Ben Gvir confirms that the "National Guard" is tasked with confronting the Palestinians inside

The so-called Israeli Minister of National Security , Itamar Ben Gvir , confirmed that his plan to establish the "National Guard" aims to prevent a recurrence of the scenario of what happened during the "Guardian of the Walls / Sword of Jerusalem " in May 2021.

Ben Gvir said in an interview with the Hebrew newspaper, Israel Hayom, on Monday, that more than 700 days have passed since the “guard of the walls,” and there is still no “national guard” dealing with any similar events.

He pointed out that the establishment of this force will not take much time, noting that he will seek to run it as soon as possible.

He renewed his rejection of the criticism directed at the formation of this force, which some described as a private "militia" that will implement Ben Gvir's orders against the Palestinians of the interior .

This is how "Israel" prepares to deal with the "Wall Guard 2" scenario!

The Hebrew newspaper, Haaretz, said today, Monday, that the Israeli security system is preparing for the “guard of the walls 2” scenario, through several measures that will be taken after they were recently discussed in the corridors of that system.

Among what has been focused on is the mobilization of reserve forces from the Israeli army to deal with any unusual events that may take place in the mixed cities in which Arabs and Jews live in the cities of the Green Line, according to the newspaper.

The newspaper indicated that if the new "National Guard" plan is implemented, which will be supervised by the so-called Minister of National Security Itamar Ben Gvir, this force will not act as regular police, but as paramilitary forces that will be used in times of emergency in the Green Line areas and deal mainly with Any national events among the Palestinians inside .

And the newspaper indicated that, in recent months, joint meetings were held between the police and the Israeli army, during which the division of powers and roles was discussed in the event of the "guard of the walls 2" scenario, with reference to the battle of "Saif al-Quds" as it was named in Palestine in May 2021.

Recently, an executive plan was drawn up according to which reserve forces from the Israeli Home Front would be deployed to secure traffic on dozens of roads in these mixed cities, which are supposed to be carried out by the police and, in the future, the National Guard. However, there are fears that the recruitment of reserve forces From the army means that the latter finds itself in the face of "the Arabs in Israel."

Knesset member Yoav Segalovich of the Yesh Atid party, a former deputy minister of internal security, will ask the Foreign Affairs and Security Committee in the Knesset to hold a discussion on this issue after the Jewish “Passover” holiday, telling the Hebrew newspaper that this requires broad and deep thinking because it carries risks. A great strategy, noting that he fears that the "Arab public in Israel will see that this plan aims to militarize relations."

Segalovich warned that if the soldiers fired live bullets at the "Arabs" during any events, this could be a very negative turn that would threaten relations and have political consequences.

The Israeli security system justifies the deployment of reserve forces from its army by saying that the police do not have enough manpower to deal with the situation, and therefore light reserve forces will be deployed with cars and equipped with firearms and means of dispersing demonstrations.

And the intention is that 16 battalions will be deployed, especially in large parts of the Negev, on the main roads in the north, and to protect strategic infrastructure sites. Almost half of this number has already been formed and its elements have undergone initial training. The possibility of deploying reserve battalions in neighborhoods has also been discussed. East Jerusalem, although that is not part of the plan.

A senior security source criticized the proposals discussed in the meetings, warning that the assignment scenarios that are assigned to the Israeli army represent a strategic shift in conflict situations and wars regarding “the loyalty of the Arabs to Israel,” and that such a step would change the rules of the game in dealing with them, pointing to The risks of the police's ability to contain any event that deviates from its normal state were discussed, in light of the estimates that a small number will participate in the events if they occur.

The Shin Bet estimates that 5,000 Palestinians from the interior may take part in the events, which is a small number that needs to be dealt with with individual treatment tools and is not part of a comprehensive policy towards all Palestinians inside.

The newspaper says that the Israeli army has failed more than once to deal with violent demonstrations inside the West Bank, and therefore it will face great difficulties in the event that similar demonstrations occur among the Palestinians inside, especially since the lack of adequate preparation and training for the reserve units may prompt the use of live ammunition, which leads to a comprehensive confrontation. within the green line areas.

