England Championship: Palace decides its survival to a large extent with a thrilling victory over West Ham and the Brighton review

Crystal Palace largely decided its survival in the English Premier League with a fourth victory in April under the leadership of its new-old coach Roy Hodgson, and came at the expense of its guest and injured neighbor, West Ham, with a dramatic score of 4-3 on Saturday in the thirty-fourth stage.

Hodgson's team raised its score to 40 points in eleventh place temporarily, 11 points ahead of Leicester XVIII, which meets on Monday with Everton, while West Ham remained at the center of the struggle for survival after its balance froze at 34 in fifteenth place, with its seventeenth defeat of the season.

What makes the task of the Scottish coach David Moyes more difficult is that he will face the two neighbors, Manchester City, the defending champions, the second in the standings, and Manchester United, the fourth, next Wednesday and Sunday.

And after falling behind in the 9th minute with a goal by the Czech Tomas Sochik, Palace responded with three goals for Ghanaian Jordan Ayew (15), Ivorian Wilfried Zaha (20) and the other Ghanaian Jeffrey Schlupp (30), but the guests narrowed the difference through Jamaican Michael Antonio (35), to end the first half with a lead. The owner of the land 3-2.

In the second half, Palace widened the gap again thanks to a penalty kick executed by Iberici Ezeh (66), before Moroccan Nayef Akrad narrowed the gap again (72), without that being enough to deny Palace a fourth victory since Hodgson returned to take over the team on March 21. He succeeded the French Patrice Evra.

And after the disappointment of exiting the cup semi-finals at the hands of Manchester United by penalty kicks, and then the frustrating loss to Nottingham Forest 1-3 in the last stage, Brighton poured out his anger on his guest, Wolverhampton, and swept him 6-0 in the duels with distinction, as both Germans scored Deniz Ondav ( 6 and 66), Pascal Gross (13 and 26) and Danny Welbeck (39 and 48) scored two goals.

Brighton scored four goals in the first half for the first time since February 2016 against Leeds in the second level league, according to “Opta” statistics, while Italian coach Roberto De Zerbi’s team became the fifth team with a double of three players in one match in the history of the Premier League.

Brighton hopes that this victory will give him the moral impetus to achieve his revenge on Manchester United when he hosts him Thursday with the ambition of continental participation next season, as he raised his score to 52 points in eighth place, only two points behind Tottenham Fifth, with two matches less than the last, who plays Sunday with his host Liverpool. Seventh (53 points).

Brighton remained two points ahead of Brentford after the latter's exciting victory over its guest Nottingham Forest, who is struggling to avoid relegation 2-1 in the fatal time, after it was lagging behind with the goal of Brazilian Danilo (1 + 45) before responding late with two goals from Evan Toni (82). And substitute Josh Da Silva (4+90).
