A faltering cease-fire in Gaza, and Israel refuses to abide by stopping the assassinations
Identical sources confirmed that no ceasefire agreement has been reached so far in the Gaza Strip.
Well-informed sources told Al-Quds.com: Everything that is published about reaching any agreement regarding any conditions related to the cease-fire is inaccurate.
The sources added: "The occupation rejects any conditions of jihad and adheres to a mutual cease-fire, but the jihad movement is determined to accept all its conditions without exception. What is happening in Cairo until now is dialogues below the real serious level in light of the occupation's intransigence and its clinging to its refusal to abide by any conditions." as she said.
While an official Israeli political official said that Tel Aviv will not commit to Egypt or any party to stop the assassinations in exchange for a cease-fire in the Gaza Strip.
In a statement distributed by the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the official confirmed that no ceasefire agreement had been reached, indicating that contacts are continuing with Egypt and no commitments or promises have been made to it.
He said: "We did not commit to stopping the assassinations. They can demand that, but we will not abide."
Regarding handing over the body of the martyr Khader Adnan, the official said: "Israel did not agree to hand over his body within the framework of the ceasefire," referring to the possibility of handing him over at a later date.
This morning, direct negotiations began between the Egyptian intelligence and the leadership of the Islamic Jihad movement, following the continuous Israeli aggression in the Gaza Strip.
Egypt is seeking through these direct negotiations to try to achieve progress in the stalled negotiations that it has been leading since last Tuesday evening in an attempt to prevent an escalation of the situation in the Gaza Strip.
Earlier, sources from the Islamic Jihad leadership told Al-Quds.com that Muhammad al-Hindi, head of the political department in the movement's political bureau, will arrive this morning in Cairo from Istanbul.
Al-Hindi is discussing with the leadership of the Egyptian intelligence service the movement's conditions for a cease-fire, in light of the stalled negotiations.
The sources indicated that the Islamic Jihad has adhered to its conditions so far, especially with regard to stopping assassinations by the Israeli occupation.
The sources pointed out that the leadership of the Islamic Jihad Movement is leading the battle with a different tactic, and is settling itself so that the current round will continue for several days and perhaps until the Day of the March of the Flags on the eighteenth of this month to confirm that the battle is mainly linked to Jerusalem and is not a bombing here or there or a response to the assassination of a leader. or else.
The sources said: The leader is succeeded by a thousand leaders, but Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa are the way to defend the Palestinian cause.
