Politico website quoted Israeli President Isaac Herzog as saying that he recommends American political leaders not to interfere in Tel Aviv's internal politics.
Herzog also directed his words to US Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, and said that he should stay away from Israel's internal politics as well.
Schumer recently directed strong criticism at Tel Aviv and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and called for organizing new elections in Israel.
