The Ministry of Transportation told Al-Quds: We told companies that have trucks to avoid entering city centers
Ramallah - exclusive to "Al Quds" dot com - Ministry of Transport and Communications spokesman Musa Rahhal confirmed today, Wednesday, that the ministry has addressed companies that have heavy trucks to avoid entering city centers at peak times.
In an interview with Al-Quds.com, Rahal indicated that some companies responded to the ministry's letter and committed themselves, and some did not, but that matter is related to the general culture of truck drivers, and the need for there to be full awareness in this regard.
Rahal stressed that work must be done to take the necessary precautions for safety, and adhere to the law in this regard related to the time of trucks passing through city centers, because whoever does not comply will be subject to violations specified by the traffic law, and here comes the role of the traffic police to implement the law.
Rahal pointed out that the passage of trucks in city centers is subject to traffic regulation in accordance with the traffic law, and there are well-known traffic signs placed in some roads and city centers, and trucks are allowed to pass through city centers according to specific hours.
Rahal touched on the non-compliance of some truck drivers while driving on the main streets over which there is no control of the authority, with the traffic laws or driving in the wrong way and not adhering to the safety rules, indicating that if there was Palestinian control over the main streets, work would be underway to establish lanes for trucks. .
