposing sanctions as occurred with Russia after the invasion of Ukraine?

The new position is not without internal calculations. The ruling coalition has been in a state of fragility since the withdrawal of the far-right, and the division over Palestine has become clear among the partner parties following the resignation of ministers from the new centrist Social Contract Party.

Schoof's discourse here can be read as an attempt to absorb popular anger and contain the ongoing protests, but it also reflects an awareness that silence is costing the government significantly in terms of its international image.

Moreover, there is an increasing fear that the Gaza issue could threaten the stability of the ruling coalition and impact the results of the upcoming parliamentary elections, especially under the pressure of youth bases sympathetic to Palestine, and the opposition's accusations that the government is "taking too long" to adopt a moral stance.

The Netherlands, which hosts the International Court of Justice and the International Criminal Court, finds itself facing a difficult test: Will the values of international justice remain confined to the halls of The Hague, or will they transform into a foreign policy practiced boldly?

In July of last year, the Dutch National Coordinator for Counterterrorism and Security included Israel on the list of countries that pose a threat through foreign influence activities, an unprecedented classification.

Additionally, Dutch Foreign Minister Kasper Feldkamp submitted his resignation on August 22, 2025, in protest against his government's failure to impose sanctions on Israel.

These facts reflect that the debate is no longer merely an external matter but has become part of an internal controversy regarding the identity of the Netherlands as a country that claims to defend international law.

The biggest challenge to any real transformation lies in the strong economic and military ties between the Netherlands and Israel. The latter is considered an important partner in technology, cybersecurity, and agriculture, and major Dutch companies have intertwined investments with the Israeli market. Any decision to impose restrictions or sanctions would not be merely symbolic but would clash with strong economic interests, making the pursuit of this path a difficult test for the government.

The comparison that many in the Netherlands are invoking today is not new. In the 1970s and 1980s, the country was historically linked to South Africa through Dutch colonizers, which initially made Dutch governments hesitant to criticize Pretoria directly

Internal disputes hinder EU's positions against the Israeli occupation.. despite the escalation of its crimes.

The High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, stated on Tuesday that: "The disagreements among member states prevent Brussels from taking practical action against the Israeli occupation's practices towards the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, despite the scale of the worsening humanitarian disaster there."

Kallas's remarks came during a session of the European Parliament titled: "Gaza at the Breaking Point... The EU's Action to Combat Famine, Release Prisoners, and the Need to Move Forward Towards a Two-State Solution."

She clarified that: "The division among member states is what has hindered collective action," adding that: "Some European governments are currently pursuing individual initiatives, including recognizing the State of Palestine or imposing sanctions on the Israeli occupation."

Kallas revealed that: "The European Commission has prepared a list of possible options to pressure the Israeli government, including suspending Tel Aviv's participation in the Horizon Europe scientific program (2021-2027)."

She added that: "This step has not yet received sufficient support within the European Council."

Additionally, she pointed out that: "The Union is currently conducting a comprehensive assessment - at the request of the Netherlands - regarding the Israeli occupation's compliance with Article Two of the partnership agreement concluded with it, which stipulates the necessity of respecting human rights as a condition for cooperation."

She said: "I believe we must continue our diplomatic efforts with the Israeli government, because if we do not talk, we will not get anywhere."

It is noted that there are many differing statements from several foreign ministers of the Union: Spain: Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares announced that: "His country has presented an action plan that includes imposing an arms export ban to the Israeli occupation and expanding the list of sanctions against it, calling for a complete suspension of the agreement with it."

He said: "We cannot continue to stand idly by... the European Union has achieved nothing, and the time for words has ended; we must act."

Germany: Foreign Minister Johan Vadivol emphasized that: "Berlin demands that the Israeli occupation respect humanitarian principles in its fight against Hamas, and announced his country's rejection of plans to occupy Gaza."

Netherlands: Foreign Minister Kaspar Veldkamp revealed that: His country, along with Sweden, sent a letter to the Union calling for pressure on the Israeli occupation and Hamas to reach an agreement in Gaza, confirming that the Netherlands will propose imposing a ban on the import of settlement products from the West Bank.

Iceland: Foreign Minister Simon Harris directed a strong letter to the Union, saying: "If we do not impose sanctions on Israel now, when will we?" stressing that: "International organizations have proven the occurrence of acts of genocide in Gaza and that condemnations are no longer sufficient."