French Championship: Saint-Germain falls to Lyon and continues to waste points with a second consecutive loss

Paris Saint-Germain, the leaders, continued wasting points after falling for the second consecutive match at home, this time against Lyon 0-1 on Sunday in the 29th stage of the French Football League .
And Saint-Germain, who suffered its fifth loss this season, fell to Rennes zero-2 in the “Parc des Princes” during the last stage before the international stoppage, to freeze its score at 66 points, 6 points ahead of its new runner-up Lens, who beats Marseille III by goal difference.
Monaco, who beat Strasbourg 4-3, are fourth with 57 points.
Portuguese Saint-Germain defender Danilo said after the loss, "We do not respect the system, and we do not do everything we can. Even on our land, we do not give everything."
He added, "We have to do our best, it is difficult for us to win. We are in a difficult stage, we have to get out of it because our opponents are six points behind. We have to wake up. The title is not guaranteed at all, there are still a lot of matches...".
Lyon started as a defender, but he gave up his caution to get a penalty kick after a mistake by Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma on Alexandre Lacazette (39), who executed it himself and wasted it (39).
Lacazette missed 23 percent of the penalty kicks he took with Lyon in official competitions (7 out of 31), according to the "Stats Foot" statistics agency.
On the other hand, Saint-Germain searched for depth, similar to the move of the Portuguese Nuno Mendes, as the ball hit the hand of Lyon’s Croatian defender Dejan Lovren inside the area without the referee awarding a penalty kick (45 + 2).
Lyon compensated for the wasted penalty kick with a team game, which was started by Brazilian defender Thiago Mendes to Sail Combedi inside the area on the right side, and from him a cross passed in front of the goal and reached the young attacking substitute, 20-year-old Bradley Barkola, so the latter followed it up in the net (56) in his fourth goal in the match. 19 matches played in the league this season.
Moussa Dembele, substitute for Lacazette, hit a powerful ball that Donnarumma blocked in the second half (70), Moroccan Ashraf Hakimi responded to it from inside the area with a shot that passed by the post (81).
With this victory, Lyon advanced to ninth place with 44 points.
And for the second time in a row, the Argentine star in Saint-Germain, Lionel Messi, was booed by some of the “Parc de Princes” fans during the match, whose start was postponed for a period of 10 minutes from the scheduled time due to the late arrival of the bus that was carrying the Lyon team, according to what the Parisian club reported.
While announcing the team's squad over the loudspeaker, some fans booed when the Argentine star was mentioned, while some of them chanted "Messi!" Welcome to the Qatar World Cup champion.
The owner of the number 30 shirt was also subjected to whistles by spectators who were in the stands an hour before the starting whistle.
Messi played his 50th match with the capital club in the league, and last year he was a victim of whistles with his Brazilian colleague Neymar after the Champions League exit against Real Madrid.
The same scene was repeated this season after a new fall in the main continental competition against Bayern Munich, which leaves more than one question mark about the fate of the little “flea” in Paris.
During two seasons, Messi played 67 matches in various competitions, scoring 29 goals.
Monaco maintained its chances of booking a ticket to the Champions League competition, with a difficult victory over Strasbourg.
The Emirate club's quartet, which trailed 1-2 at the end of the first half, scored the Brazilian Fanderson (19), the French-Moroccan Elias Ben Saghir (54), substitute Aidan Diop (58) and Youssef Fofana (65), before the latter was sent off after 13 minutes. scoring his goal.
And he alternated with the Strasbourg trio, South African Lippo Motiba (32), Chilean Guillermo Maripan by mistake in his team’s goal (41), and Senegalese Habib Diallo (90 + 3).
Lille imposed its supremacy on its stadium, “Pierre-Moroy”, where it had not tasted loss since last August, thanks to two late goals from Kosovar substitute Idon Zegrova in the 89th and 90th + 1 minutes, after Remy Kabila opened the scoring in the 13th minute. Ibrahima scored for the loser, the financial substitute. Konya (78).
Lorient continued the meeting with ten players, after midfielder Laurent Abergil was sent off in the 79th minute.
This victory allowed Lille to monopolize the last fifth place that qualifies for European participation, with 52 points at the expense of Rennes, who lost 0-1 to Lens on Saturday, to freeze its score at 50 points in sixth place.
Reims returned to the winning streak by defeating Nantes 3-0, which was scored by Alexis Phillips (38 and 39) and Marshall Munetsi from Zimbabwe (58).
Nantes suffered a moral blow, as he fell three days before his match against Lyon in the semi-finals of the local cup.
The "Canary" team is only 4 points away from the relegation zone, as it occupies the fourteenth place with 30 points.
Reims, who had lost at home to Marseille 1-2 in the last stage before the international break, achieved its fifth victory in its last seven matches in the league, raising its score to 46 points in seventh place, a point ahead of Nice, which tied against its host Angers, bottom of the standings 1-1. .
Angers, who suffered 22 defeats this season, lost their chances of remaining in the first division, 9 stages before the end.
Clermont-Ferrand overturned its delay with a goal against its guest, Ajaccio, scored by Monem El-Idrissi from Moroccan roots (25) to a fatal victory 2-1, thanks to two goals by Gregan Key in the 60th and 90th + 3 minutes from two penalty kicks.

