The prisoner, Walid Daqqa, was transferred to an Israeli hospital in a critical condition
Prisoner Walid Daqqa , who suffers from spinal cord cancer and has been detained for 38 years, has recently suffered successive and serious relapses, which prompted his transfer to Barzilai Hospital in Ashkelon, in a serious condition.
In a statement, the Prisoners' Club held the occupation prison administration fully responsible for the fate and life of the prisoner, Daqqa.
According to his wife, Sana Salama, who was able today to see the details of his health condition from the doctor supervising his condition, without allowing her to visit him, she confirmed that he began suffering from acute pneumonia, acute renal insufficiency, and a drop in blood levels, in addition to a number of other symptoms. He has recently suffered serious health problems, and he is being held in a private room due to the seriousness of his health.
The Captive Club added that the prisoner, Daqqa, is subjected to a continuous crime by the Ashkelon prison administration, by delaying his transfer to the hospital, which constitutes one of the most prominent tools for the crime of medical negligence (slow killing).
The Captive Club continued, that his fellow prisoners in (Ashkelon) prison had to carry out protests to put pressure on the administration, until he was transferred last night.
