Gaza Electricity calls for taking the necessary precautions
Today, Thursday, the electricity company in the Gaza Strip called on all citizens and institutions to take the necessary and necessary precautions, in anticipation of the possibility of changes in the electricity distribution schedule, due to the closure of the crossings and its impact on the entry of fuel to the power station, or any malfunctions that may occur on the lines.
The company confirmed, in a statement, that the amount of electricity available from sources is (166) megawatts, and the average demand for energy is (193) megawatts, while the average deficit in energy is (13%).
She pointed out that the schedule in force in the governorates is (8) and (8) chapters with increases.
She said, "The number of reports of malfunctions received by the technical staff since the start of the aggression reached (311) from various governorates," noting that the F8 + J9 feeder was out of service, due to network malfunctions, and they were returned to service.
The company called on the international community and all parties to intervene urgently in order to allow the entry of fuel shipments necessary to operate the power plant to ensure the provision of electricity to vital facilities such as hospitals, waste pumps, treatment plants, potable water wells, desalination plants and other service facilities.
