5 citizens were killed and a child was injured in a traffic accident east of Tulkarm
5 citizens, from the same family, were killed this evening, Wednesday, in a self-driving accident near Bala'a roundabout, east of Tulkarm.
Colonel Louay Irzeigat, the media spokesman for the police, stated that the accident resulted from a citizen of the city losing control of the vehicle he was driving, which had a yellow registration plate that was not registered with the official departments as a result of speeding and the vehicle deviating to the right from the main street, which caused the injury of everyone who was. There were 6 seriously injured people who were taken to the city's hospitals for treatment.
He added, "The doctors announced the death of 5 of them, who are from one family, which included the husband, wife, daughter, and two children from their daughter's sons, all of whom are residents of the city of Tulkarm, and the injury of another child, who was described as critical."
Colonel Arziqat confirmed that the Public Prosecution Office was informed and the traffic police investigated the accident to find out its causes.
