70 dead due to the fire and airstrikes of the occupation on the Gaza Strip since dawn today.

Medical sources reported that 70 citizens have been killed by the ongoing fire and airstrikes of the Israeli occupation on the Gaza Strip since the dawn of Tuesday. The martyrs were distributed across various areas of the strip, with 30 dead in the north, 20 in the center, and 20 in the south.

In the details of the airstrikes, 5 citizens, including a child, were killed as a result of the occupation's aircraft shelling a group of citizens on Fahmy Beyk Street in Gaza City. Another citizen was killed due to the occupation's aircraft bombing a house in the vicinity of Abu Iskander in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood in northern Gaza City.

In the Al-Zarqa area of the Al-Tuffah neighborhood in the northeast of the city, another citizen was martyred due to the occupation's bombing of a house. Earlier, 7 citizens were killed by the occupation's artillery shelling in the Al-Safatawi area in northern Gaza City.

Additionally, 3 citizens were killed and others were injured in the occupation's shelling of a group of citizens in the Al-Sabra neighborhood south of the city. In the central Gaza Strip, two citizens were killed when an Israeli drone targeted a tent housing displaced persons in the Al-Suwarah area west of the Al-Nuseirat camp.

Another citizen was killed and others were injured, with several missing persons still under the rubble, including women and children, due to an airstrike by the occupation's aircraft on the home of the 'Abu Zubaida' family in the Al-Bureij camp.

In the city of Deir al-Balah, a mother and her infant were killed in an airstrike by the occupation on a warehouse housing displaced persons on 'Akila Street.' Another citizen was martyred near the 'Al-Durra Stadium' in the north of the city.

In the south of the strip, 6 citizens were killed in a massacre that claimed the lives of the 'Kawari' family (parents and their three children) as a result of the occupation's bombing targeting a tent housing displaced persons opposite the Al-Qarara port northwest of Khan Younis.

Moreover, 6 citizens waiting for aid were killed by the occupation's fire south of Khan Younis. The occupation forces continue to commit crimes against the Palestinian people, ignoring international calls and orders from the International Court of Justice.

Since October 7, 2023, the genocide in Gaza has resulted in 62,819 dead and 158,629 injured, most of whom are children and women, over 9,000 missing persons, and hundreds of thousands of displaced individuals.

Famine continues to kill citizens, with 303 recorded deaths due to starvation, including 117 children, as of Tuesday.

From Jordan.. The Mayor of Barcelona doubles his support for UNRWA to 400,000 euros.

The Mayor of Barcelona, Jaume Collboni, announced from the Jordanian capital Amman the doubling of his city's financial support to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) to reach 400,000 euros. This announcement came during an emotional visit by the mayor to UNRWA warehouses in Jordan, where he witnessed firsthand thousands of tons of stacked humanitarian aid that are barred from entering the besieged Gaza Strip due to the blockade imposed by the Israeli occupation on the agency.

Mayor Collboni, who toured the UNRWA facilities alongside Spanish Ambassador Miguel de Lucas, described the humanitarian situation in Gaza as "extremely dire," especially following the official declaration of famine last week. He confirmed that Barcelona's additional contribution, which continues the support that began in 2012, will be urgently allocated to purchasing medicines and food supplies and enhancing health support for doctors and nurses in Gaza.

Collboni stated: "Barcelona joins the condemnations issued by many countries and cities around the world, and we will double our contribution to alleviate the suffering of those who have nothing to eat or drink." These statements reflect the Spanish city's commitment to assisting Palestinian refugees amid the difficult circumstances they are facing.

The mayor's visit highlighted the scale of the logistical tragedy, as UNRWA currently holds nearly 900 trucks loaded with aid in Jordan, in addition to thousands of other trucks in Egypt. These vital supplies cannot reach the territory due to the Israeli blockade imposed on UNRWA since March of last year.

Collboni clarified that more than 6,000 trucks are currently stuck and unable to deliver food and medicine to Gaza "despite the declaration of famine," emphasizing that "what is urgent and necessary now is to ensure that aid reaches more than one and a half million people in Gaza."

For his part, the Director of UNRWA Affairs in Jordan, Olaf Becker, expressed the agency's deep gratitude to the Mayor of Barcelona for his "generous and ongoing support." He confirmed that this support enhances the agency's ability to provide its vital services to Palestinian refugees, especially amid what he described as "the most severe financial crisis in the agency's history."

Becker added: "We thank the Mayor of Barcelona for his genuine concern regarding the famine in Gaza and for his visit to our warehouses in Jordan, which contain enough aid to support two million people for three months."

The Palestinian presidency warns of a "major explosion" and calls on Washington to stop the "occupation's meddling" in the West Bank.

The Palestinian presidency warned, in a statement, of the serious repercussions of the ongoing escalation by the occupation in the West Bank, indicating that incursions, arrests, and systematic acts of destruction could push matters towards a "major explosion."

The Palestinian presidency held the occupying government fully responsible for this escalation and called on the U.S. administration for urgent intervention to compel the occupation to stop its "criminal acts."

These warnings come in the wake of a series of incursions carried out by the occupation forces, during which the cities of Ramallah and Hebron and the village of al-Mughayer witnessed arrests and injuries among citizens.

The Palestinian presidency described the recent Israeli assaults as a "criminal aggressive act" targeting the Palestinian people and their land, pointing to the immense destruction inflicted on Palestinian cities and camps.

The presidency noted that the recent incursions coincided with the ongoing "genocide and starvation" war in the Gaza Strip, which exacerbates tensions in the Palestinian territories.

The presidency issued a direct appeal to the U.S. administration to take responsibility for stopping the occupation from this chaos and called on the international community to break its silence and assume its responsibilities to halt these condemned actions.

The presidency affirmed that the ultimate goal of the occupation behind this escalation is to force the Palestinian people to leave their land and displace them, emphasizing that the Palestinian people will not concede their land and sanctities.

The statement concluded with a strong warning that stability will not be achieved for one side without the other, and that "security and peace for all or no security for anyone," reflecting the gravity of the current situation.

The Opium of the People in Times of Genocide.. How Islamists Use Religion to Weaken Palestine

Marx's saying about religion as the "opium of the people" is an important starting point for understanding how religion is employed in political and social contexts. According to Marx, religion is an expression of actual misery and a protest against bitter reality, but at the same time, it can turn into a tool for control and exploitation.

In this context, we find that some Islamists exploit religion to justify their political positions, which leads to the weakening of the Palestinian cause. Instead of being a source of inspiration for resistance and liberation, religion turns into a means to justify submission and surrender.

