Injuries during settlers' storming under the protection of the occupation army north of Ramallah
A number of citizens were injured, Saturday evening, while confronting settlers, under the protection of the Israeli occupation forces, storming the town of Turmus Ayya, north of Ramallah.
According to local sources, clashes erupted between citizens, occupation forces and settlers, which led to two citizens being injured by rubber-coated metal bullets in the foot, and another by settlers' stones.
The same sources added that the occupation forces arrested the young man Ammar Al-Qouq (29 years old) during their raid, while the settlers tried to burn a number of homes and vehicles of citizens in the town.
According to statistics from the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, settler attacks last year resulted in the deaths of 10 citizens. Settlers also caused 373 fires to citizens’ properties and fields in the governorates of Nablus, Ramallah, Jenin and Tulkarm, in addition to 451 attacks that resulted in the uprooting, damage, sabotage and poisoning of a total of 14,212 trees, including 10,459 olive trees.