England Championship: Newcastle takes revenge on United and removes it from third place

Newcastle took revenge on its guest, Manchester United, and removed it from third place by defeating it 2-0 on Sunday in the twenty-ninth stage of the English Football League .
The match was a rematch of the League Cup final, which United won 2-0 on February 26 to win its first title since 2017, which made coach Eddie Howe's team fully motivated to emerge victorious in front of his fans.
And Newcastle deserved its third consecutive and thirteenth victory this season, as it was the best party throughout the match periods.
Newcastle raised its tally to 50 points in third place, on goal difference, from Dutch coach Eric Ten Hag's team, who failed to win for a third stage in a row, after the historic defeat against rivals Liverpool 0-7 and a goalless draw with its host Southampton.
United may drop to fifth place on Monday if Tottenham (49 points) win at Everton.
And Newcastle defender Dan Bourne expressed his happiness with this victory, telling Sky Sports that it was a “really special” victory. United have always hated us as fans... It was good to get the win today. .
And he believed that "it was a great result today. We are now entering the last 11 matches with a really good chance" in order to obtain a qualifying position for the Champions League competition next season.
The fast-paced start came with mutual attacks, but Newcastle was the most dangerous and approached the opening of the scoring with a double first chance for Swede Alexander Isaac from a header. Spanish goalkeeper David de Gea shone in blocking it, then got up quickly to stand in the face of Joe Willock (16), before shining again. He was blocked by a long shot by Frenchman Alain Saint-Maximin (17).
Then the real chances of the two goals were absent until the 38th minute, when Sean Longstaff fired a missile ball from outside the area, which passed very close to the right post of De Gea’s goal, who again escaped from a goal with another powerful shot, this time from Willock just over the crossbar (41).
Newcastle started the second half from where the first ended, and Swiss Fabian Char tested his luck with a shot from outside the area, but the ball passed by the left post (58).
In the midst of the offensive deficit, Ten Hag decided to throw in the French Anthony Martial and Gaydon Sancho instead of the Brazilian Anthony and the Dutchman Fout Fijkhorst (61), but nothing changed, but Newcastle managed to open the scoring with a header from Willock after a group game and a head pass from Isaac (65).
Newcastle was close to directing the knockout blow to its guest with a second goal, but De Gea saved the situation with the help of the crossbar after a header by Brazilian substitute Jolinton, then the ball reached Char and turned it with his head to find the savior Martial, who removed it from the goal line (76).
But Howe's men made amends in the 88th minute and finally settled the three points, thanks to substitute Callum Wilson's header, following a free kick carried out by Kieran Trippier from the right, confirming this, United's seventh defeat in the league this season.
Moroccan Nayef Akrad gifted his team, West Ham, a fateful victory for the struggle to stay in the Premier League, by scoring the only goal of the match against its guest, Southampton.
Akrd scored the only goal in the 25th minute with a header with a free kick, giving the Scottish coach David Moyes' team a six-point victory, since it came at the expense of a team also competing for survival among the seniors.
And with his seventh victory this season, which he would have escaped if the crossbar had not helped him by blocking Nigerian Paul Inuacho’s header in the 86th minute, West Ham raised its score to 27 points in the fourteenth place, while Southampton’s balance froze at 23 in the last twentieth place after receiving the eighteenth defeat for this. season.