This phenomenon is clearly evident in the positions of some religious figures who promote the idea of cooperation with the occupation or justify meetings with Israelis, under the pretext of necessity or exceptional circumstances. This trend contributes to distorting the image of religion and gives the impression that national issues can be resolved through concessions.

Moreover, these practices reflect personal or political biases, as religion is used as a tool to justify certain positions, leading to a disparity in standards between different issues. While Hamas is criticized for its relations with Iran, the Syrian-Israeli relations are justified by the same jurisprudential rules.

This contradiction in standards highlights how religion can be used as a means to justify political exploitation, weakening the position of Palestinians and strengthening the power of the occupation. Instead of being a driving force for unity and resistance, religion turns into a tool for division and distraction.

This phenomenon requires reflection from intellectuals and advocates, to explore how to reshape religious discourse to be more in harmony with national issues. Religion should be a source of strength and inspiration, not a means for division or surrender.

In the end, we must be aware of how religion is employed in the political arena, and work to redirect religious discourse to serve the Palestinian cause, not the interests of exploiters.

"Reuters" and "Associated Press" express their anger over the targeting of journalists in Gaza.

The two international news agencies expressed their outrage over the martyrdom of five journalists in an airstrike carried out by the occupying army on Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis, which resulted in the martyrdom of 20 Palestinians.

This was stated in a joint statement by the editors-in-chief of the agencies, which was directed to the Israeli Prime Minister and the Ministers of Defense and Foreign Affairs, as well as the Chief of Staff.

The government media office in Gaza announced the martyrdom of journalists Hossam Al-Masri, Mohamed Salama, Mariam Abu Daqa, Muath Abu Taha, and Ahmed Abu Aziz, noting the injury of Reuters photographer Hatem Khaled.

The statement confirmed that the journalists were performing their professional duty, and that targeting them constitutes a blatant violation of international law, as hospitals are considered protected places.

The statement indicated that the occupying army claimed responsibility for the attack, but questioned the credibility of its statements regarding not targeting journalists.

It was emphasized that investigations by the occupying army rarely yield tangible results, and the statement called for prompt and transparent investigations.

The targeting of journalists at Nasser Hospital is the second in less than a month, as six journalists were targeted last August, raising concerns about the safety of journalists in Gaza.

Since the onset of the aggression against Gaza on October 7, the death toll of journalists has risen to 246, reflecting the extent of the violations faced by those working in the media field.

Thomas Friedman: "Israel" is leading itself to suicide by attacking Gaza and tearing apart the world's Jews.

In an article, journalist Thomas Friedman pointed out that the Israeli aggression against the besieged Gaza Strip could bring Israel to the brink of political suicide. He noted that the current Israeli government is committing murders against Palestinians, threatening its standing in the world and leading to a rift in Israeli society.

Friedman expressed concern that the war is destroying relations between Israel and Jews around the world, as the Jewish community is divided between those who wish to support Israel and those who can no longer justify the actions of the Israeli government. He emphasized that this war is leading to a loss of international support for Israel.

He also referred to the Israeli airstrikes on Nasser Hospital in southern Gaza, which resulted in the deaths of 20 people, including five journalists. He explained that the Israeli army carried out the strike without a clear target, reflecting a disregard for innocent lives.

Friedman criticized the policy of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, which aims to prolong the war to remain in power, noting that this policy leads to further suffering in Gaza and increases international criticism.

He added that Netanyahu relies on the support of far-right ministers, complicating the situation in the occupied West Bank. He confirmed that Israel has destroyed Hamas as a military force, but is now pursuing lower-level leaders, resulting in more collateral damage.

Friedman also criticized the Israeli army's use of civilian evacuations in Gaza as a pretext for demolishing their homes deliberately, aiming to make their lives miserable. He considered this not just murder, but collective suicide.

He pointed out that the world is beginning to distinguish between a war fought for the survival of the Jewish state and a war fought for the political survival of Netanyahu. He affirmed that the loss of Palestinian civilian lives has become an inevitable consequence of Israeli aggression.

Friedman warned that the continuation of this situation will lead to a rift in the Jewish community worldwide, especially during Jewish holidays, when Jews will face internal conflicts over supporting Israel.

In conclusion, Friedman expressed hope that President Trump could stop this geopolitical suicide, warning that Netanyahu might deceive Trump as he deceived Putin in Ukraine.

He confirmed that the world can no longer ignore what is happening in Gaza, and there is an urgent need to find a just solution that guarantees the rights of Palestinians.

Trump wants the war in Gaza to end within two or three weeks.

Washington – Saeed Arikat

On Monday, U.S. President Donald Trump claimed that the Gaza war would reach a "decisive end" within the next two to three weeks, stating that there is a serious "diplomatic push" underway to end the conflict that has been ongoing for nearly two years.

Trump told reporters in the Oval Office: "I believe that within the next two to three weeks, there will be a good and decisive end - a decisive end," without explaining what he meant by "decisive end."

During a meeting in the Oval Office with South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol, Trump said: "They (the Israelis) are now talking about the city of Gaza - there is always talk about something," noting that "at some point, it will be settled, and I tell you it is better to settle it soon. It must be settled soon."

It is worth mentioning that Trump said last week that the only way to end the love is to confront Hamas and free the hostages, which was interpreted by all commentators as a green light for Israel to invade and reoccupy Gaza.

Trump's special envoy, Steve Witkoff, who led U.S. efforts to mediate a hostage deal, reiterated his claim that a post Trump social media post last week, announcing that the remaining hostages would not be released until Hamas is destroyed, sparked the recent movement in ceasefire negotiations. Witkoff said in the Oval Office: "We would not be anywhere other than what the president said last week, which was a statement to Hamas that it is better for them to get their act together and come to the peace table."

It was unclear what Trump based his predictions on, as Israel indicated that it was not interested in the gradual ceasefire proposal that Hamas agreed to last week, especially as the Israeli occupation army is moving forward with its plans to occupy the city of Gaza, which is expected to take at least several months, according to Israeli officials.

It is noted that Trump has often used a "two-week" timeline to predict when major developments would occur, whether domestically or internationally - from the war between Russia and Ukraine, to Iranian nuclear negotiations, to tariff talks - although this timeline has never held up. Trump has also predicted multiple times that there would be an "imminent agreement to free the hostages," but that has not materialized. The president seemed to want to keep the option open to backtrack on the ceasefire in two or three weeks, saying: "It's hard to say, they have been fighting for thousands of years. But I think we are doing a very good job."

