The Holocaust...and Don Quixote's Wars

Written by: Ziyad Abu Ziyad

There is no doubt that there is a great exaggeration in the Don Quixote battle now raging between those who revolted against President Abbas because of his use of the Holocaust adjective in describing the daily Israeli war crimes against our people, and those who rose to defend the president as if we were in a war against Germany and not Against the Zionist Jewish influence in it. And if the matter was confined to the official clarification issued by the office of the president, we would have let the hostile trumpets croak until they got tired and fell silent without paying any attention to them, as happened when you tried to exploit the president’s saying about Trump “he will destroy your house”! .. and failed in that.

The President talked about the daily massacres against our people, and his speech came at the same time that the secrets of the brutal massacres that were committed against our people in many Palestinian villages and towns by Jewish gangs during the 1948 war are revealed, and some of these secrets are reinforced by video films and interviews with Jewish people who carried out these massacres and who say while laughing sometimes and smiling at other times that they do not know how many Palestinians they killed - because they were killed - and that they were not taking prisoners and that they were killing en masse those who surrendered to them and sat blindfolded and surrounded by barbed wire. So they fired machine guns at them from zero distance and in cold blood, and some of them talked about acts of rape, looting and other crimes to say the least that they are war crimes, and these days an Israeli film about the Tantura massacre is being shown, and a number of chilling videos are circulating on social media. We are all witnessing with our own eyes these days the acts of killing and abuse that are practiced against us, the elderly, children and women on a daily basis. ‏

There is no doubt that when the president talks about what happened and is happening to his people, he speaks with bitterness and pain, reaching, without realizing it, the point of emotion and anger. And everyone knows that it is not permissible to hold a person accountable for a word or phrase uttered by him in a moment of anger. What the president issued could have been dealt with as an unintentional slip of the tongue in a moment of anger, but the Jewish and Zionist trumpets could not miss an opportunity to remind the world of the Holocaust and Nazism and continue to practice blackmail against the Germans and Europeans as responsible for the crimes of Nazism. They found in the president's slip of the tongue an opportunity that they could not miss to practice that blackmail

We all share the President's anger and frustration with the world's failure to condemn the crimes being committed against our people, and we and he do not deny that the Nazi era and the crimes it committed, including the Holocaust, will remain a stain on humanity for many generations to come. It must be mentioned here that the Holocaust, in which six million Jews are said to have been killed, was not the only crime committed by the Nazis. Rather, there were 22 million Russians killed among those killed by Nazi Germany during World War II. ‏

The world must understand how disappointed we are with its double standards, because despite everything that happened to our people during the 1948 war and what has continued to happen to them since then until today, it constitutes a continuous calamity, but the world, hypocritically and lyingly, does not move a finger about what is going on. Ours, shakes, revolts and gets angry when it comes to Jews or other European peoples, as is the case in Ukraine these days. ‏

Our problem on the media level lies in the fact that we do not present our case well to the world, and that we sometimes do not realize the sensitivity of some words and phrases to the Western audience, and sometimes we do not realize the amount of pressure that the Jewish and Zionist propaganda machine in Europe and America can exert on everyone who beggars. It is the same to prejudice Jewish interests and the tools it uses to blackmail the West, foremost of which is the weapon of the "Holocaust" and anti-Semitism, just as we do not think when we deal with the West in the same way they think, nor with the standards they use. Although the simplest rules of political action require all of this.

Once again, I say that it is wrong to consider the exaggerated reactions by Jewish and Zionist parties in Germany, or parties subject to their influence, to the president's statements, as an opportunity to wage a battle of words against official or unofficial German parties. Germany is trying to hold the stick in the middle, as it cannot deny its history, nor can it abandon its responsibility for that history. At the same time, it is trying to provide financial support to the Palestinian Authority and the Palestinian people, as it has more than once stood by the rights of our people. ‏

Germany is a very important European country, and it even stands at the head of the European Community, and our relationship with it must receive the necessary attention.

The rise of Jewish Presbyterianism.. and the next is more dangerous

Written by: Ziyad Abu Ziyad

The victory achieved by Itamar Ben Gvir, a settler from Kiryat Arba in Hebron, did not come as a surprise to anyone who follows the course of Israeli politics. Right-wing and extreme racism on the other hand.

Ben Gvir has emerged as a lawyer for every settler who carries out attacks against Palestinians anywhere in the occupied territories, by being present and demonstrating in all sites of friction between Palestinians and Jews, the latest of which is Sheikh Jarrah in Jerusalem, and in persevering with his provocative visits to Al-Aqsa Mosque, raising Jewish slogans and symbols, and practicing religious rituals in it, and taking advantage of immunity In his capacity as a member of the Knesset, he carried weapons, declared them, and threatened to use them against the Arabs. His movement was called "Otzma Yehudit", meaning "Jewish power", which is the new name for Kahane's slogan represented by the fist with the word "Kach", meaning thus.

And all of these behaviors are, in their entirety, tickling the emotions and national feelings of the Israeli right.

