Israeli Knesset member and Labor Party MK Naama Lazimi revealed that Yair Netanyahu, the son of the Prime Minister of the occupation, Benjamin Netanyahu, was "exiled abroad after his father beat the Prime Minister, thus assaulting a symbol of power." While Netanyahu's office did not comment on what Lazimi said, the Likud Party accused her in a statement of "a despicable lie." It is worth noting that Netanyahu Jr. left Israel during the height of the protests against the "judicial coup" in the spring of 2023, and has since returned once, in November of the same year.

Lazmi's revelations came during her participation in a session held by the Knesset Finance Committee on Sunday, as part of the ongoing sessions to prepare the general budget proposal for a vote in the second and third readings. During that, she touched on the stay of Netanyahu's wife, Sara, for more than two months in Miami, USA, demanding to know who is funding her stay there, how much it costs, and from which budget exactly this funding is being deducted.

According to the Hebrew website Ynet, Lazmi returned to a report published about a year ago in which it was revealed that the annual funding for Yair Netanyahu’s security amounted to two and a half million shekels, and asked: “Is this amount still being paid to finance his security, and is there an intention to continue funding his stay abroad after he was exiled following his beating of his father, thereby insulting the symbol of power?” Lazmi’s statements were met with much shock by her colleagues in the Knesset, and while they tried to clarify further, the MK responded by saying: “Absolutely. He is exiled abroad and cannot return.”

In response to Lazimi's statements, the Likud party claimed in a statement that "this is an absolute and vile lie, and the lowest point of the left's sewer. Naama Lazimi must remove her immunity and pay the price, and like anyone who repeats this lie, she will be sued and she will pay the price as well."