He added: "But it must end, but people cannot forget October 7, 2023." Trump's comments come at a time when pressure has increased within Israel on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to accept a temporary ceasefire.

Hamas agreed to a proposed deal that would see the exchange of 10 Israeli detainees for Palestinian prisoners during a 60-day truce, which could be extended to a second phase if both sides agree to the terms of a permanent ceasefire.

Israeli media reports indicated that the Chief of Staff of the Israeli occupation army, Eyal Zamir, said this week that "there is a prisoner deal on the table, and we must seize it." In recent days, Knesset member Benny Gantz has called on opposition party leaders to join Netanyahu's government to accept the deal and marginalize Netanyahu's far-right partners - although other centrist opponents of Netanyahu have rejected this idea.

The Israeli security cabinet is scheduled to meet on Tuesday, although there are conflicting reports about whether it will focus on discussing the ceasefire proposal or the plan to invade the city of Gaza.

Following his prediction of the end of the war, a reporter asked the president whether the United States was engaged in diplomatic efforts to achieve this goal, to which Trump replied: "There have been... very serious diplomatic efforts." U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who was also present at the meeting, added that one condition for ending the war is for Hamas to stop leading Gaza. Rubio said: "The war has never stopped. We have always sought to find a solution. We want it to end. But it must end without Hamas."

Poll: Americans Now More Sympathetic to Palestinians than Israelis

Washington – Saeed Arikat

A recent opinion poll conducted by the University of Maryland on critical issues, the UMD CIP, showed that Americans are more sympathetic to Palestinians than to Israelis, marking a historic shift in American public opinion amid ongoing U.S. government support for the genocide being perpetrated by Israel against Palestinians in Gaza.

The poll revealed that 28% of participants sympathize more with Palestinians, while 22% said they sympathize more with Israelis, and 26% expressed equal sympathy for both sides. Additionally, 12% stated they do not sympathize with either, and 13% said they do not know.

Sympathy for Palestinians is increasing among Americans aged 18 to 34, with 37% of them indicating they sympathize more with Palestinians, while only 11% said they sympathize more with Israelis.

The results are divided by political party, with Republicans showing greater sympathy for Israelis (46%) compared to Palestinians (7%). Sympathy for Palestinians is stronger among younger Republicans, with 12% stating they are more sympathetic to Palestinians, while 24% chose Israelis.

The UMD CIP center reported that the results align with trends from other polling organizations, but its poll was the first to find greater American sympathy for Palestinians compared to Israelis. The survey was conducted between July 29 and August 7, 2025, at a time when more American media began covering the famine imposed by Israel on Gaza.

The poll found that 40% of Americans believe President Trump's policy on the Israeli-Palestinian issue is "very pro-Israel," while only 3% said it is "very pro-Palestinian," and 27% described it as "somewhat appropriate."

The UMD CIP center also found that 41% of Americans, including 67% of Democrats and 14% of Republicans, believe that Israel's actions in Gaza constitute genocide (22%) or resemble genocide (19%). Only 22% of participants stated that Israel's actions are justified under "the right to self-defense."

The majority of participants acknowledged the U.S. government's responsibility for Israeli military operations, with 61% agreeing that U.S. military, economic, and diplomatic support for Israel enables it to continue its actions in Gaza (34% strongly agree, and 27% somewhat agree).

Owen Jones: The West's escape from the destruction of Iraq paved the way for the erasure of Gaza and the extermination of its

In a new article, commentator Owen Jones highlights the Western failure to hold itself accountable for the destruction it caused in Iraq, arguing that this failure has contributed to the enabling of the crimes occurring today in Gaza. Jones explains that the West's failure to confront the consequences of its actions in Iraq has made genocide in Gaza a possibility.

Jones draws on his experience in Iraq, recalling a conversation with an angry man on Haifa Street in Baghdad, who expressed his disappointment with the American-British occupation. This man, who suffered from kidnapping and torture, represents the voice of many Iraqis who witnessed the chaos that followed the invasion.

The article reviews how the streets that witnessed atrocities in Iraq, such as Haifa Street, have become symbols of suffering. Jones recounts how journalist Ghaith Abdul-Ahad witnessed real tragedies, where civilians were shot at by occupation helicopters, resulting in the deaths of many innocents.

Jones points out that the failure to hold the West accountable for the crimes committed in Iraq has enabled the Israeli occupation to commit atrocities in Gaza. He argues that history clearly shows how the bloody path from Iraq to Gaza is a direct result of the lack of accountability.

The article cites statements from Kofi Annan, the former Secretary-General of the United Nations, who described the war on Iraq as illegal, reflecting how this war led to the deaths of hundreds of thousands of Iraqis, most of whom were civilians, at the hands of occupying forces.

Jones emphasizes that the absence of accountability for the crimes in Iraq has had dire consequences, as none of the officials have paid for their actions. He notes that the wars in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Libya ended in disasters, raising questions about how to hold those responsible for the crimes in Gaza accountable.

In conclusion, Jones calls for the necessity of holding politicians and media accountable who colluded in erasing Gaza from the map of the world. He stresses that modern history shows that if perpetrators are not held accountable, future crimes will become inevitable.

Qatar: We seek to end the war in Gaza, and Israel does not want an agreement

The spokesperson for the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Majid Al-Ansari, confirmed that the occupying state is not seeking to reach a ceasefire agreement in the besieged Gaza Strip. This came during statements made by Al-Ansari, where he indicated that Qatar continues its efforts to end the genocide being perpetrated by Tel Aviv against the Palestinians.

Al-Ansari explained that Qatar is in contact with all concerned parties, but there has been no official response from the occupation regarding the acceptance or rejection of ceasefire proposals. He noted that communication between mediators occurs daily, emphasizing the importance of international pressure on the occupation to stop the aggression.

Al-Ansari pointed out that Qatar is committed to its efforts until the end of the war and welcomes all efforts aimed at ending the conflict. He also confirmed that the location of the negotiations is not important for Qatar or Egypt, referring to the possibility of moving the talks to a new country.

In a related context, Israeli opposition leader Yair Lapid stated that Hamas's response to the mediators' proposal regarding a ceasefire includes 98 percent of what the American envoy to the Middle East proposed. Hamas had previously confirmed its acceptance of the proposal, which includes the release of Israeli prisoners in exchange for a ceasefire.

