Lens owes its victory to its Belgian international striker Luis Obenda, who scored the only goal in the 33rd minute, bringing his tally to 18 goals this season.

Lens took advantage of Paris Saint-Germain's loss to its guest Lorient 1-3 on Sunday, strengthening its position in third place with 69 points, reducing the difference between them to six points, and to one point between him and Marseille II, who won Auxerre 2-1 on Sunday as well.
