The body of the head of the political bureau of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), Ismail Haniyeh, arrived in Doha today, Thursday, in preparation for his funeral to his final resting place tomorrow, Friday, with the presence of the people and the participation of Arab and Islamic leaders.

The funeral prayer for the deceased will be held after Friday prayers at Imam Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab Mosque in the Qatari capital.

Earlier today, the Iranian capital witnessed a funeral ceremony for the head of Hamas' political bureau, attended by officials and the public, the day after his assassination at his residence.

Hamas confirmed that Haniyeh was assassinated before dawn yesterday after being targeted by an Israeli airstrike.

Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei led the funeral prayer for Haniyeh's body, and a crowd of mourners gathered at Tehran University carrying pictures of the deceased and Palestinian flags.

Large crowds of Iranians participated in Haniyeh's funeral in Tehran.

A truck carrying the coffin of Haniyeh and his companion Wassim Abu Shaaban headed towards Azadi Square in the capital Tehran, accompanied by mourners who praised the resistance and raised banners calling for revenge for the assassination of Haniyeh while he was a guest in Iran. They also burned Israeli flags.
