The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said on Monday that the continuation and deepening of the occupation's aggression against our people will not resolve the conflict or achieve peace, as the Israeli government continues to escalate its aggression against our people, whether in the Gaza Strip or the West Bank, including Jerusalem, and its pillars boast of their incitement to continue the crimes of genocide, displacement, settlement and annexation, by expanding and deepening the aggression in the northern West Bank, and preventing 40,000 citizens from returning to their homes in their camps after they were displaced from them by force of arms.

She added that this comes in the context of an attempt to liquidate the refugee issue on the path to liquidating the Palestinian issue, and to undermine any opportunity to embody the Palestinian state on the ground.

The Ministry considered that the international community's coexistence with the occupation's aggression against our people amounts to complicity, and encourages the Israeli government to persist in implementing its map of interests in the occupied West Bank, which casts doubt on the credibility of countries that claim to adhere to the two-state solution, as long as they do not exert real pressure on the occupying state to stop its aggression and comply with regional and international demands calling for consolidating the calm, and engaging in a real political process that leads to ending the occupation and embodying the State of Palestine on the borders of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital.

The Ministry stressed that international and American recognition of the State of Palestine and enabling it to obtain full membership in the United Nations constitutes a real lever and a necessary prelude to resolving the conflict and achieving peace.
