Shtayyeh appreciated the decisions issued by the Jeddah Summit, which affirmed the centrality of the Palestinian cause to the Arab nation, the commitment of the Arab countries to support the Palestinian right at various levels, and the importance of activating the Arab Peace Initiative. On behalf of the Council of Ministers, he called on the International Red Cross and the United Nations to intervene immediately to save the life of captive Walid Daqqa, who had entered the stage of grave danger.
In another matter, the Prime Minister indicated that the government work team passed the audit requirements to obtain the international certificate within the framework of the government reform program, which government departments and ministries have begun to implement, including the governance of their businesses in accordance with international standards, and the improvement of services provided to citizens.
He pointed out that the Secretary-General had received the certificate on behalf of the team, calling on all government departments to provide the best service to citizens, in a way that gives comfort and facilitation to their needs.
The Council of Ministers will discuss several topics, including: political and security reports, health insurance for the military, the West Bank water department, combating torture, information security, establishing a fund to recycle investments in renewable energy, and tenders for roads and health institutions.
