The first batch of Palestinian nationals left Sudan for Syria
The Political Adviser to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ambassador Ahmed Al-Deek, announced that the first batch of nationals of the State of Palestine holding Syrian documents who are in the port of Port Sudan left at dawn today, Tuesday, towards their families and relatives in Syria.
The number of our citizens who hold Syrian documents in Port Sudan is 74, and they will be transferred in batches that will expire in the next few days. Therefore, the State of Palestine will thus have completed the evacuation of all its citizens, not only from the areas of conflict, but also from Sudanese territory, and ensuring their access to their families and loved ones in Homeland and diaspora.
Ambassador Al-Deek thanked the Syrian Arab Republic for its president, government and people for their dealings with the Palestinian citizen as a Syrian citizen and for the facilities it provided to enable our nationals to join their families and loved ones in Syria.
Ambassador Al-Deek added that the crisis cells are following up around the clock the conditions and concerns of the remaining citizens of the State of Palestine in Sudan, as well as following up on any individual cases that may express their desire to leave Sudanese territory.