And in the meantime, Ben G Vir was presenting himself to the Israeli right-wing community as the new, improved version of Meir Kahane and his rightful heir.

Ben Gvir following in the footsteps of Meir Kahane
In a press interview that Hanoch Daum conducted with him seven years ago, Ben Gvir said that the difference between him and Kahane "is not in ideas and principles, not in standards, but rather in the method, as he follows another method." He also said in a speech he gave five years ago at a ceremony commemorating Meir Kahane that Kahane was sincere and that "every word and word that Kahane said is true and accurate and refers to the reality that exists today."

There is no doubt that the audiovisual media has contributed greatly to building Ben Gvir's personality and promoting him, even the media that was covering news of his activities with the intention of criticizing them, because that coverage resonated in the hearts of many right-wingers who saw Ben Gvir express what was going on in themselves. Ben Gvir said three years ago in an interview with Y-Net that the big difference between him and Kahane is that "the media opens the microphones to me."

In order to know the meaning of describing Ben Gvir as a racist or a fascist, it must be noted that the Kahanism to which he belongs calls:
1- Separation between Jews and Arabs on the shores of the sea.
2- Prohibition of intermarriage between Jews and Arabs.
3- Taking away the right to run for office and the right to vote from the Arabs.
4- Enacting a law to make Jerusalem a Jewish city and only Jews are allowed to live in it.

Death to the Arabs... Peace be with the Arabs

Although Ben Gvir is the star that attracted all the lights in the recent Israeli elections, the most important fact is that these elections reflected the true picture of the Jewish society that is constantly deviating towards the racist right, which repeats on all occasions the slogan "Death to the Arabs", and the disappearance of the left-wing Meretz movement from The political scene and its inability to pass the threshold, and it is the only one that raises the slogan "Peace with the Arabs".

In addition, the Labor Party - with its various names - which founded the State of Israel and controlled the government in it until 1977, entered a stage of fading during the last two decades until it almost disappeared, just as the Meretz movement disappeared this time, as it passed the electoral threshold with difficulty and only got one. Four seats, while the Religious Zionist Party led by Ben Gvir and Bezalel Smotrich won 14 seats, the representation of the Sephardic religious movement Shas rose to eleven seats, and the total number of seats for religious parties and Likud rose to 64 seats, which will allow Netanyahu to form a homogeneous and stable right-wing government.

Although many observers and analysts warn that the landslide victory achieved by the religious and the extreme national right leads to the establishment of a fascist racist government, what is more dangerous than that is that what happened in the recent Israeli elections is not the end but the beginning.

I have written repeatedly and said on many occasions that there are social shifts within Israeli society that are constantly pushing this society towards the religious right, which expressed itself in the recent elections through the strong emergence of religious Zionism, which ranked third in size among the Israeli parties that won. In the elections and other right-wing parties led by Likud.

Religious Zionism is not content with participating in the government, but aspires to be the government. While it is calling today for the portfolios of the ministries that have the power to decide everything related to the Arabs, such as the Ministry of Security (Defence), the Ministry of Homeland Security (the police) and the Ministry of Justice, it does not see this as anything but a stage on the road towards seizing power in the coming days.

The concept of the Jewish state and its contradiction with democracy

Perhaps benefiting from the lessons of history, especially the history of fascist and racist movements, requires us not to underestimate this development within Israeli society, and requires us to take it absolutely seriously and think in advance of how to deal with it and rise above all individual and factional differences.

We are facing a society that is gradually drowning in Jewish fundamentalist Presbyterianism and does not hesitate or feel any embarrassment while talking about it, but rather sees it as a necessary thing. In order to put the reader in front of a clear conception of what is meant by the Presbyterian state, it is necessary to cite what the thinker and philosopher Gershon Feiler (1926-1994) wrote, that the Jewish state means defeating secularism, liberalism and democracy. And it is based on the following principles:

• Torah laws are superior to man-made laws.
• The secular, democratic State of Israel is an illegitimate body, and must be replaced in the future by the State of Halekha (ie, the state of Jewish law).
• The duty to submit and respect the government is related to the extent of the government's respect and submission to the Torah.
• It is not permissible to install a king or a government that heaven does not approve of.
• The opinion of the majority has no weight because there is no validity for any law or any decision of the sinful sinful government that contradicts the provisions of the Torah, and it is a religious duty to reject its laws and decisions, and it is strictly forbidden to accept the opinion of the erroneous majority.
• There is only one opinion in Israel and no more, and everyone who contradicts that one opinion, which is the opinion of God's Torah, even if those are the majority of the Israeli people, their opinion is an abnormal and deviant opinion.
• There is a need for a system governed by one person and one word, the president, and not the delegation of tens and hundreds of delegates and parties.
• Every person who does not do the work of God's people, and does not submit to the Torah, loses his right and position.
• Pseudo-intellectualism must be isolated because their hostility to religion reflects their disgusting interior.

