Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu arrived in North Korea on Tuesday to attend celebrations marking the 70th anniversary of the armistice in the inter-Korean war, the Defense Ministry said in a statement.
"The Russian military delegation, headed by the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, General Sergei Shoigu, has arrived in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea," specifically in Pyongyang, adding that North Korean Defense Minister Kang Sun Nam was receiving his counterpart at the airport.