Austria: Foreign Minister Beate Reisinger announced that: Her country is seeking to take concrete measures against extremist settlers, including imposing specific sanctions, noting that: "The humanitarian situation in Gaza is catastrophic and requires urgent intervention."

Denmark: Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen stated that: His country is ready to impose sanctions on ministers in Benjamin Netanyahu's government and to prevent the export of settlement products, while Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen accused the Tel Aviv government of "shirking its responsibilities" and showing no signs of changing its course.

Slovenia: Foreign Minister Tanja Fajon clarified that her country has already taken measures against the Israeli occupation, including preventing the entry of Israeli ministers and banning trade dealings and arms exports, confirming that she will demand stricter European steps.

Norway: (not a member of the Union but a partner in European policies) Foreign Minister Espen Barth emphasized the need to provide "strong support for building a Palestinian state, ending the war, delivering aid, and pressuring the Israeli occupation."

These European positions come amid the ongoing reckless aggression of the Israeli occupation on Gaza since October 7, 2023, with direct American support, which has so far resulted in 64,605 martyrs and more than 163,319 injured, most of whom are women and children, in addition to hundreds of thousands of displaced persons.

The famine caused by the war and siege has led to the martyrdom of 399 Palestinians, including 140 children, according to official Palestinian statistics.

Despite these catastrophic figures, the European Union remains unable to take a unified stance towards the Israeli occupation, amid internal disagreements reflecting a divergence between countries pushing for sanctions and recognition of the Palestinian state, and others clinging to a diplomatic discourse lacking any effective pressure tools.

Between condemnation and justification.. this is London's confused stance on the crimes in Gaza.

A message sent by former Foreign Secretary David Lammy revealed that: "The war does not meet the standards, although he describes the Israeli bombing as: utterly horrific."

In a report published by The Times and prepared by Matt Dathan and Alex Farber, they stated that: "The British government does not believe that Israel's actions in Gaza constitute genocide, and until last week, the British government insisted that the issue of whether Israel committed genocide is a matter for the courts, not for governments."

However, Lammy said in a letter to the Chair of the International Development Committee in Parliament last week that: "The assessment conducted by the Foreign Office concluded that Israel's actions do not constitute genocide."

The letter, which was sent before his replacement as Foreign Secretary in the cabinet reshuffle, stated: "According to the Genocide Convention, genocide is not considered a crime unless there is a 'specific intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnic, racial, or religious group'."

In May, Hamish Falconer, Minister for Middle Eastern Affairs, told Members of Parliament: "The UK government's firm position is that any official determination of genocide is a matter for a competent court, not for governments or non-judicial bodies."

His letter came in response to a strongly worded letter from Sarah Champion, Chair of the International Development Committee in the House of Commons, in which she demanded answers on how the UK’s policy of continuing to supply spare parts for F-35 fighter jets indirectly sent to the occupying state of Israel aligns with its international duty to prevent genocide.

For Prime Minister Keir Starmer, this is a critical diplomatic period in the Israeli occupation war in Gaza, as he is set to recognize the State of Palestine later this month unless the occupying state of Israel meets strict conditions.

On Monday, he hosted Mahmoud Abbas, President of the Palestinian Authority, at Downing Street, and on Wednesday he will host the Israeli occupying President, Isaac Herzog.

In his response to Champion's letter, Lammy, who became Minister of Justice and Deputy Prime Minister in Starmer's cabinet reshuffle, stated that the government "carefully considered" the issue of genocide.

He said that: "Despite the government's conclusion, Israel's actions in Gaza were 'extremely horrific' given the large number of civilian casualties, including women and children, and the 'widespread destruction' it caused."

Lammy stated that the occupying state of Israel "must make greater efforts to prevent and alleviate the suffering caused by this conflict."

He added that: "The Foreign Office has conducted several assessments regarding the issue of genocide, including when the government decided to exempt British-made spare parts for the F-35 from suspending 30 licenses for arms exports to Israel."

In September 2024, the British government suspended export licenses to the occupying state of Israel last September due to the risk of British-made weapons being used in violations of international law in Gaza.

However, it exempted the supply of British-made components for American-made F-35 fighter jets, as they are part of a broader NATO defense program, essential for maintaining international peace.

More than 1,300 workers in the entertainment industry, including prominent actors and directors, have pledged to refuse to work with Israeli film institutions, which they see as "involved in genocide and apartheid against the Palestinian people."

