CAF Champions League: An excellent outcome for Raja and Zamalek, deposited with an exciting victory over Al-Merreikh
Moroccan Raja Athletic collected the largest score in the group stage of the African Champions League for football, after its victory on Friday over its guest Simba Tanzanian 3-1, while Egyptian Zamalek ended its participation with an exciting victory over Al-Merikh of Sudan 4-3.
At Mohammed V Stadium in Casablanca, Raja achieved its fifth victory in six matches, and repeated its victory over Simba 3-1.
The Oval team finished the group stage with 16 points in the leadership of the third group, which is the most points harvested among the qualifiers to the quarter-finals. At the bottom of the ranking by two points.

The meeting was considered a foregone conclusion for the two teams that called for competitions early, as Zamalek raised its tally to 7 points in third place, while Al-Merreikh languished at the bottom of the standings with 5 points.
Saturday, Tunisia's Esperance will meet its guest and runner-up, Al-Shabab Al-Athlete, Belouizdad, Algeria, at Hammadi Al-Aqrabi Stadium, where they will fight for the top spot in the group.