On the other hand, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ignored waiting for the occupation's response to the ceasefire proposal and approved a plan to occupy the city despite international warnings. The occupation government is also evading reaching an agreement, as it presents new conditions related to the disarmament of Palestinian factions.

Tel Aviv estimates that there are 50 Israeli prisoners in Gaza, while more than 10,800 Palestinians are held in the occupation's prisons under harsh conditions. Since the beginning of the aggression on October 7, Israeli military operations have resulted in a large number of martyrs and injuries among the Palestinians.

Orian 21: How does the French media legitimize the killing of journalists in Gaza?

A report from a French website highlighted the martyrdom of journalist Anas Al-Sharif and his colleagues, where it was expected that their martyrdom would top the headlines of French newspapers. However, instead, the news was handled in a puzzling manner, with some channels describing it as 'a bullet to the middle' instead of acknowledging the assassination.

The website questioned how the Israeli narrative continues to dominate the French media, especially after more than a year since the aggression against Gaza. It pointed out that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is subject to an international arrest warrant, raising questions about the credibility of the narrative being promoted.

The writer also criticized the French media's lack of solidarity with the journalists who were martyred, noting that more than 200 journalists have been martyred in recent years, which raises questions about the extent of Western media's concern for Arab journalists' issues.

The article discussed how Israel uses the assassination of journalists as a means to justify its aggressions, with a group formed within the Israeli military intelligence aimed at finding information that supports its narrative.

The topic of the images circulated of Anas Al-Sharif after his martyrdom was addressed, where images of him with Hamas leaders were used to tarnish his reputation, reflecting how the media can contribute to shaping public opinion.

The writer concluded that the French media faces a problem in its coverage of the martyrdom of journalists, as the Israeli narrative is treated in a way that justifies the aggressions, reflecting a negative image of Palestinians in the minds of many.

In the end, the writer asserts that Western media still adopts narratives that justify Israeli aggression, contributing to the ongoing genocide in Gaza.

High security tension.. Occupation forces, especially, storm the center of Ramallah and launch a campaign of arrests.

In a surprising escalation, an Israeli special force known as 'Mistaravim' stormed the center of Ramallah this Tuesday morning, leading to violent clashes with dozens of Palestinian youths. Witnesses reported that the special force infiltrated using civilian vehicles with Palestinian license plates and quickly spread in the area of Al-Manara Square and the surrounding commercial streets.

The operation began in the early morning hours, as the special forces surrounded several residential buildings and shops in the area. According to Palestinian security sources, the aim of the incursion was to arrest a number of youths wanted by the occupying authorities. The forces raided several homes and arrested at least three youths, amidst heavy gunfire and the use of sound bombs and tear gas.

The incursion caused panic and confusion in the city, which is considered the administrative capital of the Palestinians. Upon discovering the infiltration of the special force, dozens of Palestinian youths took to the streets, throwing stones and empty bottles at the occupying forces that had entered the area to secure the withdrawal of the special force.

The occupying forces responded by firing rubber-coated metal bullets and tear gas heavily, resulting in several youths suffering from cases of suffocation and bruises. The Palestinian Red Crescent Society reported that its teams dealt with several injuries in the field.

National and popular activities in Ramallah condemned this incursion, considering it a dangerous escalation and a blatant violation of signed agreements. They pointed out that storming the heart of Ramallah, which houses the main offices of the Palestinian Authority, carries a provocative political message aimed at undermining the authority and demonstrating absolute Israeli control over all areas of the occupied West Bank.

3 deaths due to famine and malnutrition in the past 24 hours

Medical sources in the Gaza Strip announced the death of three citizens due to famine and malnutrition, reflecting the worsening humanitarian crisis in the region. These deaths were recorded in the past 24 hours, raising the total number of famine victims to 303 dead, including 117 children.

The humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip continues to escalate, as residents suffer from a severe shortage of food and medical supplies. The blockade imposed by the occupying authorities since March 2, 2025, has led to the closure of all crossings and the prevention of aid entry, contributing to the spread of famine.

Since October 7, 2023, the occupying state has been waging a genocide against the residents of the Gaza Strip, increasing the suffering of citizens. The ongoing blockade and military assaults have made the humanitarian situation in the sector worse.

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) warned that malnutrition among children under five has significantly doubled between March and June, due to the continued blockade. These figures indicate a real crisis threatening the future of children in Gaza.

The World Health Organization confirmed that malnutrition rates in Gaza have reached alarming levels, with about one in five children under five suffering from acute malnutrition. This situation requires urgent intervention to save lives.

The conditions in the Gaza Strip require the international community to take immediate action to provide the necessary humanitarian aid. The imposed blockade must end to alleviate the suffering of the population facing famine and malnutrition.

An American from the streets of Istanbul: Solidarity with Palestine is the greatest test of humanity.

American activist Cassandra McLaughlin began a silent protest in the Kadıköy area of Istanbul, where she held a sign that read: 'God will hold us accountable, not governments, for Gaza.' This step aims to highlight the suffering of Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip.

McLaughlin, who is 28 years old, explained that she felt disturbed by merely watching as famine and Israeli starvation policies continued in Gaza. Therefore, she decided to take a symbolic step to convey the voices and suffering of Palestinians to the world.

During her stay in London, McLaughlin participated in several demonstrations in solidarity with Palestine, but she felt it was also necessary to act individually. She emphasized that individual actions are as important as mass demonstrations.

McLaughlin spoke about the genocide being committed by the occupying state in Gaza since October 7, 2023, which has resulted in 62,744 martyrs and 158,259 injured, most of whom are children and women. She also noted that famine has killed 300 Palestinians, including 117 children.

She chose the Kadıköy area because it is filled with drawings and images that express the suffering of Palestine. Her initiative received significant support from the residents, with some expressing their support and raising slogans like 'Freedom for Palestine.'

McLaughlin pointed out that the protest was characterized by silence, as she did not utter a single word but simply held her sign, placing mirrors in front of and behind her to encourage people to reflect on themselves. Many were surprised to see a foreign activist doing this.

The activist affirmed that solidarity with the Palestinian people is a major human test, and the way we pay attention to this issue will determine our future. She stressed the importance of discussing Palestine at home and with friends.

McLaughlin called for the importance of boycott campaigns, noting that the economic issue is very strategic. She affirmed that the freedom of Palestine is the freedom of the entire world, and she will continue her individual protests in Turkey.

McLaughlin intends to participate in the 'Voice for Gaza' event that will be organized through social media, emphasizing the importance of continuing solidarity with Palestinians around the world.

