Shtayyeh condemns the new Israeli cuts

Prime Minister Muhammad Shtayyeh condemned the decision of the Israeli Minister of Finance, Bezalel Smotrich. Today, Wednesday, an amount of 3.2 million shekels was deducted from the clearance funds; To be added to the amount of 138.8 million shekels; which was cut off last January.


Shtayyeh considered the Israeli decision as a new piracy of our people's money. Calling on the friendly countries that are meeting today in the Belgian capital, Brussels, during the conference to coordinate aid to the Palestinian people, to exert pressure on Israel to force it to stop these cuts; Which amounted to (800) million dollars since the year 2019, and returning it to the treasury, which suffers from a large deficit that may reach 609 million dollars by the end of this year in the event that these unjust deductions, and other practices and policies, are not stopped; Which aims to put pressure on our people to give up their legitimate rights.


Shtayyeh emphasized that the Palestinian leadership, led by President Mahmoud Abbas; You will not barter national rights for money, and that these practices; It will not discourage it from continuing to fulfill its obligations towards the families of the martyrs, the wounded and the prisoners.
