Al-Maliki calls for an international stance towards the crimes of "Israel" against our people

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Riyad Al-Maliki, demanded a position from the Arab League and the Security Council towards the Israeli crimes against the Palestinian people.

This came in a statement to reporters, on the sidelines of the meeting of Arab foreign ministers in its extraordinary session, at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Arab League in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, today, Sunday, to discuss the latest developments in the Palestinian cause and the continuous Israeli violations against the Palestinian people.

Al-Maliki said: "There are two main issues, the first before the League Council, which is summarized in the fact that since the advent of the new, extremist, fascist Israeli government to rule in Israel, it is committing massacres on a daily basis against the Palestinian people, as not a day passes except that there are martyrs, and houses are demolished. Not a day goes by without land grabs and siege on Palestinian cities, as is the case in Jericho, Nablus, Jenin, and the Palestinian camps.

He continued: "The second issue is related to the fifteenth of this month, which coincides with the 75th anniversary of the Palestinian Nakba, which is a tragedy not only for the Palestinian people, but a tragedy for all mankind and humanity, and that for the first time in history the United Nations commemorates this memory at the headquarters of the General Assembly in New York, Where President Mahmoud Abbas will participate, to remind the world of the injustice that has befallen the Palestinian people, and to hold the international community responsible for this tragedy."

Al-Maliki said: "The prisoners and detainees are also an ongoing issue that must be remembered, especially what happened recently regarding the captive martyr Khader Adnan, and the violations that took place with him inside the occupation prisons, in addition to the daily systematic Israeli crimes that need to provide international protection for the defenseless Palestinian people, and that Punitive measures are being taken against the occupying state, the apartheid state, which continues to commit crimes and massacres against the Palestinian people.

He explained that the Council will adopt a draft statement in the emergency special session on the Palestinian issue today, as there is a basic item on prisoners and detainees, especially on the martyr Khader Adnan, in addition to Israeli violations and daily crimes, which will establish for subsequent steps by the Arab League and then international organizations, especially that There is Resolution No. 908 of the Security Council that talks about international protection and the demilitarization of settlers.

He added, "The Secretary-General of the United Nations was asked to submit proposals on providing mechanisms for international protection for the Palestinian people in the occupied Palestinian territories during the past week, when I visited New York."

With regard to the occupation state's detention of the bodies of the martyrs, Minister Al-Maliki said: "This is contrary to international laws and norms and international humanitarian law, and there are graves of numbers where many of these were buried in unknown graves, and numbers were placed without any names on their graves, instead of being given They deserve the merit they deserve by honoring them from their families and bidding them farewell.