Reflection on this concept of the Jewish religious state makes us notice that it is not much different from the concept of the state of any fundamentalist group, including the concept of ISIS, Khomeini, the concept of Boko Haram, and others. But at the same time, while the world stands against all fundamentalist movements, especially Islamic ones, describing them as terrorism and waging war against them, we find that no one dares to talk about Jewish fundamentalism as an extremist terrorist movement.

In my opinion, it is not permissible to underestimate the danger posed by the continued growth of the influence of fundamentalist religious Judaism on governance in Israel and the possibility that a day will come soon when it will be the decision-maker in the Presbyterian State of Israel.

What do we expect from the next government?
It is not inconceivable that Netanyahu himself has fears of this scenario, although he is compelled at this stage to see them as indispensable allies, and he may take advantage of the pressure exerted on him by some of his Western allies, including America, in order to try to hold the stick in the middle so that he remains The religious right is in the arena of its allies on the one hand, and on the other hand it is trying to expand the non-extremist Jewish base of its government and to include other Jewish parties such as Gantz or Lapid to reassure its critics in the West and evade their pressure, and so that it is not the subject of blackmail by religious fundamentalists and so that it is not the face that represents its government before the world.

In all cases, the rise of Jewish Zionism, along with other religious parties such as Shas and United Torah Judaism, and the fading or diminishing of the strength of secular parties such as Meretz and the Labor Party, should be a red light for us and for the world that is concerned with stability in the region, because the emergence and increase of the strength of these groups only means fueling The flames of religious conflict and confrontation between armed fundamentalist Jews who enjoy the protection of the Israeli army and police, and unarmed Palestinian civilians.

We are on the verge of a stage that is the most dangerous since the occupation of 1967. A stage whose most prominent features will be the expansion of existing settlements, legitimizing outposts and turning them into settlements, ignoring the fact that groups of settlers have seized privately owned Palestinian land and established new outposts on top of them, giving Permits to establish private Jewish farms and facilities on Palestinian lands, turning a blind eye and possibly encouraging settler violence against Palestinians in Jerusalem and the West Bank, expanding settlement infrastructure to connect remote settlements with Israel at the expense of appropriating more Arab lands, and other practices.

And we need to reconsider all our political calculations, whether internal or regional, because the imminent danger coming with the resurgence of extremist racist Judaism calls for us to be up to the challenge that puts us before: “To be or not to be, that is the question,” according to Shakespeare.

The dialogue of guns, stones and burning tires away from the dialogue of salons

Written by: Ziyad Abu Ziyad

Despite the special status that Algeria enjoys among the Palestinian people because of its absolute support for them and their cause on the official and popular levels, the announcement that Algeria will host a new dialogue in the series of reconciliation meetings did not receive serious attention from the Palestinian public opinion, and even those who cared about this meeting were divided into two groups: The first is pitying the brotherly Algeria out of disappointment because it believes that this meeting will fail as the meetings that preceded it failed, for chronic reasons that everyone knows, and will cause embarrassment to Algeria, which is dear to the heart of every Palestinian. The financial resources that this meeting will cost her, as it is, according to her, a resting point in the series of reconciliation meetings that have turned into more like tourist tours.
The observer is not inclined to direct any blame, whether to those sympathetic to Algeria who fear embarrassment and failure for it, or those who mocked and mocked the parties to dialogue and reconciliation. This is the tenth meeting in a series of those meetings, in which Mecca, Cairo, Doha, Moscow, Beirut and Algeria were some of its stations, and they were all sterile without success.
In my humble opinion, the issue of reconciliation is no longer the subject of any practical discussion because it is not included in the calculations of either Fatah or Hamas after a new reality has crystallized on the ground from which neither of them can liberate or abandon it, whether as organizations or as individuals with influential interests in both and benefiting from this situation. , while the Palestinian people and their national cause became hostage in the hands of the two movements.
Based on this understanding, any approach to rapprochement between the two parties must search for new beginnings and new starting points that start from where each of them stands today and not from where they were together a decade and a half ago, taking into consideration all the internal, regional and international developments.
What is happening on the ground proves that the rift is no longer between Fatah and Hamas, but between the people on the one hand and both movements combined on the other, in addition to the fact that there is a widening gap between the people and the political leaders in general because some of these leaders no longer have any connection with al-Qaeda. Popularity and there is no presence in the field, but it feeds on glories and an outdated "struggle" history.
Therefore, no one should be surprised if the flash of the Algeria match gradually faded, despite all attempts to revive it. What is going on on earth is stronger and greater than all the encounters and white-collar acrobats and idiots laughing.
And if the Algerian dialogue did not succeed in attracting attention, this is because the real dialogue that attracted people’s attention and follow-up was the dialogue of guns, hands, stones and burning tires, which occupied a large area of the map of the homeland and which sent the strongest messages to the other party that after more than half a century and half a decade, our people will not He acquiesces and will not surrender, and he is tirelessly determined to continue his struggle to end the occupation and to live in freedom and dignity on his national soil.
The message of the last days and weeks is a multi-dimensional message, the first dimension of which is the fall of the paper of the traditional frameworks and organizations that have taken refuge in the comfortable seats, relaxed on them and become obsessed with sleepiness, and the second dimension is the high rejection of the occupation and all its detachments and the insistence on continuing the struggle path to achieve the right, and the third dimension of this The message is that our battle and our confrontation is not only with the Israeli military occupation, but also with its settlers who are an integral part of this occupation, especially the generations that were born from them on our occupied land and who were imbued with the culture of violence and terrorism against us under the illusion that this could extract us from it and throw us into the maze of alienation. , Which we saw in the streets of Hawara a few days ago and in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in Jerusalem the day before yesterday, with which we will have upcoming tours and tours that are more like the civil war as it was with the French settlers in Algeria, and it is the one that will resolve the matter of confrontation with the occupation until it leaves with its settlers exactly as it was As it happened in Algeria. The fourth dimension of this message, of which Jerusalem was an essential part of its beating heart, is that there are new facts that are more like the labor pains of a new generation and a new awareness, and that this labor comes from the core of popular legitimacy and that those who were once where they stand The buds of this labor are to take the initiative to search for common denominators with them and to embrace them so that the compass will not be lost or the thinking of anyone will be confused. The goal is the same, which is freedom and the end of the occupation, and reaching this goal requires unity of ranks and goal, and rejecting the frustrated, the skeptical, the handicapped, and those who hasten to rush to collect the crumbs of spoils, under the illusion that the battle is over.
The people who are most entitled to pick up these messages and understand them well are those who crowd every time at the ticket windows to the dialogue tours and who only see them as opportunities for recreation and hiking, perhaps some of them will be better at capturing wisdom and lessons.