Italian Championship: Milan humiliates Napoli in a “rehearsal” for the Champions League

Milan, the defending champion, inflicted its third defeat on its host, Napoli, on Sunday, 4-0, in the twenty-eighth stage of the Italian Football League , in a meeting that is considered a "rehearsal" for the upcoming confrontation between them in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
It seems that the vast difference that Napoli built in the lead made him relax a bit, as two of his three defeats this season occurred in the last four stages.
However, coach Luciano Spalletti's team is still in a very comfortable position and is steadily moving towards the first title for the southern club since 1990, as it is 16 points ahead of its closest pursuers, with 10 stages remaining until the end of the season.
On the other hand, the victory was very important for Milan for the battle to participate in the Champions League next season, and it allowed it to become third with 51 points, a point behind its neighbor Inter, who lost Saturday at home to Fiorentina 0-1.
This revenge victory over the team that knocked him down in Milan 2-1 also gives him the necessary morale in order to approach the upcoming confrontation between them in the quarter-finals of the Champions League, where the “Rossoneri” will receive the first leg on the 12th of this month, before traveling back to the south on the 18th.
Milan was the best side from the start, and was rewarded for that by opening the scoring in the 17th minute through Portugal's Rafael Leao, who received the ball with a beautiful through pass from Spaniard Ibrahim Dias, so he skillfully shot it over goalkeeper Alex Merritt.
Milan did not wait long to consolidate its lead with a second goal, which went to Dias, who received the ball from a cross by the Algerian Ismail bin Nasser, so he deceived the defense with skill before firing it into the net (25).
The result remained the same until the beginning of the second half, when Liao dealt the final blow to the hosts with his second personal goal in the match and the third for his team, after a solo effort on the left side, which he finished with a powerful shot from a difficult angle (59), raising his tally to 10 goals in the league this season.
Milan continued its offensive display and added a beautiful fourth goal after a wonderful individual effort by Belgian substitute Alexis Salimakers (67), dealing the final blow to the southern team, which was undoubtedly affected by the absence of its Nigerian scorer Victor Osimhen from injury.
Like Milan, Lazio benefited from the fall of Inter to consolidate its second position, by defeating its host Monza 2-0.
Coach Maurizio Sarri's team took full advantage of the opportunity, thanks to the goal of Spaniard Pedro Rodrigues with a ground kick from inside the area (13), and Serbian Sergey Milinkovic Savic with a beautiful free kick (56).
Milinkovic-Savic, who scored his goal since January, the fifty-sixth in Lazio colors, which made him the best foreign scorer in the history of the capital club against German Miroslav Klose and North Macedonian Goran Pandev, said that it is "three huge points... We saw Inter fail to win again." Let's hope that Milan also fails so that we can stay in second place for a longer period."
And he admitted that, "Several months have passed and I am not playing as I would like. It was a difficult period for me, but I do everything I have to get better, and today I finally managed to score a goal."
And by maintaining his unbeaten record in the league for the sixth consecutive stage in a series during which he achieved five victories, including the victory over Napoli away from home (1-0) and his arch-neighbor Rome (1-0 also), Lazio raised its tally to 55 points in second place, by 5. Points for Inter, who fell to fourth place.
On the other hand, Montsa's balance froze at 34 points in thirteenth place, after the newcomer to the League of Lights received his eleventh defeat.
Similar to Lazio, its arch-neighbor, Roma, benefited from the fall of Inter and regained its balance after losing the derby match before the international matches window, by defeating its injured guest, Sampdoria, 3-0.
Roma condemns the victory to the Dutchman Georginho Wijnaldum, who scored the first goal with a header after a cross from Serbian Nemanja Matic (57), then caused the penalty kick from which the second goal came through Argentine Paulo Dybala (88), before Stephen El Shaarawy added the third in stoppage time. (4 + 90) From the meeting that the guests completed with ten players after the expulsion of Colombian Jeson Murillo with a second warning (52).
Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho's team raised its tally to 50 points, in fifth place, on goal difference from Inter.
Bologna continued its positive results this season by beating its host Udinese 3-0, the first of which was a wonderful shot from outside the area by Austrian Stefan Bosch after less than 3 minutes had passed, raising his score to 40 points in eighth place, two points behind his opponent, who fell to tenth place.
In a match between two teams struggling to get away from the relegation zone, Spezia tied with its guest Salernitana 1-1, raising the first to 25 points in the seventeenth place and the second to 28 in the fourteenth place.

