Jeddah Summit... An Arab tongue supports the Palestinian people

The words of the Arab leaders and heads of delegations participating in yesterday's Jeddah Summit, which was held in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, witnessed everyone's assurances of the need to support the Palestinian people in establishing their independent state with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.

This breath, spoken by the kings and heads of Arab states, comes in line with what the Arab peoples are calling for, especially in light of the crimes, extremist acts and arrogance committed by the occupying authorities, through which they have been able to continue killings, families, demolitions, and sieges against defenseless people in the cities of the West Bank, Al-Quds Al-Sharif, and the Gaza Strip. It even continues hostility to the Palestinians inside what is known as the state of "Israel", as it wants to continue its arrogance without stopping.

The Jeddah summit may be different from other summits in light of the return of Syria, in the presence of President Bashar al-Assad, to the Arab embrace. What we heard of beautiful words and phrases must be accompanied by actions on the ground. Israel, under the far-right government, is increasing hostility and violations against the Palestinian people, and Islamic and Christian sanctities. In Al-Quds Al-Sharif, assassinations of Palestinian faction leaders and civilians continue without regard to laws, customs, state charters, and human rights.

The League of Arab States must move collectively and not at least individually to isolate Israel internationally, and stop all forms of normalization with it until it stops its criminal actions, as well as providing great financial support to brothers in all cities of Palestine away from factional classifications, as every Palestinian on the occupied land must be supported And support him, and the siege on Gaza must be ended, and the culture of visiting Jerusalem should be promoted, because in their visit there is support for all Jerusalemites and stationed people and their confirmation in the face of the occupier, settlers, extremists and their plans.

The Arab countries must continue to support with all their might the Jerusalemites stationed in Al-Quds Al-Sharif and the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, and not allow the occupying power to continue to harass them to expel them from the Holy City.

The Arabs must realize the importance of the Hashemite Custodianship over Islamic and Christian sanctities, and its role in confronting all incursions and terrorist and extremist acts into the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque. Especially after the Arab countries have been preoccupied during the past decade with the repercussions of what is known as the Arab Spring, Israel's exploitation of the Arab-Arab conflict, the expansion of settlements and the intensification of its efforts to expel the Palestinians, and attempts to pass deals such as the John Kerry project, the deal of the century, and Jerusalem as the unified capital of Israel.

In Jordan, we look at the success or failure of any Arab summit to the extent of the achievements it achieves on the ground for the Palestinian people. The Arab peoples are their first link to Palestine with its people, Jerusalem, and Islamic sanctities. . As Tunisian President Dr. Kais Said said, "We want the Arabs to be active, not passive."