Tariq Abu Ziyad, knight of the campaign to recover the bodies of the martyrs

Written by: Jamal Zaqout
Within the framework of the activities of the National Day to recover the bodies of the martyrs, the national campaign devoted one of its main activities to honoring its knight and one of the initiators of its founding, the late fighter Salem Khallah "Tariq Abu Ziyad", and it also launched a book about his national biography.
This took place in a wide national presence, presented by the families of the martyrs whose bodies the campaign succeeded in recovering, and those who are still striving to recover them in order to honor and bury them in a manner befitting them and their human dignity as heroes of the freedom that Palestine deserves.

"Abu Ziyad" is a high stature from the stature of Palestine, which occupies the mind and conscience from the first meeting and without introductions, and it is not possible to leave the memory even after his departure from the world. Abu Ziyad became associated in my memory initially through his friend and companion, my brother, the martyr Bashir Zaqout, and this relationship became a special relationship between our two families, and like many families that were involved in the struggle, it became a relationship of intermarriage that formed an organic extension of the friendship relationship. It was not for my mother, may God have mercy on her, to reach Damascus on her way to visit the tomb of the martyr Bashir in the martyrs' cemetery in Beirut without passing through their house in the Yarmouk camp.

Abu Ziyad remained always in my memory, and before I met him, he was one of the great people who filled the world with their dedication, and the great missions for which they assumed responsibilities. In the later years, after his return to the homeland, I had business relations with him on more than one level. A person will not need much time to quickly identify his leadership traits and his choice of tasks of a special nature. He was creative, enlightened and flexible, and was never a prisoner of thought or ideology when he discovered its need for development or change. Only Palestine, the future of its freedom, and the victory of justice for its people were what preoccupied his mind, and occupied his immediate and long-term concerns. It was not just a coincidence that Abu Ziyad assumed with full responsibility and human warmth the tasks of the national campaign to recover the bodies detained by the occupation forces, or the so-called bodies of the martyrs of numbers.

This file has remained like a black box, and the issue of the martyrs whose bodies are withheld has remained one of the major stumbling blocks in the course of the revolution, as this national and humanitarian issue did not receive the attention it deserves, until the launch of that campaign, with which the name of the great fighter Salem Khallah "Tariq Abu Ziyad" was associated with since. its launch, coordinating its work and activities.

My communication with this exceptional man was strengthened in the midst of the achievements of this campaign and its possession of a serious and tangible space in the Palestinian public opinion, which deserves these martyrs the highest degrees of human and heroic honor at the same time. Abu Ziyad is also a member of its general assembly and then its board of directors. At the time, the government approved the adoption of the "National Day for Retrieving the Bodies of the Martyrs" by a decision of the Council of Ministers on the third of August 2008, considering the twenty-seventh of August of each year as the national day for retrieving the bodies of the Palestinian and Arab martyrs. The continued detention of these bodies by the Israeli occupation authorities, and the failure to disclose the missing persons, is a clear violation, and a fundamental violation of the Hague Treaty of 1907, which is related to the laws and customs of war, as well as a violation of the First Geneva Convention in Articles 15 and 17, which obliges the occupation authorities to hand over the bodies of the martyrs to their families and bury them while preserving their dignity according to their religious and social beliefs.

The campaign succeeded in recovering many bodies, but with the escalation of the occupation's brutality and killings and assassinations in recent years, the number of martyrs whose bodies are withheld continued to increase, and the name of Abu Ziyad remained associated with this campaign that continues its work and pursues its tasks until today.