Crisis of confidence in Israel regarding the feasibility of the Gaza occupation plan.

Questions are increasing in Israel regarding the readiness of the occupation army to implement the plan to occupy the city of Gaza, as data reveals a decline in human and logistical readiness. According to estimates from the occupation army, the compliance rate among reserve forces does not exceed 50-70%, with rising rates of service evasion driven by 'conscience'.

Media reports indicate that there are recurring malfunctions in military vehicles, in addition to concerns about a decline in weapon stockpiles due to European restrictions and the German ban on arms shipments. The newspaper 'Haaretz' revealed that a large number of armored military vehicles are out of service, raising concerns about the army's ability to carry out military operations.

On the political level, there is a clear disparity between the government and the army regarding the feasibility of the operation and its objectives. The military level is pushing for acceptance of a partial prisoner exchange deal, while Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu clings to a hardline rhetoric, reflecting a deep crisis of confidence within Israel.

Military analyst Amos Harel pointed out that there are military reports revealing malfunctions in several armored vehicles, alongside an increase in the percentage of those refusing service among reserve forces, raising questions about the army's ability to conduct a wide and complex ground operation.

Data from the 'There Are Limits' movement shows that the year 2025 recorded the highest level of military service refusal in the history of the occupation army, with about 300 soldiers turning to the movement for help after refusing to join reserve service.

Although the compliance rate for calling up reserve forces after October 7, 2023, reached about 160% thanks to the volunteering of several soldiers, it has dropped this year to 50% due to the ongoing war and the delay in the prisoner exchange deal.

The Israeli army avoids directly prosecuting those who refuse 'on moral grounds' and prefers to classify them as 'deserters', reflecting an attempt by the military institution to conceal the challenges it faces in maintaining the cohesion of reserve forces.

"Education": 18,489 students have been martyred and 232 schools and universities have been completely destroyed since the beginning of the aggression.

The Ministry of Education and Higher Education announced that the Israeli aggression that began on October 7 against the Gaza Strip and the West Bank has resulted in the martyrdom of 18,489 students and the injury of 28,854 others. These figures reflect the magnitude of the humanitarian disaster affecting educational institutions in Palestine.

According to the statement, the number of students who were martyred in the Gaza Strip exceeded 18,346, while 143 students were martyred in the West Bank, highlighting the significant gap in the impact of the aggression on different Palestinian areas.

The statement also indicated that 970 teachers and administrative staff were martyred and 4,533 were injured, reflecting the significant impact of the aggression on the educational staff, with more than 199 arrested in the West Bank.

The destruction of schools has had a devastating effect on the educational process, as 160 government schools were completely destroyed in the Gaza Strip, in addition to 63 university buildings. Furthermore, 118 government schools and 93 schools belonging to UNRWA were subjected to bombing and vandalism.

In the West Bank, 152 schools were vandalized and 8 universities and colleges faced repeated incursions, leading to universities relying on electronic attendance due to the current circumstances.

The ministry confirmed that the aggression has not only affected buildings but has also led to the removal of 25 schools from the educational registry, meaning a loss of education for a large number of students.

This situation calls for a concerted effort from local and international communities to protect education in Palestine and ensure the rights of students and teachers to have a safe educational environment.

Hebrew media publishes the terms of the security agreement with Syria.. and Al-Shara: "According to the 1974 ceasefire

In a new step towards stabilizing the situation in Syria, media reports have indicated that the occupying state and Syria are nearing the signing of a new security agreement mediated by the United States. This agreement aims to enhance security in Syria after years of civil war, reduce threats on Syria's northern borders, and distance Damascus from the Iranian axis.

The terms of the agreement include preventing Turkey from rebuilding the Syrian army, which the occupying state considers strategically important. The agreement also prohibits the deployment of strategic weapons within Syrian territory, including missiles and air defense systems. These terms reflect the security concerns of the occupying state regarding the strengthening of Syrian military capabilities.

Among the sensitive issues addressed in the agreement is the establishment of a humanitarian corridor to Mount Druze in Sweida, amid current security tensions. The agreement also includes disarmament in the Syrian Golan Heights, reflecting the parties' desire to achieve some form of stability in the region.

Syrian President Ahmad al-Shara confirmed that there is advanced discussion regarding the security agreement, noting that it is based on the 1974 ceasefire line. He explained that he would not hesitate to make any decision that serves the interests of Syria and the region, despite not seeing the current circumstances as sufficient for concluding a peace agreement with the occupying state.

Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shaybani accused the Israeli occupation of violating the 1974 separation of forces agreement, pointing to the establishment of intelligence centers and military points within prohibited areas. This statement reflects the ongoing tensions between the two sides and indicates that Damascus still clings to its rights in the face of occupation.

At the same time, the Syrian Foreign Ministry denied the circulating news about the anticipated signing of a security agreement on September 25, confirming that the agreement will be limited to the security aspect to stop tensions between the two countries. This denial reflects the uncertainty surrounding the negotiation process.

Syrian sources confirmed that Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shaybani met with the Israeli Minister of Strategic Affairs in Paris to discuss security arrangements in southern Syria, including de-escalation and non-interference in Syrian internal affairs. These meetings reflect joint efforts to achieve stability in the region.

Developments continue in this context, as the question remains about the success of these negotiations in achieving security and stability in Syria, and whether they will lead to a real change in relations between Syria and the occupying state.

Explosive robots lead the destruction of what remains of Gaza.

The Israeli occupation forces have intensified their use of explosive robots to destroy residential neighborhoods in the Gaza Strip, as they seek to eliminate what remains of the means of life for more than two million Palestinians. These robots leave massive destruction in the areas they invade, causing the bodies of those caught within their explosive range, which extends for hundreds of meters, to be shattered.

In recent months, the occupation army has detonated dozens of robots to expedite the complete surveying of residential neighborhoods and turn them to ash. An explosives engineering officer defines the robots as American-made "M113" personnel carriers, which the occupation army decommissioned after its aggression against Gaza in the summer of 2014.

The Israeli army has converted these carriers into explosive devices, placing tons of explosives inside the carrier's structure, then moving them towards residential areas to detonate remotely. The weight of the explosives carried by the carrier is estimated to be between 3 and 4 tons, making it capable of demolishing large sections of buildings.

The occupation uses these robots in conjunction with other military operations, where the timing of the explosion of explosive barrels among residential buildings is determined, leading to the destruction of the largest possible areas of neighborhoods without posing a danger to the lives of its soldiers.