Among the actors who accused "many governments of causing the massacre in Gaza" were Olivia Colman, Amy Lou Wood, Susan Sarandon, and Mark Ruffalo, who stated: "The International Court of Justice, the highest court in the world, ruled that there is a potential risk of genocide occurring in Gaza, and that Israel's occupation and apartheid system against Palestinians is illegal."

The organization "Cinema Workers for Palestine" published this pledge, claiming that "the vast majority" of the Israeli film industry has never supported the rights of the Palestinian people.

Genocide of a different kind.. Why does the occupation target the trees of the West Bank?

The loss suffered by the Palestinians from the village of al-Mughayer, northeast of Ramallah, was devastating when the occupation bulldozers came in late August and destroyed thousands of olive trees, depriving dozens of families of their livelihood and one of the most important factors for their steadfastness and resilience.

In the darkness of night, the efforts of five years put in by Palestinian Nabil al-Nawaj'a were lost when he saw the fruits of 150 grapevines, which were uprooted by settlers from their roots near the municipality of Yatta, south of Hebron, last month.

What happened in al-Mughayer, although shocking in its scale, is happening every day in the occupied West Bank as part of a genocide being perpetrated by the occupation army since 1967 against trees and agricultural fields, considering them one of the most prominent factors for the Palestinians' stability in their land.

According to experts, millions of Palestinian trees in the West Bank, especially olive trees, have been destroyed for ideological motives and security pretexts.

A monthly report by the Palestinian Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission indicates that settler attacks, with the help of the occupation army, resulted in the uprooting, destruction, and poisoning of 11,700 trees in the occupied West Bank during August, including 11,599 olive trees.

Most of these were in the Ramallah and Al-Bireh governorate (10,081 trees), Nablus (658 trees), Jenin (400 trees), followed by Salfit (221 trees) and Bethlehem (140 trees).

According to the commission's reports, the occupation army and settlers have destroyed a total of 126,739 trees since 2017, while official Palestinian data indicates that about 2.5 million trees have been uprooted, about two-thirds of which are olive trees.

In recent years, the tree uprooting operations have been as follows: 2017 (3,260 trees), 2018 (7,000 trees), 2019 (5,019 trees), 2020 (16,507 trees), 2021 (22,108 trees), 2022 (10,291 trees), 2023 (21,731 trees), 2024 (14,212 trees), 2025 (26,611 trees, including 11,700 trees during August).

According to settlement researcher Rajeh Talhama, the occupation authorities promote security justifications or military pretexts or claims of building roads and infrastructure to uproot thousands of trees, while settlers commit their crimes to pressure Palestinian residents to displace them.

Talhama adds that most of the tree uprooting operations this year were carried out 'under the pretext of military necessity,' and legal justifications were provided or the army commander deemed it a military necessity, including ancient olive trees.

He continued that among the justifications announced was that the presence of trees poses a threat to the security of the occupation, resulting in the uprooting of thousands of them, the latest being in the village of al-Mughayer, northeast of Ramallah.

In parallel with the efforts to displace and forcibly transfer Palestinian citizens in the West Bank alongside the genocide in the Gaza Strip, Talhama noted the presence of operations to replace trees with alternatives.

He clarified that settlers and the army uproot Palestinian trees such as grapes, olives, and almonds, and in return, they plant the needs of the settlements with the same varieties.

He pointed to the role of pastoral settlement in destroying trees 'as herds of sheep and cows are released into Palestinian fields to eat the leaves, leading to their damage.'

He mentioned that 40 pastoral outposts perform this role in the Hebron governorate alone, and similar attacks are repeated in other governorates of the occupied West Bank.

In exchange for controlling the land under various titles and providing food security for the settlements, Palestinians are pursued in their daily sustenance, according to Talhama, who emphasized the importance of agriculture in the lives of Palestinians as a cultural heritage and a factor for stabilizing citizens in their lands throughout the ages.

Licensed institutions, for his part, says Hassan Breijieh, director of the International Law Department at the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, that the occupation and settlers do not view trees merely as enemies, but that the 'cultivated land irritates them, and they seek to control it.'

He explained that barren land or land that is cultivated seasonally is easier to control through an old Ottoman law that allows the seizure of uncultivated land and its conversion into state land, or a military order is issued to confiscate it, even though the occupation itself
