Italian Championship: Lazio refuses to hand Napoli the title

Lazio refused that Napoli win the Italian Football League title before it played its match Thursday with its host Udinese, by defeating its guest Sassuolo 2-0 on Wednesday in the thirty-third stage of the Italian Football League.

After two losses in the past two stages against Turin (0-1) and Inter (1-3), Lazio opened the door to Napoli to win its first title since 1990 in the last stage, but it stumbled against Salernitana 1-1, and its coronation was postponed to this stage.

Napoli needed a draw or loss for Lazio, who is supervised by its former coach, Maurizio Sari, in order to settle matters before even playing his match with Udinese, but the capital club refused to hand him the title, which will be decided Thursday in the event of a draw or victory for the southern club.

And with its nineteenth victory for the season at the expense of a team without ambition, due to its departure from the danger zone and its loss of hope for continental participation, Lazio clung to second place, a point ahead of Juventus, who in turn beat Lecce 2-1 at home.

And after he finished the first half ahead with the goal of Brazilian Felipe Anderson after a through pass from his compatriot Marcos Antonio (14), the fans of the capital team lived through difficult times until relief came in stoppage time from the match through Croatian substitute Toma Pasic, who settled the three points after a pass from Mattia Zani ( 2+90).

In Turin, Juventus returned to the winning streak at the right time, thus enhancing its chances of participating in the Champions League, by defeating its guest Lecce 2-1.
Juventus entered the match against the backdrop of three defeats and a draw in the past four stages, in addition to its exit from the semi-finals of the cup competition at the hands of Inter, with a 1-1 draw with it in the first leg and a 0-1 return loss, which increased the resentment of its coach Massimiliano Allegri.

But the "Old Lady" team, which recovered the 15 points deducted from it for accusing it of financial manipulation and is still competing for one title for the season by qualifying for the "Europa League" semi-finals, regained its balance at the right time with its nineteenth victory for the season, raising its tally to 63 points.

Juventus remained alone in third place, three points behind Inter returning from the Hellas Verona stadium, with a sweeping victory with a clean six, scored by Argentine Adolfo Gaish (31 mistakes in his own net), Turkish Hakan Çalhan Oglu from a wonderful long shot (36), Bosnian Edin Dzeko (38 and 61) and Argentine Lautaro. Martinez (55 and 2 + 90).

Milan, the defending champion, and Roma were the biggest losers in this stage, as they fell to sixth and seventh positions with the same number of points (38) and Atlanta, rising to fifth place (38 points), by defeating its guest Spezia with three goals that came as a result of corner kicks through Dutchman Martin de Roon (32). And Davide Zappacosta (48) and Colombian Luis Muriel (54), compared to two goals for Ghanaian Emmanuel Giasi (18) and Moroccan Mahdi Bourbia (64).

In the “San Siro”, Milan was on its way to defeat against its guest Cremonese, after it fell behind in the 77th minute with the goal of Nigerian David Okereke, before Brazilian substitute Junior Messias saved him by equalizing from a free kick in the fatal time (3 + 90), while Roma advanced on the land of Monza. With the goal of Stephan El Shaarawy (24), before the host responded with the goal of Luca Caldirola (39).

In the “Allianz Stadium”, Juventus performed well against the sixteenth-placed team and opened the scoring from the 15th minute through Argentine Leandro Paredes from a long free kick, which goalkeeper Vladimiro Falcone was unable to block.

Juventus received a slap after the Brazilian Danilo caused a penalty kick for touching the ball with his hand in the forbidden area, which the Gambian Assan Sisay successfully addressed (37).

But the Turin giant quickly regained the lead through the Serbian Dusan Vlahovic, after the ball reached him from the left side with a cross by his compatriot Philip Kostic, so he caught it beautiful with his left to the right corner of the goal (40).

In doing so, Vlahović ended a 773-minute scoring fast in the league, notching his ninth goal of the season.

Allegri commented on the former Fiorentina striker's goal to Dazon, saying, "He scored a great goal and I think he improved as the game progressed... Unfortunately he had never experienced a situation like this (fasting for a long time). He came from Fiorentina where everything went well." For him, but every player goes through a similar period in his career."

"All he has to do is erase," he said

Brute on his calmness and skip it (stage). I hope it will be a starting point for him and Juventus."
And after the second half began with a header by Danilo that bounced off the left post, Juventus' performance declined despite the entry of Federico Chiesa and Frenchman Paul Pogba, who presented beautiful glimpses, and was unable to seriously threaten the goal amid obvious tension from Allegri, but in the end the result remained the same.

And from a hat-trick by Senegalese Boulay Dia (10, 59 and 81 from a penalty kick), with which he raised his tally to 15 goals this season, Salernitana imposed a 3-3 draw on its guest Fiorentina, in a meeting during which the latter fell behind three times.

Sampdoria appears on its way to the second division for the first time since 2011 after losing at home to Turin 0-2, which kept it languishing at the bottom of the standings, 10 points behind the safety zone.