The use of explosive robots began during the ongoing war on Gaza since October 2024, where the occupation implemented the "Generals' Plan" in the northern sector. The spokesperson for the Civil Defense in Gaza described the impact of these robots as terrifying, given the massive destruction they leave in residential areas.

The occupation army used the robots in its ground operation in the Shujaiya neighborhood east of Gaza, where vast neighborhoods were destroyed. The spokesperson confirmed that the occupation is currently using robots in its aggression on the Zaitoun neighborhood, where between 3 and 4 robots are detonated daily.

The robots cause total destruction in the areas where they explode, with a radius of 100 meters, and leave partial damage in buildings located within a radius of 300 meters. They also turn buildings to ash and burn a layer of soil exceeding 3 centimeters in thickness.

The Civil Defense crews recorded the intensive detonation of robots by the occupation army, which turned thousands of residential buildings into rubble. The director of ambulance services in the medical services described the scale of killing and destruction left by those robots as terrifying, as it forced people to flee en masse from their areas.

Many observers believe that the occupation army is using the robots to carry out the largest systematic destruction operation across all governorates of the Gaza Strip, reflecting the scale of the aggression it is waging against the Palestinians.

Injury of several citizens as a result of the occupation's assault on them in Idhna, west of Hebron.

On the morning of Tuesday, August 26, 2025, a number of Palestinian citizens were assaulted by Israeli occupation forces in the town of Idna, west of Hebron. The incident occurred near the main entrance to the town, where the occupation forces fired sound bombs at the citizens.

Eyewitnesses reported that the assault came without any justification, as a number of citizens had gathered in the area, leading the occupation forces to use excessive force against them. This assault resulted in several citizens sustaining bruises and injuries.

This incident comes in the context of ongoing assaults and violations faced by Palestinians in various areas, as the occupation forces seek to impose control and dominance over Palestinian lands.

The repeated assaults on citizens in Idna and other areas reflect the occupation's policy of suppressing any Palestinian movements or gatherings, which exacerbates the suffering of the Palestinian people and heightens tensions in the region.

The town of Idna records many similar incidents, where citizens are periodically assaulted, necessitating international action to put an end to these violations and protect the rights of Palestinians.

Dead and injured in the occupation's shelling of several areas in the Gaza Strip.

Several citizens have been martyred and injured since the dawn of today, Tuesday, due to the bombing by the occupying warplanes that targeted various areas of the Gaza Strip. Medical sources reported an increase in the number of martyrs and injuries as a result of the intense shelling.

The medical sources indicated that the occupation's bombardment hit two houses in the Beach Camp and Al-Jalaa Street in Gaza City, resulting in the martyrdom of citizens and injuries to others. These assaults come in the context of the ongoing escalation of the occupation against civilians in the sector.

The sources also added that a number of martyrs have fallen, and others have been injured, due to the targeting of the occupation army on Al-Basateen Street in the Zeitoun neighborhood southeast of Gaza City, where the occupation continues to demolish several homes in that area.

Reports indicated that one martyr has fallen and others have been injured in the occupation's bombing of a house in Al-Bureij Camp in the central sector, in addition to the martyrdom of another citizen by gunfire in the Netzarim axis.

In a related context, the occupation's aircraft launched an airstrike around the Palestine Technical College north of Deir al-Balah, and continues to open fire north of Khan Younis city in the southern sector, exacerbating the suffering of the citizens.

Since the dawn of today, 20 citizens have been martyred in a series of airstrikes and brutal massacres committed by the occupation in the Gaza Strip, according to medical sources. This toll comes at a time when the sector is suffering from a severe humanitarian crisis.

Since October 7, 2023, the occupation forces have launched an aggression against the Gaza Strip, resulting in the martyrdom of 62,744 citizens, the majority of whom are children and women, and the injury of 158,259 others, in a preliminary count.

Rescue and ambulance teams continue to face significant difficulties in reaching victims under the rubble and on the roads, further worsening the humanitarian situation in the besieged sector.

10 billion held back and an economy suffocating: Is collapse imminent?

Dr. Said Sabri

Dr. Said Sabri

Opinion Writer

The Palestinian economy stands before an unprecedented crisis, where financial and political crises intertwine in a scene that threatens a complete collapse. With withheld clearance funds, a sharp decline in international aid, and accumulated debts, the Palestinian Authority finds itself in direct confrontation with a worsening financial deficit, amid fundamental questions about the future of the national economy.

For a long time, clearance funds – the taxes collected by Israel on behalf of the Authority – have been the main source of financing for current expenditures, covering about 70% of public revenues. However, these vital funds have turned into a tool of pressure in the hands of the occupation, withheld or significantly deducted unilaterally for political reasons. According to the Ministry of Finance, the total amount deducted since 2012 until early 2025 is approximately 20.6 billion shekels, or about 5.6 billion dollars, while estimates indicate that the amounts currently withheld by Israel reach about 10 billion shekels, a huge figure that is more than three times the monthly local revenues of the Authority. This reality places the Authority in a continuous financial chokehold and confirms that clearance funds are no longer a stable resource, but rather a political weapon used to financially extort the Palestinians.

Concurrently, international aid has sharply declined. While it peaked in 2008 at over 1.3 billion dollars, it has fallen in recent years to less than 500 million dollars, and in some years dropped to below 300 million. More importantly, the pattern of support has also changed, from direct transfers to the budget to funding scattered projects through international institutions, depriving the government of the financial maneuvering room it needed to confront crises.

In light of this contraction in resources, the salary bill has emerged as the largest internal burden. The cost of salaries for employees, retirees, and allowances for prisoners and families of martyrs amounts to about 1.05 to 1.1 billion shekels monthly, equivalent to 272 to 300 million dollars. This figure absorbs more than half of current spending, making the Authority unable to cover it fully, leading to a policy of partial salary payments, which has negatively impacted the lives of hundreds of thousands of Palestinian families.

The equation becomes more difficult when we realize that local tax revenues do not exceed 450 million shekels monthly, which is less than 40% of the salary bill alone. This gap reveals a structural flaw in the financial system and clarifies that the Palestinian economy lacks sufficient self-financing tools to cover even basic expenses.

But the crisis does not stop there. The size of public debt – both domestic and external – has exceeded 10 billion dollars, a figure that is almost equivalent to the total annual salaries. As the deficit widened, the Authority resorted to borrowing from local banks to cover expenses, which weakened liquidity in the market and negatively affected the private sector, exacerbating the slowdown in economic growth.

