The teachers' movement confirms the continuation of the strike and threatens to organize a sit-in

The Unified Teachers Movement confirmed, this Saturday morning, the continuation of the strike and protest activities, warning against organizing a sit-in with the overnight stay in Ramallah .

In a press release, the movement confirmed the continuation of the previously announced activities without interruption or change, through the strike in its current form (a strike from the morning queue with proof of presence "fingerprint / signature" and leaving at any time the teacher wants) for all stages, on top of which is the Tawjihi.

The movement also stressed the boycott of monitoring the employment test in all governorates, the boycott of high school exams (monitoring and correction), and the boycott of office and administrative work, courses and books issued by the Ministry of Education and its directorates.

The teachers' movement warned the government against reaching a decision in the coming days to sit-in in Ramallah with the overnight stay, and to set up a sit-in tent for that purpose.

The movement stressed the unity of teachers behind it, stressing the inability to split teachers on organizational and partisan grounds, indicating that the strike in all governorates has not weakened.

On the other hand, the teachers’ movement denied the existence of a page bearing the name “Unified Parents Council” at all, but it appeared in an emergency tonight, by changing the name of an old page to this name; In order to be used for an end in the hearts of loyalists to the government, according to the statement.

The movement called on parents not to send their children to schools, and students not to go if they were asked to do so. Because the teachers have not taken away their rights, and they have not yet fulfilled their demands, as the teachers will have a say when that happens.

The movement denied what is being circulated on the Internet and the pages of schools and directorates, and the messages that teachers receive regarding attendance, activities and solutions, as nothing new has been achieved, and that the speech of government spokesman Ibrahim Melhem was nothing but a repeat of the speech of Prime Minister Dr. Muhammad Shtayyeh, about two weeks ago.

Al-Hirak said: "Let parents know that what was implemented from the agreement for teachers does not exceed 90 shekels on the salary slip, as the rest of the fair demands represented in: the Democratic Syndicate, and the full salary were ignored with scheduling dues within a known time frame with a pledge not to prejudice the salary in the future." , the cost of living allowance, the professionalization of education, fixing the years of contracts from 2016 until now, fixing the risk premium for Jerusalem teachers, loosening the lowest grade bond, and the unfair D1 and D2 grades against teachers.

And the movement continued: Therefore, we will not be regular until the fulfillment of our just demands, on top of which is the Democratic Syndicate.
