Netanyahu and Halevy threaten Iran and talk about a battle on several fronts
On Tuesday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his chief of staff, Herzi Halevi, made threats against Iran, amid talk of a battle on several fronts.
Netanyahu visited one of the headquarters of the Israeli intelligence division, accompanied by the head of the division, Aharon Haliwa, and the head of the National Security Council, Tzachi Hanegbi, and received a security briefing on the preparations in various arenas to confront the "Iranian threat," as described in a statement from his office.
Netanyahu said, "I just finished a visit to one of our intelligence bases, and I saw how Israel is one step ahead of every enemy, and it does so with more human and artificial intelligence. What I saw here is really the future."
For his part, Halevy said at the Reichmann conference that Iran is using Syria as a potential war zone with Israel, pointing out that his forces have the ability to strike Iran and there are negative developments regarding its nuclear file that could lead to military action.
He believed that any war on the northern front, if it occurred, would be much more difficult for Lebanon and Hezbollah.
He added: "The war in the north, if it occurs, will be difficult on our home front, but we know how to deal with it."
