Ben Gvir confirms that the "National Guard" is tasked with confronting the Palestinians inside

The so-called Israeli Minister of National Security , Itamar Ben Gvir , confirmed that his plan to establish the "National Guard" aims to prevent a recurrence of the scenario of what happened during the "Guardian of the Walls / Sword of Jerusalem " in May 2021.

Ben Gvir said in an interview with the Hebrew newspaper, Israel Hayom, on Monday, that more than 700 days have passed since the “guard of the walls,” and there is still no “national guard” dealing with any similar events.

He pointed out that the establishment of this force will not take much time, noting that he will seek to run it as soon as possible.

He renewed his rejection of the criticism directed at the formation of this force, which some described as a private "militia" that will implement Ben Gvir's orders against the Palestinians of the interior .