With the intensification of the impact of the division and the dangers of it turning into a separation that threatens the future and status of the national cause and the rights of our people, and its serious repercussions on Palestinian society, especially the toiling and poor groups, Abu Ziyad was one of the most prominent initiators of launching the "Patriots to End Division" campaign, and we worked together in the follow-up and coordination of the activities of this campaign, as Abu Ziyad always represented a patriotic conscience aware not only of the political dangers of the dimensions of division, but also of the profound harm and impact it inflicts on the lives of our people in the Gaza Strip, and in the countryside and marginalized and settlement-threatening areas in the West Bank, all of which have become prey to the ambitions and plans of the expansionist Zionist colonial project. The system of military and settlement occupation is unique to it. Abu Ziyad has always been the voice of conscience for these groups that are paying the price of division from their daily sustenance, from their sources of livelihood, and from their land that has been violated and threatened with confiscation.

Comrade Salem realized early on the need to dedicate efforts to build a broad democratic current, and the division, which constituted a fatal blow to the national project, came as a result of the state of polarization and the struggle of the powers dominating the Palestinian scene, far from the interests of the overwhelming majority of the sons and daughters of our people. He also realized that this divisional polarization cannot be achieved. To put an end to it without bringing about a fundamental change in the balance of social forces and their political expressions through devotion to the necessity of crystallizing a broad national democratic current that breaks the cycle of infernal division, and is able to restore life to the inclusive national institutions within the framework of a national government whose top priority is the interests of the overwhelming majority, providing the requirements for their steadfastness, and mobilizing Unifying national energies within the framework of the leadership institutions of the Liberation Organization, and reconsidering its coalition nature as a broad national front.

In the difficult moments of his illness, the smile did not leave the face of "Salem al-Yafawi," as the poet Sami al-Kilani calls him, in reference to his birthplace, the beautiful city of Jaffa, from which he was abandoned in his childhood, to settle with his family in Ya`bad al-Qassam, from which he grew up and took the first steps of his long struggle in the various arenas and fields of struggle. .

Your memory will remain as fragrant as our comrade with a magical smile, and your memory and the memory of Bashir and Abu Rabi` will not leave me, which brought you together with a life of struggle and a distinguished personality. The fighter who turns the page of life with the will of the martyrs, and I think these were also your last words in farewell to the journey of life that will not miss your fingerprints, your immortal deeds, your memory, their memory and all the martyrs.

A final and indispensable word, which is that honoring heroes in their lives and in their absence must always be based on respect for their choices and their outcomes. The right to difference and diversity is a feature of living revolutions, and its recognition is a condition for keeping up with the spirit of the times in a changing world.

The greatest fear is "inspiration".. Hebrew newspapers: "Israel" is determined to dismantle the "lion's den"

Translation by "Jerusalem" dot com - Hebrew newspapers said, on Wednesday, that the Israeli army appears determined to dismantle the "Lions' Den" group, and to continue activities against it until its collapse.

According to a report on the website of the Hebrew newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth, the arrests that took place day and night in Jenin and Nablus relatively quietly and without confrontations and shootings as usual, indicate the intentions of the Israeli army that it is concerned with continuing its activities until the collapse of this organization a day after the assassination of its leader Wadih Al-Houh, and since The days of Tamer Al-Kilani, and the liquidation and arrest of others.

The report indicated that the Israeli army is still maintaining its alert in Nablus and setting up checkpoints to prevent the organization’s elements from carrying out attacks, claiming that the residents of Nablus are tired of the current security reality, clashes and the imposition of checkpoints, which has caused damage to their economy, and the casualties contribute to each activity by reducing the level of friction. . according to his claim.

And he indicated that during this morning, activists from the "Black's Den" were arrested in a quick operation in Nablus, during which Iyad al-Nabulsi, the brother of the martyr Ibrahim, who was assassinated last August, was arrested, and another from the same group was found in possession of weapons, and a third wanted person suspected of involvement in a shooting operation was arrested at Hawara. Last month, what caused damage to the vehicle,

The report considered that it was premature to consider the lack of confrontations and clashes in the morning in Nablus as a change in direction due to the continued activities of the Israeli army against members of the organization in the city.

In another report published in the hard copy of Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper, the newspaper said that the liquidation of the "Black's Den" activists will motivate young men to join the active group in Nablus.

The newspaper claimed that the glorification of some Palestinian officials and the leadership of the "Fatah" movement, and their hastening to praise the "Lion's Den" after yesterday's events, came only in order not to accuse the PA and its security services of security cooperation with Israel, which is still continuing on a regular basis.

And it indicated that the governor of Nablus, Ibrahim Ramadan, tried last week again to persuade the leaders of the "Lions' Den" to surrender their weapons and join the wanted agreement, in which they remain in the facilities of the Palestinian Authority and with the passage of time they receive amnesty from the Israeli side, but he failed to do so, and the leaders of the group insisted on refusing to do so. Handing over their weapons, but the recent blows are likely to lead to the organization's leadership having most of its elements agree to the formula of the wanted agreement that emerged for the first time in 2007, according to the newspaper's belief.

