Bethlehem - "Jerusalem" dot com - The Housing Bank signed an agreement to provide financial support to SOS Children's Villages Palestine, in the presence of Mr. Muhammad Al-Shalaldeh, National Director of SOS Children's Villages Palestine and Mr. Osama Harzallah, Regional Director of the Housing Bank, in addition to a crowd of SOS Children's Villages family members Palestine and the Housing Bank.
The agreement aims to donate to SOS Children's Villages and contribute to sponsoring a house from SOS Children's Villages Palestine for a full year. This guarantee includes insurance for the special needs of clothes, food and supplies for the 9 children. Supporting children in SOS Children's Villages and providing donations that strengthen families and enable families to care for their children comes from the Bank's keenness to contribute effectively to Palestinian society and its responsibility towards it, which is considered one of its first interests, and its keenness to create a healthy generation of children who enjoy all their basic rights Like other children in the world.
Mr. Osama Herzallah affirmed his happiness and gratitude for this visit, pointing out that the Bank's contribution comes in order to give orphaned and disadvantaged children the opportunity to live and grow in loving families and a healthy family environment so that they grow up and become independent, giving individuals who return their favor to their homeland.
For his part, the National Director of SOS Children's Villages, Mr. Muhammad Al-Shalaldeh, expressed his pride in the existence of Palestinian national bodies concerned with the care and sponsorship of children who lack family ties. He also thanked the bank's management, especially Mr. Osama Herzallah, for his efforts in completing the home sponsorship in the SOS Children's Village, Bethlehem.
It is worth mentioning that SOS Children's Villages Palestine is a non-profit organization registered in Palestine as part of the global SOS Children's Villages, which operates in more than 136 countries and territories around the world mainly to provide alternative care services for children who have lost family care or who are at risk of losing it. This is done by providing homes within the villages where they live with a surrogate mother who takes care of them, along with brothers and sisters in a loving family atmosphere. We also work in cooperation with local communities, government agencies, and other organizations through the Family Empowerment Program to help and empower poor and vulnerable families in protecting their children, building their capacities, caring for them, providing educational supplies, health, psychological and social support, in addition to helping to establish income-generating projects for these families.
There are also many forms of care provided by the Children's Villages to enable children and youth to integrate into the Palestinian society through the community homes spread outside the borders of the Children's Villages or through reintegration into their original families with the continuous follow-up of our staff. It is noteworthy that SOS Children's Villages Palestine is the first SOS Children's Village to be opened in the Middle East in 1966.
