Countries calling for an end to the "bloodshed" in Gaza
The foreign ministers of Germany, France, Egypt and Jordan called on Thursday for an end to violence between Israel and armed factions in Gaza, after three days of exchanges of fire.
"The bloodshed must stop now," German Foreign Minister Analina Baerbock said after talks with her counterparts in Berlin. In turn, her Jordanian counterpart, Ayman Safadi, said, "The negative developments must stop, and peace must be revived."
Egypt's Foreign Minister, Sameh Shoukry, announced that his country's efforts to calm the Gaza Strip "still have not yielded the desired fruits and results," calling for international intervention to stop the "Israeli escalation."
This came according to what the Egyptian minister said in a press conference in the German capital, Berlin, on the sidelines of the "Munich Peace" meeting, according to what was broadcast by Egyptian media, and followed by "Anatolia".
In turn, her Jordanian counterpart, Ayman Safadi, said, "The negative developments must stop, and peace must be revived."
