The "Statistics" stated in a report issued today, Wednesday, that the activities of water supply, sanitation, waste management and treatment recorded a decrease of 11.37%, the relative importance of which constitutes 1.84% of the total industry activities.

Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply activities also recorded a decrease of 6.79%, the relative importance of which is 7.38% of the total industry activities.

Manufacturing activities recorded a decrease of 5.33% during February 2023 compared to the previous month, the relative importance of which constitutes 87.89% of the total industry activities.

As for the sub-activities, which have a significant relative impact on the overall index, some manufacturing activities recorded a decrease during the month of February, compared to the previous month, the most important of which are: the manufacture of other non-metallic mineral products, the manufacture of formed metal products, except for machinery and equipment, and the manufacture of products food industry, furniture industry, paper and paper products industry, chemicals and chemical products industry, printing activity and reproduction of recorded media.

On the other hand, the industrial production index recorded an increase in some manufacturing activities, the most important of which are the manufacture of basic pharmaceutical products and their preparations, the manufacture of tobacco products, the beverage industry, the clothing industry, the wood and wood products industry, and the textile industry.

Mining and quarrying activities decreased by 0.39%, with a relative importance of 2.89% of the total industry activities.