The newspaper wondered whether the recent operations would create a state of deterrence among the Palestinians, or ignite the desire for revenge and bring more of them to the streets, noting that there are fears of a broad popular awakening against Israel, although the army and the Shin Bet have so far succeeded in preventing such an outburst. .

For its part, Haaretz newspaper says that the activities in Nablus are part of a broad effort aimed at striking the "Lions' Den", pointing out that the bombing of the group's explosive materials laboratory was aimed at thwarting a plan to carry out large-scale operations with explosive devices.

She pointed out that the reasons that prompted Israel to focus on the "Lions' Den", the first symbolic, relate to the popularity of the group, which is based on a loose hierarchical structure without belonging to any of the old organizations, and its success in igniting the imagination of the young generation in the West Bank and receiving the support of hundreds, especially through social networks, and the second is its registration. It achieved operational successes through a series of operations it carried out in and around Nablus, one of which led to the killing of a soldier, operations that led to increasing preoccupation by the Israeli forces against it after specific warnings.

According to the newspaper, the current declared goal of the Israeli army is to remove wanted persons from feeling safe in areas where the activity of the Palestinian security services is diminishing, and it will not allow the presence of cities as a haven for wanted persons in the West Bank.

The newspaper notes that the Israeli public, as long as there are no casualties among its ranks, is not currently concerned with the ongoing activities led by the Israeli government prior to the elections, and what is happening cannot be separated from these elections that will take place at the beginning of next month.

As for the Palestinians - as the newspaper says - the "Lions' Den" has succeeded in classifying itself as a new and popular phenomenon despite its relatively small number of members, but any claim that will be heard that its collapse in the near time will not be reliable, and because there is no solid organizational background or clear hierarchical structure, it They cannot be identified with this or that activist who will be liquidated or arrested.

She adds: "The Lions' Den" is in fact more an idea than an organizational structure, therefore, it is difficult to stop its spread, and the fact that hundreds of Palestinians gathered last night in the vicinity of the hospital in Nablus to which the injured and the bodies of the victims were brought indicates that there is an important popular phenomenon here. Its name, "Lions' Den", is increasing and will not fade away easily.

For its part, Maariv newspaper considered that the operation in Nablus aims to tighten pressure on the "Lions' Den" after it gained momentum in the Palestinian street, noting that the operation was very successful due to the golden intelligence information that reached the Shin Bet.

The newspaper warned that such successful operations and the fall of Palestinian victims may turn back like an arrow in the face of Israeli security, pointing to fears of the possibility of similar organizations in other areas imitating the work of the "Lions' Den".

The newspaper pointed out that during the coming period, the Israeli army will continue to put pressure on the "Lions' Den" to try to completely dismantle it, pointing out that concerns are also related to the issue of inspiration for Palestinian youths who carry weapons and may participate in a series of attacks, as happened in previous years.

Al-Nakhala: The last battle confirmed the unity of the resistance in all arenas of confrontation

Gaza - "Al-Quds" dot com - Ziyad Al-Nakhala , Secretary-General of the Islamic Jihad Movement, said today, Thursday, that the recent battle with the occupation reaffirmed the unity of the resistance in all arenas of confrontation, without separating what is happening in the West Bank and what is happening in the Gaza Strip.

In his speech during a public festival of the Islamic Jihad Movement, which was organized simultaneously in several areas of the Gaza Strip, Jenin, Beirut and Damascus, Al-Nakhala referred to the occupation's attempt and its keenness to tear the Palestinian unity over time.

He stressed that Hamas and Jihad are one resistance, and all resistance forces with all their titles, factions and names, stressing that the joint operations room is still a national need that must be preserved and strengthened. like he said.

Al-Nakhala added about the last round: "It is a battle that opened horizons for our Palestinian people in the diaspora, so that they can work so that they can be an important part in the upcoming battles with the enemy. It was also a true and sincere expression of the slogans we raise, that our people are one, our destiny is one, and our responsibility is one." According to him.

And he continued, "We must not leave the opportunity for the enemy to spread its poison and stir up partisan and regional strife among us. If it were not for the kindness of God and the awareness of the resistance and its leaders, the dispute would have crept into our hearts and minds, with good or bad intentions." like he said.

And he considered that the last battle, which his movement called "the unity of the arenas," was much more important than some had imagined, whether in what the occupation hoped behind it, or the resulting effects on the future relations and ties of the Palestinian people.

Al-Nakhala stressed that the Islamic Jihad Movement does not break, does not surrender, does not compromise, and has become more present than ever before.

And he stressed that the basic need of the Palestinian people is freedom, and freedom from the occupation that besieges Gaza, and pays the bill for this siege daily from disease, hunger, oppression and death, saying: “The number of our daily deaths from disease in Gaza is more than the number of martyrs who are killed in any Zionist aggression against Our people... in addition to the prices we pay for the valiant West Bank, which the enemy has turned into a major settlement for the flocks of its settlers, who practice killing, vandalism and terror against our people all the time. according to his expression.

