Galant considered during a meeting of the Foreign Affairs and Security Committee that at the end of the war on Gaza, the Hamas movement will no longer exist as a military and authoritarian force in Gaza: “Sinwar made a mistake in Gaza and decided the fate of Hamas and Gaza. If Nasrallah makes a mistake, he will decide the fate of Lebanon.”
The Israeli Minister of Security, Yoav Galant, said during a meeting in Tel Aviv of the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Security Committee today, Tuesday, that the duration of the Israeli war on Gaza will be long, and at its end the Hamas movement will no longer exist as a military and authoritarian framework in Gaza, and that there will be no security threat from Gaza on an Israeli, and that the Israeli army will have complete freedom of action without restrictions on the exercise of force.
Gallant said, "We are at the height of the fighting. The first message I would like to say here before this committee representing the entire people of Israel is that we need your full support, unity and partnership from all segments of society in Israel," according to what Israeli media reported about him.
He continued, "We are seeing results in the field. The security apparatus is focused on two things: winning the war and returning the kidnapped people to the country."
During the meeting, Gallant reviewed a report on the “advancement” of the occupation forces in the Gaza Strip, “in order to eliminate” Hamas fighters and destroy the movement’s infrastructure.
He added, "The focus now is on Gaza City," and spoke about "focusing efforts on the various fighting fronts."
