The Hebrew Maariv newspaper reported, on Friday, that there has been a breakthrough in contacts between the competent authorities and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, to allow the Palestinians of the interior to travel directly from Israeli airports to the Kingdom, to perform the Hajj.
According to the newspaper, Riyadh may be inclined to agree to this step, after negotiations that began about a year ago.
Maher Ghanem, a member of the committee responsible for Palestinian pilgrims inside the occupied territories, told the Hebrew newspaper that the pilgrims leave for Jordan and from there travel to Saudi Arabia, pointing out that direct flights will shorten the waiting time for the next flight at Amman airport, which sometimes takes between an hour and 5 or 6 hours. .
