Marseille regained second place from Lens by defeating Lyon 2-1 on Sunday, at the end of the thirty-second stage of the French Football Championship .

Marseille was the first to score through its Turkish international striker Dengiz Under in the 44th minute, but veteran captain Alexandre Lacazette equalized for Lyon in the 68th minute, before the southern team snatched the winning goal thanks to friendly fire when Ivory Coast defender Senali Diomandé tried to clear a cross from the front of the goal, and it bounced off. Lens temporarily snatched second place on Saturday, beating its guest, Monaco, 3-0.