And the Secretary General of Islamic Jihad added: “How much of our lives must we voluntarily pay for the occupation to be satisfied with us, and allow us to work as servants and slaves for it in our land?! In our usurped land?! like he said.

And he continued: "We say to the enemy and his supporters and backers: Either you or us in this country that is ours, we will fight you all the time, and we will fight you over everything, and we will continue to fight until you leave... the land is ours, and Jerusalem is ours, and we will fight and not surrender."

And he sent a message to the members of his armed wing, the Al-Quds Brigades, saying: "Our revenge is great, and our responsibilities are growing day by day, so be as we have entrusted you in the field, and as we have entrusted your brothers, the martyrs, do not back down, do not hesitate, always forward, and to the victorious victory."

Al-Nakhala emphasized that the extension of the resistance that appeared in the battle of Gaza, and what is happening in the West Bank, will not stop.

And he stressed that the occupation's daily violations in Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa are an attack on faith and feelings, and the duty of the resistance is to put an end to these violations.

He emphasized his movement's support for the prisoners, and their struggles against the prison administration and the occupation government behind it.

An online platform specializing in divorce sparks reactions in Tunisia

Tunisia - (AFP) - An advertisement for a website that specializes in providing divorce counseling between spouses in Tunisia has sparked widespread reactions in a country that witnesses high divorce rates, according to the authorities.

Last week, large banners with an online address appeared in the streets of the capital, Tunis, to introduce a new website, "The first Tunisian site that supports your decision" that provides counseling services to facilitate the course of the divorce process between couples in the country. And the banner read, "Divorce, the decision is yours, and we take care of the procedures (and we take care of the procedures)."

The campaign sparked a condemnation from the Deanship of Lawyers, which considered that launching a company whose job it is to "encourage" divorce is "unacceptable and threatens families."

The company works, according to the definition on its website, to educate young people about to get married about the importance of choosing a life partner and benefiting from previous stories and experiences so that they can ensure a stable and healthy marital life. In the event that there is a final decision to separate, we provide safe, economic and guaranteed services and support your decision, whether you are a man. or a woman.”

The company set a fee of 1,200 Tunisian dinars (about 374 euros) for performing these services.

"This affects family relations... affects the family's public order and disintegrates the Tunisian family," Dean of Lawyers Hatem Al-Meziou said in Monday's statement.

He added, "We do not know who stands behind them (the company's owners), and they are not lawyers." Therefore, the commission filed a lawsuit against the company and its supervisors, and "we launched litigation procedures," according to Al-Mazio.

The Tunis municipality asked the platform to withdraw the banners "or they will be removed" within two weeks.

"Either he withdraws it or we will remove it," said the mayor of Tunis, Souad Abdel-Rahim, in a statement to state radio.

And local media quoted a statement by the Minister of Women, Family, Childhood and the Elderly, Amal Hajj Musa, last April, in which she confirmed that divorce cases reached 13,000 during the year 2021, which is a "very high" number compared to the population.

Statistics from the National Institute of Statistics (governmental) show that 16,750 divorce cases were registered in 2018, in a country inhabited by about 12 million people.

The platform attributes the high number of divorce cases in the country to "the lack of sexual education and frankness between spouses in material matters, especially in conservative Arab societies."

Tunisian law prohibits polygamy.

France is witnessing an eighth day of mobilization in protest against the pension reform project

For the eighth time since January, opponents of the pension reform proposed by French President Emmanuel Macron demonstrated, on Wednesday, in France , while parliamentarians are trying to find a settlement on this controversial text, and the government seems determined to pass it with or without a vote.

"I tell parliamentarians, do not vote on this law, it is divorced from the reality of work," said Laurent Berger, Secretary General of the CFDT union, before the start of the Paris demonstration in the afternoon.

Since January 19, millions of French people have demonstrated seven times to express their rejection of this reform, the main clause of which is to raise the legal retirement age from 62 to 64 years. This item is causing the most anger.

However, the government's position did not budge and it pursued a strategy to achieve approval of the bill at a rapid pace, using measures contained in the constitution to expedite parliamentary debate.

France is one of the European countries that adopts the lowest retirement age, although the retirement systems are not similar and cannot be completely compared.

In Marseille (south), 7 thousand people demonstrated on Wednesday, according to the police, and 160 thousand according to the union. On March 7, which was the peak of the mobilization, 30,000 demonstrators turned out, according to the police, and 245,000, according to the trade unions.

After demonstrations with record participation on the seventh of March and a day of mobilization that saw fewer numbers last Saturday, the Trade Union Front wants, with this new day of action, to have this effect once again on the vote of representatives, while the government does not have the required majority and therefore needs the support of the right.

Seven deputies and seven senators held a closed meeting in an attempt to reach agreement on the reform draft, which is inevitable before a final vote expected in the National Assembly on Thursday.

