CAF Champions League: Penalties carry Wydad to the semi-finals
Moroccan Wydad Athletic Club will continue its campaign to defend its title as a champion of the African Champions League football competition, after it overcame the Tanzanian Simba hurdle 4-3 with a penalty shootout after the original time ended 1-0 for the Casablanca team on Friday at the “Mohamed V” stadium in Casablanca, in the quarter-final second leg. Simba had won the first leg with the same result in Dar es Salaam.
