100,000 perform the first Friday prayer of Ramadan at Al-Aqsa Mosque
About 100,000 performed the first Friday prayers of the holy month of Ramadan at Al-Aqsa Mosque , according to the Islamic Endowments Department in Jerusalem.
Local sources said that thousands of our people from Jerusalem, the 48 territories, and various governorates of the West Bank, flocked since the early morning hours to perform the first Friday prayers of Ramadan in the Al-Aqsa Mosque, despite the restrictions imposed by the Israeli occupation forces.
This morning, the occupation forces prevented dozens of our people from entering Jerusalem through the Qalandiya military checkpoint, to perform the first Friday prayers of Ramadan at Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The occupation police also closed the intersections of streets and main roads with iron barriers, and deployed about 200 additional personnel in the streets and alleys of the Old City, and impeded the arrival of worshipers to Al-Aqsa Mosque, and launched a drone in its airspace, while its members climbed the roofs of buildings adjacent to the mosque.
Also, the occupation forces assaulted the family of Al-Maqdisi, Mohammed Al-Mazrawi, from Al-Issawiya town, while they were on their way to Al-Aqsa Mosque to perform Friday prayers.
