Today, Monday, the Israeli Shin Bet claimed that it had arrested a cell belonging to the "Popular Front" from Bethlehem.

The Shin Bet said in a statement: “The cell, consisting of 6 individuals, tried to carry out a bombing attack on a public transport bus in the “Beitar Illit” settlement, on the ninth of last March, under the directives of the Front’s leaders in the occupation prisons, in the Gaza Strip, and in Lebanon. ".

The six detainees are: Wissam Oweina, Ahmed Abu Nima, Mazen Obaidallah, Muhammad Al-Barq, Rami Al-Ahmar, and Nour Mahmoud, all of whom are residents of Bethlehem.

A young woman, "a resident of Israel," was arrested, and the person who placed the explosive device on the bus in "Beitar Illit" was arrested "on the day of the attack, in violation of the entry into Israel law."

The Shin Bet said: "After it became clear in an investigation that the detainee was not aware of the perpetrator's intentions with regard to the attack, an indictment was filed against her for the crime of transferring an illegal resident."