The results were clear in the markets: commercial stagnation, a sharp decline in purchasing power, and a significant drop in local and foreign investments due to eroded confidence in financial stability. The citizen bears the brunt of the burden, facing incomplete salaries, high living costs, and a murky future. With the start of the school year, employees find themselves unable to pay school or university fees for their children, while their deducted and delayed salaries are insufficient to cover the essentials.

It is an illusion to believe that international support can compensate for clearance funds, or that clearance funds are sufficient to revive the economy. Aid continues to decline, and donors are no longer willing to finance a budget burdened with salaries and debts. As for clearance funds, they barely cover operational expenses and do not allow any room for investment or building a sustainable economy.

Despite this reality, the government has not announced any real emergency plan commensurate with the depth of the crisis. Relying on patchwork solutions, such as paying half salaries or repeated borrowing, simply means extending the life of the crisis rather than solving it. There is an urgent need for courageous decisions that include restructuring public spending, rationalizing salaries, and expanding the tax base by integrating the informal economy and combating tax evasion, while ensuring greater tax justice.

Resources must also be directed towards building a real productive economy, relying on sectors such as industry, agriculture, and technology, instead of continuing a model based on consumption and dependence on external sources.

In short, the crisis is no longer just financial, but existential. Exiting it requires true political will and courage to face painful realities. We must either begin serious reform now or continue on a path toward a collapse that could become a reality at any moment.

Hebrew media embarrasses Netanyahu: Leaks from occupation soldiers reveal that the bombing of Nasser Hospital was not an "accident."

The bloody attack on Nasser Hospital in the Gaza Strip has sparked a storm of controversy within Tel Aviv, following the emergence of two contradictory official narratives regarding the incident, putting the credibility of the occupying Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at stake. While Netanyahu hastened to address the world in English, describing what happened as a 'tragic incident' and offering an apology, a Hebrew media channel revealed information indicating that the attack was carried out with prior approval from the military's high command.

In his first official reaction directed abroad, following a wave of widespread international condemnation, the occupying Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu turned to the 'X' platform to post a tweet in English, expressing his deep regret for the attack, describing it as a 'tragic incident' that would be investigated, and offering his apologies for the loss of innocent lives. This narrative clearly aimed to contain international outrage and present the image that what occurred was an unintended operational error.

However, this official narrative was severely shaken after a report broadcast by Channel 14, known for its proximity to right-wing and military circles. The channel quoted occupying soldiers who participated in the operation as saying that 'the attack on Nasser Hospital was approved by the military's high command.'

This leak, if accurate, suggests that targeting the hospital was not an accidental incident, but rather a planned military operation approved at the highest levels, which completely contradicts what Netanyahu presented to the international community. This stark contradiction highlights a potential gap between the Israeli occupation's discourse directed internally and that directed externally.

The report from the Hebrew channel raised serious questions in political and media circles within the occupation regarding the government's and the army's transparency in presenting the facts related to the war. This revelation also places Netanyahu in a difficult position, as he is accused of providing inaccurate information to the international community in an attempt to avoid the legal and political repercussions of targeting a medical facility protected by international humanitarian law.

The growing international solidarity with Palestine.. the exposure of the fabricated Israeli narrative.

Dr. Kholoud Al-Obaidi: The world is currently witnessing a protest against genocide, famine, and the policies of occupation and settlement in the West Bank

Dr. Manuel Hassasian: The European Union has begun to take a more interactive approach to the Palestinian issue, and the gap between it and the United States is widening

Dr. Khaled Al-Azi: The resignation of the Dutch Foreign Minister and other ministers is of great importance in influencing European public opinion and government policies

Dr. Amjad Abu Al-Izz: There is a significant role for popular pressures in pushing Dutch officials to change their positions, which may extend to other European countries

Imad Abu Awad: What the world, particularly Europe, is witnessing in terms of solidarity movements serves the Palestinian cause and reveals the true image of Israel

Members of the Dutch government from the "New Social Contract" party recently announced their resignation from the caretaker government, just one day after the resignation of the Foreign Minister, due to the failure to impose sanctions on Israel for its ongoing aggression against the Gaza Strip. Meanwhile, solidarity movements with the Palestinian people and their just cause are growing, indicating that the world is currently witnessing a protest against the ongoing genocide and starvation of innocent civilians. The United Nations has officially declared Gaza a "famine" area, alongside escalating international protests against settlement and racist occupation policies in the West Bank.

Analysts and writers mentioned to "Y" that what has been witnessed in the Netherlands is part of a series of steps taken by many countries, particularly in Europe, to support the Palestinian cause, noting that this serves the Palestinian cause and also includes positive aspects, the most important of which is the exposure of the true image of Israel and its false and misleading narrative.

Global Protest Against Genocide and Starvation

Dr. Kholoud Al-Obaidi, a specialist in political science and international law, stated that the world is currently witnessing a protest against what is happening in the Gaza Strip, including genocide and starvation, as the United Nations has officially declared Gaza a "famine" area.

She said: "This famine is not due to natural disasters but rather to human intervention. Famine occurs while trucks carrying food supplies are on the borders of the Gaza Strip. Recently, nine ministers from the interim government in the Netherlands, led by the Foreign Minister, resigned in protest against the occupation's measures and policies in the West Bank and the construction of illegal settlements, which will ultimately lead to the end of the idea of a Palestinian state."

Al-Obaidi added: "This is one of a series of steps taken by the European continent to support the Palestinian cause. It is an important shift because Europe has always supported Israel."

She described these initiatives as "important and should be studied carefully to benefit from them and direct them to support the Palestinian cause. We must understand who the forces contributing to these protests are, what their motivations are, and how they can transform into a movement to serve the Palestinian cause."

On the other hand, she strongly warned against the Zionist propaganda spreading on social media, which insults Arabs and accuses them of being indifferent, claiming that the West is the one helping the Palestinians. She emphasized that this is a distorted and malicious perspective that Israel uses to recruit its agents and mislead others to instill a sense of defeat and despair among Arabs.

Dr. Al-Obaidi pointed out that Israel is using its electronic trolls this time to reflect and empty the positives of the Palestine solidarity movement and turn it into a movement of shame and betrayal for Arabs.

She believes that the important entry point for dealing with the global Palestine solidarity movement is to engage intelligently and consciously in our Arab media. If the goal is to drain support movements of their purpose, we must not succumb and allow brainwashing by accusing the Arab people of being a sleeping and indifferent populace that contributes nothing.

