Hundreds of settlers storm Al-Aqsa Mosque during 'Shavuot' amid tight protection

Hundreds of extremist settlers stormed the courtyards of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem this Thursday morning, to commemorate what is called 'Shavuot' or 'The Giving of the Torah'. These incursions took place under tight security protection provided by the Israeli occupation forces, who were heavily deployed throughout the Al-Haram Al-Sharif area to secure the paths of the intruders and prevent Palestinian worshipers from obstructing them.

Field sources in Jerusalem reported that the invading groups, whose number was estimated at about 270 settlers during the morning tour, deliberately performed public Talmudic rituals in the eastern part of the mosque. The extremists also carried out provocative tours in the courtyards, which included explanations about the alleged 'Temple', amid strict restrictions imposed by the occupation police on the entry of Palestinian worshipers and checking their identities at the outer gates.

These escalating actions come as part of a series of widespread violations witnessed at Al-Aqsa Mosque over the past week, where extremist 'Temple' groups led intensive mobilization campaigns. According to Jerusalemite data, the number of settlers who desecrated the mosque during the past seven days exceeded 2772 intruders, who entered under the guise of 'tourism' and with direct protection from Israeli security and police forces.

In recent days, serious transgressions occurred inside the mosque's prayer hall and its courtyards, including organizing dance circles and group singing, in addition to raising the flags of the occupation authorities in a blatant defiance of Muslim sentiments. These provocations culminated last Thursday, coinciding with the organization of the Judaization 'Flags March' which paraded through the streets of the Old City and reached the Al-Buraq Wall area.

For their part, national and religious bodies in Jerusalem warned of the accelerating pace of Judaization practices aimed at changing the existing historical and legal status in Al-Aqsa Mosque. These bodies affirmed that the occupation is trying, through the policy of 'temporal and spatial division', to impose a new reality aimed at consolidating complete control over Islamic holy sites, calling on Palestinians to intensify their presence and steadfastness in the mosque to thwart these plans.

The occupation seeks, through these systematic incursions, to impose a new reality by force and consolidate its complete control over Islamic holy sites.