As expected, the parliamentarians adopted Article (7) of the bill, which stipulates postponing the legal age from 62 to 64 years. It is clear that the supporters of this amendment represent the majority in the formation of this committee.

The text is scheduled to be presented Thursday morning to the Senate, which is dominated by the right, for approval one last time, and uncertainty prevails about another vote in the afternoon in the National Assembly in light of the continuing divisions within the Republican Party (right).

"The government seeks more than ever that the natural majority supports this urgent and decisive reform of our country," government spokesman Olivier Ferrand said after the cabinet meeting.

This uncertainty may prompt the government to resort to a constitutional weapon known as Article 49.3, which allows the bill to be approved without a vote in Parliament. But she hopes that she will not be forced to use this measure, which may exacerbate the rejection of this reform, which is opposed by the majority of the French.

On the tenth day of the strike of garbage collection workers opposing this reform in the streets of Paris, waste is piling up in the capital of world tourism, as about seven thousand tons of waste accumulate in the streets of Paris, according to the municipality.

And there are no signs, in fact, of any improvement in this situation, as the cleaners and waste collectors of the municipality of Paris voted on Tuesday morning to continue their strike until at least March 20.

In parallel, extendable strikes continue in several major sectors, from transportation to energy, according to a trade union official.

Electricity generation in France decreased on Wednesday morning by 10,710 megawatts, the equivalent of ten nuclear reactors, according to the General Electricity Company.

The Palais de Bregançon, the official residence of the presidency in the south, suffered a power outage.

Regarding gas, employees of four LNG terminals and 11 storage sites renewed their strike until early next week.

Many refineries are still on strike Wednesday.

The movement of trains of the National Railway Company (SNCF) is still affected by the protests, and traffic remains disrupted on some roads in the north of the country.

Also, 20 percent of flights at Paris-Orly airport were canceled due to the air traffic controllers' strike.

In road transport, barriers are also erected in the country.

Emmanuel Macron, who was re-elected president in April 2022, risks a large part of his political capital on this text, which, according to the government, aims to respond to the financial deterioration in pension funds and the aging population.

Berri warns of "catastrophic repercussions" for the vacancy of the presidency in Lebanon

Lebanon 's Parliament Speaker , Nabih Berri , warned today, Wednesday, of "catastrophic repercussions" for the absence of a president for the country and the disruption of the work of public institutions.

Berri's warning came, according to the official (National News Agency), to delegations that visited him today, as he expressed his hope that "Parliament will be able to complete the presidential elections soon."

And he considered that "everyone is required to realize that no one has the luxury of wasting time in light of the deteriorating financial, economic and living conditions, especially after the collapse of the Lebanese pound" and its loss of 98.5% of its value since the fall of 2019.

And he warned that "prolonging the vacancy in the position of the presidency of the republic and persisting in obstructing the work of institutions will have catastrophic repercussions from which no one will be spared, even the unemployed."

Berri stressed that "electing a president for the republic is the key to a solution that paves the way for a rescue path."

He added, "Lebanon possesses all the ingredients for advancement and recovery from the crises it is facing," pointing out that "this depends on investment on sincere intentions and benevolent will."

He stressed that "Lebanon is too small to be divided, and that there is no option to approach all issues, no matter how big or small, except through dialogue and consensus, and at the forefront is the presidency of the republic."

On October 31, Lebanon entered a presidential vacuum with the end of the term of former President Michel Aoun, without electing a successor, as the political division and the lack of agreement by the parliamentary blocs on a consensual figure led to the failure of Parliament 11 times since last September to elect a new president for the country.

The presidential vacancy coincides with a resigned caretaker government amid an economic crisis since 2019, which the World Bank ranked among the worst in the world in 150 years.

"M16 T-shirt" raises panic among the Israelis!

A translation of "Jerusalem" dot com - The spread of a "T-shirt" printed with an M16 rifle caused panic among the Israelis after it spread to the Palestinian areas of the interior, following its spread in the West Bank recently.

According to the Hebrew Channel 12, many Palestinians from the interior were seen wearing these clothes, including those who did so during their workplaces in the midst of the Israeli public, which caused a state of panic.

Alon Eviatar, a former official in the office of the "coordinator", said during an interview with the Hebrew channel that this message from the Palestinians inside is undoubtedly a message of support for the armed struggle of the Palestinians, and that it is part of Hamas' atmosphere of incitement. According to his description.

Eviatar considered that these clothes aim to glorify and support what the weapon symbolizes, but it remains a problem and not a phenomenon, but the worrying thing is that it is widely used among children and young men, which reminds us of similar clothes that spread during the second intifada.

During the past week, video clips were documented showing 3 Palestinians from the interior working in the commercial branches of "Rami Levy", wearing those clothes, and after that it was decided to dismiss them from work, which prompted the company yesterday to issue instructions that all employees must come to work in the company's uniform only. .

This issue was raised among the Israelis through social networks, where they expressed a state of anger about what is happening, while the "Israel My Country" movement called on the Israelis through the social networks to document any similar attempts and send them to them, considering this as "support for terrorism." as described.
