Disclosure of details of the health status and detention of prisoner Amarna and his two sons

Today, Tuesday, the Commission for Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs published details of the health status and arbitrary detention of prisoner Majd Amarneh and his two sons, Mujahid and Ahmed, who are in the Negev prison, after the commission’s lawyer, Fadi Obeidat, visited them to check on their situation.

The authority said: "The prisoner Majd Amarneh - Izz al-Din - (52 years) from Jenin, went on a hunger strike from 04/23/2023 until 04/05/2023 for a period of 12 days, and it was agreed to end the strike in exchange for a determination of A ceiling for his administrative detention, and treatment for his son Mujahid, who is detained with him in the same department alongside his other son Ahmed, who was transferred to administrative detention, under the pretext of having a secret file, as it was extended three times, each time four months, and the current extension ends on 08/15/2023. .

Mujahid (21 years old), who has been sentenced to two years, suffers from cramps in the face, shoulders, legs and hands, swelling of the lips and displacement of the mouth, as a result of being given four anesthetic needles when he visited the dental clinic.


He visited the clinic several times, but the prison administration violated the agreement related to ending the strike with his father, and Mujahid was not provided with any treatment. Today, he suffers from a nervous condition, distraction, forgetfulness, and lack of focus, and his health condition is rapidly deteriorating.

The commission’s lawyer added that the prisoner, Majd Amarneh, is blind and suffers from stomach, irritable bowel and pressure problems. He was also transferred to administrative detention under the pretext of having a secret file and was extended three times for a period of six months, as the current extension expires on 06/18/2023, and recently the Israeli Supreme Court gave Its agreement to extend it for the fourth time for an additional four months.