A noticeable increase in the frequency of attacks by the occupation and settlers in Bethlehem

Field reports monitored an increase in the frequency of Israeli racist attacks carried out by the occupation army and its settlers in the countryside of Bethlehem Governorate.

A large number of attacks have been recorded in recent days, during which, especially in the town of Al-Khader, south of Bethlehem, hundreds of olive and vine trees were destroyed from lands belonging to citizens of the town.

Activist against the wall and settlements , Ahmed Salah, told Al-Quds.com, "Six days ago, settlers uprooted 250 olive trees and stole about 150 grape seedlings planted by Youssef Abd Musa on his land, known as the Abu Bakeer Valley site, near the established Eliezer settlement." According to field reports, the most important thing the settlers are planning from the Nicodem settlement, which is established east of Bethlehem, is the seizure of a mountainous hill located in the eastern desert of Bethlehem.

Hassan Brijieh, director of the Anti-Occupation and Settlement Committee in Bethlehem, said that this hill is estimated at an area of 800 dunums and extends to the banks of the Dead Sea. It is owned by members of the Al-Zawahra family and is located near the village of Jub Al-Dhib, about 20 kilometers from the city of Bethlehem.

The editor, Hamid Abdullah, narrates the suffering and patience of the prisoners during the month of Ramadan

After he spent the 12th of Ramadan away from his family in the darkness of Israeli prisons , the feelings of the editor, Hamed Faisal Abdullah, did not change. He was living for the first time the rituals and days of the holy month of Ramadan free, among his family and loved ones. He still felt sadness and pain whenever he heard the sound of the Maghrib call to prayer announcing the breaking of the fast.

He says: "Since my liberation, I have not lived the atmosphere of Ramadan as I should. Sadness and pain accompany me, because my soul is still with my comrades in prisons, and in light of the absence and loss of my mother, who wished to see me in her arms, and rejoice in my presence beside her on all occasions, especially in the month of Ramadan that I spent." Behind bars amid oppression and suffering.

He added, "These days, I remember my mother who was waiting for me and counting the minutes and days to hug me, after she spent many years at the prison gates patiently and steadfastly preparing to receive me and my joy."

And he continues: "The shock and great tragedy was when my mother died during my arrest, after she defied all odds to visit me, which she considered a feast day, but she left, so I cried when she was released because of her absence, and in Ramadan I miss my parents, and there is no taste of joy and happiness, I cry and grieve because I miss her food that I love." And no one will ever replace me."

34 years ago, Hamid saw the light in Jenin . He received his education until he finished high school, but the occupation cut him off by arresting him for his role and participation in his resistance since the outbreak of the Al-Aqsa Intifada. The contents of the house, they arrested me and transferred me to the investigation center of Al-Jalama prison, and there the harsh investigation journey began.

And he continues: "My family lived through all the forms of suffering during my trial period, amid extension and postponement until the arbitrary verdict was issued, and I moved between all prisons and shared with my fellow prisoners stations of suffering, oppression and oppression, and paintings of challenge, steadfastness and heroism, especially with regard to transforming prisons into academies and universities."

Hamed still remembers the atmosphere of Ramadan in prisons, and says: "The prisoners were waiting for the blessed month hotter than embers throughout the year due to its religious specificity, and their keenness to approach the Lord of the Worlds with worship, and among our steps is raising our demands to the prison administration to improve meals, and to facilitate procedures for families to visit their children and reduce inspection During the religious rituals of Ramadan, but the administration was deliberately mistreating and abusing us to deprive us of the joy of Ramadan.

Editor Hamid tells that the administration was deliberately providing bad food to the prisoners, forcing them to rely on themselves to buy their needs from the cantina, especially in the month of Ramadan. And vegetables, flowers, potatoes and bananas, and the prisoners buy meat and chicken, all of which are expensive.”

