A noticeable increase in the frequency of attacks by the occupation and settlers in Bethlehem
Field reports monitored an increase in the frequency of Israeli racist attacks carried out by the occupation army and its settlers in the countryside of Bethlehem Governorate.
A large number of attacks have been recorded in recent days, during which, especially in the town of Al-Khader, south of Bethlehem, hundreds of olive and vine trees were destroyed from lands belonging to citizens of the town.
Activist against the wall and settlements , Ahmed Salah, told Al-Quds.com, "Six days ago, settlers uprooted 250 olive trees and stole about 150 grape seedlings planted by Youssef Abd Musa on his land, known as the Abu Bakeer Valley site, near the established Eliezer settlement." On the lands of the citizens south of the town.
Salah added: "This is not the first time that citizens' lands have been targeted in this targeted location, as attacks often take place under the noses and eyes of the occupation army."
He continued, "The settler groups are not satisfied with these attacks, but rather they fence other lands belonging to other citizens, plant trees in them, and erect iron towers whose purpose is known only to form a bridge to control hundreds of dunums."
He pointed out that another group of settlers uprooted about 45 olive trees from the land of citizen Issa al-Sheikh, located in the site of Batn al-Maasi, east of the town, which he planted several days ago.
Salah says: "The Palestinian citizen plants and the settler, along with the occupation army, uproots, and this is the essence of the conflict. We build and plant while they demolish and displace |?
Yesterday, another number of settlers uprooted 20 olive trees from the land of citizen Ibrahim Al-Abyat in the Khalayel Al-Louz area, south of Bethlehem, at a time when settler attacks coincide with the people of Kisan village, which is about 28 kilometers east of Bethlehem. Citizens' homes with stones and sticks.
According to field reports, the most important thing the settlers are planning from the Nicodem settlement, which is established east of Bethlehem, is the seizure of a mountainous hill located in the eastern desert of Bethlehem.
Hassan Brijieh, director of the Anti-Occupation and Settlement Committee in Bethlehem, said that this hill is estimated at an area of 800 dunums and extends to the banks of the Dead Sea. It is owned by members of the Al-Zawahra family and is located near the village of Jub Al-Dhib, about 20 kilometers from the city of Bethlehem.
The settlers are trying to control this area in order to cut off the communities from one another.
