French Championship: Marseille snatches the runner-up and Monaco fourth
Marseille rose to the runners-up of the French Football League by defeating its guest Troyes 3-1, while Monaco returned to the winning streak by dropping Lorient by the same result, to rise to fourth place, within the thirty-first stage competitions on Sunday.
Thanks to the double of Portuguese Vitor Oliveira (2 and 64) and a third goal by the Turkish Cengiz Onder (40), Marseille achieved its first victory at its “Velodrome” stadium after three draws and two losses, despite a late goal for Troyes by Mama Baldi from Guinea-Bissau (90 + 1).
Thus, Marseille raised its tally to 64 points in second place, taking advantage of the third Lens fall (63 points) against leaders Paris Saint-Germain (72 points) Saturday 1-3.

In two other matches, Clermont-Ferrand beat Angers 2-1, and Strasbourg beat Ajaccio 3-1.