Dr. Al-Obaidi indicated that the credit for the international support movement for the Gaza issue goes to Palestinian and Arab organizations and entities in the diaspora. They are the ones who mobilized the cause and shed light on the crimes committed by the occupation.

She stated that "Palestinian and Arab organizations in Europe, Australia, and America have been able to strengthen and solidify their relationships within the political system and social organization they exist in."

She noted that "Arab media outlets have contributed to raising awareness through official media and social media, and during the events in Gaza, the number of journalists who fell

Hamas will never surrender to Israel

August 25, 2025 – 689 days since October 7

When Netanyahu says “now only a full deal”  to return all 50 hostages, what is he really talking about? Netanyahu is not referring to a deal with Hamas that will be reached through negotiations. He is finished negotiating. A week ago, Hamas gave their agreement to the same deal with minor changes that was on the table for months. The deal that Israel claimed to accept weeks ago, but then walked away from the table blaming Hamas for adding new conditions, is now on the table waiting for Netanyahu to say yes, but Netanyahu will not say yes (unless Trump tells him to say yes).

Netanyahu is talking about retrieving the hostages only when Hamas is brought down to its knees. The Israeli plan is to force Hamas to raise a white flag and to surrender. Netanyahu’s model is Nazi Germany and Japan at the end of World War II. This will not happen. I have no idea who is advising Netanyahu on this issue, or if Netanyahu listens to anyone who might be advising him.  What I am quite sure of is that among the so-called experts on Hamas, none of them have ever actually talked with Hamas leaders, except when they are inside of Israeli prisons. They may read a lot about Hamas, or even read everything that Hamas published on the Telegram accounts – but they have actually never had a real discussion with Hamas leaders about anything. If any of these so-called experts and telling Netanyahu – Hamas will surrender, it is further evidence that they know nothing about Hamas. They may think that Hamas leaders are not rational, that they don’t think logically, that they have no strategy. But they are very wrong – Hamas leaders are rational actors with a clear logic and strategy – the problem is that their logic and rationale are completely different from our logic and rationale, and that makes it difficult to understand them.

Netanyahu’s strategy will fail and the lives of the remaining living hostages are at immediate risk. Hamas will never surrender to Israel.  Hamas will never raise a white flag.  If Hamas comes to the conclusion that Israel will never make a deal with them, Hamas is fully prepared to execute all of the hostages as well, and to make it impossible to ever find the bodies of those hostages no longer alive.

Hamas is prepared to make an agreement to end the war, to return all of the hostages within 24-48 hours. Hamas is ready to step down from governing Gaza. Hamas is even willing to come to some arrangements where their weapons will be decommissioned. They are willing to do this with a negotiated agreement with Israel that will be guaranteed by the United States and the Arab countries. Without an agreement, they are willing to continue to fight and to continue to try to kill Israeli soldiers. And they are prepared to see many more Gazans killed as well.  They actually believe that their strategy is a winning strategy for the Palestinian people. They believe that eventually Israel will be a totally outcasted nation that no other country in the world will want to be associated with. They see this as a longer process but they also see that this is already unfolding before their eyes.

This war must end now. Too much death and destruction has already taken place.

Gaza under bombardment.. 20 dead in intensive Israeli airstrikes since Tuesday dawn.

The residents of the besieged Gaza Strip woke up on Tuesday morning to a series of violent air and artillery strikes launched by the Israeli occupation army, resulting in the death of at least 20 Palestinians and injuring dozens with varying degrees of wounds. These strikes come at a time when the strip is suffering from a suffocating blockade and a severe shortage of resources.

Medical sources in the strip's hospitals, including Al-Shifa Medical Complex and the European Hospital, confirmed that rescue and civil defense teams are still working to retrieve victims from under the rubble of residential buildings that were targeted, noting that the number of martyrs is expected to rise in the coming hours.

The strikes were distributed across several vital and populated areas throughout the strip, with the city of Khan Younis in the south being targeted, leading to the highest number of martyrs and injuries. The Jabalia camp in the north was also bombarded, resulting in massive destruction of infrastructure and homes.

In Gaza City, airstrikes targeted areas in the Shuja'iyya and Zaitoun neighborhoods, causing panic among the residents. Rescue teams are facing significant difficulties in reaching all targeted areas due to the continued intensive flying of occupation aircraft and the destruction inflicted on the roads.

These attacks exacerbate the catastrophic humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, which suffers from a prolonged blockade and a severe shortage of medical, food, and fuel resources. The Ministry of Health in Gaza warned that the exhausted hospitals are operating beyond their capacity.

The Ministry of Health issued urgent appeals to the international community and humanitarian organizations for immediate intervention to stop the "massacre" and to open safe corridors for the entry of urgent medical and relief aid to the besieged strip.

After rejecting the new occupation ambassador, "Israel" reduces diplomatic representation in Brazil.

The occupying state announced on Monday evening a reduction in the level of diplomatic representation with Brazil, after it deemed its president, Lula da Silva, a "persona non grata." This decision came in light of Brazil's refusal to endorse the appointment of Gali Dagan as the ambassador of the occupying state in Brasília.

The occupying state's Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a statement that Brazilian authorities have shown a critical and hostile approach towards the occupation since October 7, 2023, the date that witnessed escalating tensions between the two sides. The ministry pointed out that Lula da Silva's remarks, in which he likened the actions of the occupation to those of the Nazis, were a turning point.

In response to these remarks, the occupying state announced that relations with Brazil would now be managed at a lower diplomatic level, affirming that it would continue to maintain close contacts with the circles of friends of the occupation in Brazil.

It is worth noting that relations between the occupying state and Brazil have seen increasing tension since before the aggression launched by the occupying state on the Gaza Strip, which began on October 7, 2023. Relations were good with former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro, but deteriorated with Lula da Silva taking office.

Da Silva is known for his critical stance towards the occupation, having accused it of committing genocide in Gaza, comparing its actions to the extermination of the Jewish people by Adolf Hitler. He emphasized that what is happening in the Gaza Strip is not a war, but genocide, pointing out that this is not a war of soldiers against soldiers, but a war between a highly equipped army and women and children.

The occupation, with American support, has been committing genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023, including killing, starvation, destruction, and forced displacement, ignoring all international calls and orders from the International Court of Justice to stop these actions.

Statistics indicate that the Israeli genocide has resulted in the martyrdom of 62,744 Palestinians and the injury of 158,259 others, most of whom are children and women, in addition to more than 9,000 missing and hundreds of thousands displaced, leading to a famine that resulted in the martyrdom of 300 Palestinians, including 117 children.
