The Israeli army warned Palestinians in the "Tayba Tower 2" residential building and the nearby displaced persons tents in the Gaza port area west of the city "to evacuate immediately" before attacking.
Israeli army spokesperson Avichai Adraee said in a post on the American "X" platform: "An urgent warning to all who have not yet evacuated the Gaza port area and the southern Rimal neighborhood in blocks 663, 785, 786, 787, especially in Tayba Tower 2 marked in red and in the nearby tents."
He added that "the army will attack the building soon," claiming "there are Hamas terrorist infrastructures inside or next to it."
For days, Israel has been conducting a gradual campaign to destroy high-rise residential buildings in Gaza City, increasing the number of displaced families and pushing them into harsh displacement conditions.
These attacks on high-rise residential buildings come after the Israeli army announced on Saturday the expansion of its military operations in Gaza City as part of "Gideon Vehicles 2."
On the same day, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu boasted that his army had destroyed 50 residential buildings in Gaza City within two days, vowing to demolish more and proceed with plans for displacement.
The army will attack the building soon, claiming there are Hamas terrorist infrastructures inside.