And he adds: "During the month of Ramadan, a group of prisoners volunteered to supervise the preparation of meals and the Ramadan table throughout the month. Despite the lack of capabilities, the chefs of the prisoners were masterful in preparing meals of maqlouba, mansaf, rice, milk and others, in addition to some salads, lentils and vegetables. The prisoners also prepared sweets with capabilities." Limited items such as "Balouza", "Awamah" and "Kunafa", which tasted good.

The editor, Hamid, remembers that the prisoners used to spend their days during Ramadan organizing religious and cultural circles, praying, and memorizing the Qur’an until the time for breaking the fast.

He adds, "After the university Maghrib prayer, religious lessons are held, then circles of remembrance and memorization of the Qur'an, and then the cultural and entertainment sessions, which include competitions during which prizes are distributed to the prisoners."

As for the pre-dawn meal, the editor, Hamed, says that it used to start an hour before dawn, when the prisoners spend the night and recite the Holy Qur’an until the start of the pre-dawn meal. He adds: “Despite our joy in the holy month, the prison administration was deliberately creating problems and provoking the prisoners by storming the sections.” And the rooms, oppressing and abusing them, especially at night hours to make them miserable and to deprive them of religious rituals.

And he continues: "Every moment I remember these scenes and stories that we lived in the prisons of the occupation, which did not subdue our resolve, so we were brothers and cooperators in all issues and situations, and today I feel pain and oppression because there are still prisoners, and because of the current conditions in which they live in front of the injustice of the occupation."

He continues, "Although prison was a very difficult experience in my life, I completed my studies at the Hebrew University, majoring in political science, and completed a year until the occupation prevented me from completing my university career, but the prisoners turned prisons into academies despite the occupation's will."

Hamed lives in freedom, but he considers it an incomplete freedom as long as there are prisons, and he says: "I am very happy to be with my family in Ramadan, but in every sitting at the table I see pictures of the suffering and patience of my fellow prisoners, and pictures of my mother, so my pain increases, but I cling to hope and supplication."

And he adds, "Prisoners, especially in Ramadan, die in prison a thousand times a day, due to torture, harassment, continuous campaigns, deprivation of their rights and gains, and the absence of their families from them. Therefore, the most beautiful gift for our prisoners in Ramadan or on holidays is their freedom, breaking their chains, and saying goodbye to their families."

Saudi Arabia and the UAE lead a coordinated cut in oil production starting in May

On Sunday, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates led a coordinated reduction in daily oil production in a number of countries in the Middle East, in a move that was considered a "precautionary measure" to achieve "stability and balance" in the crude markets.

And Saudi Arabia, the Emirates and Kuwait decided in a coordinated manner to reduce their daily production by a total of 772 thousand barrels per day, starting from next May until the end of this year, according to what was reported by the official news agencies in the three Gulf countries.

Iraq followed the example of the three countries minutes later, while Algeria announced a "voluntary" cut of 48,000 barrels per day in the same time frame.

The three countries stated that this reduction is in addition to the reduction announced by the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries and its partners (OPEC Plus alliance) in October 2022, which requires a reduction of two million barrels per day until the end of 2023.

And the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) quoted an official source in the Ministry of Energy as saying, “The Kingdom will implement a voluntary reduction in its crude oil production, amounting to 500,000 barrels per day, starting from May until the end of 2023.”

The official stated that the Saudi decision came "in coordination with a number of countries participating in the Declaration of Cooperation, from OPEC members and from outside," considering that the step is "a precautionary measure aimed at supporting the stability of oil markets."

In turn, the Emirates News Agency (WAM) quoted Suhail Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, as saying, "The United Arab Emirates will voluntarily reduce its oil production by 144,000 barrels per day" in the same period.

He pointed out that the step is a "precautionary measure taken to achieve balance in the oil market."

For its part, Kuwait announced a "voluntary cut of 128,000 barrels per day."

In Moscow, the Russian Deputy Prime Minister in charge of energy, Alexander Novak, announced on Sunday that Russia will extend the reduction of its crude oil production by 500,000 barrels per day until the end of 2023.

The cut, the largest since the height of the Covid pandemic in 2020, comes despite concerns that it could lead to an increase in inflation and prompt central banks to raise interest rates further.
