A positive tie imposed its word on the confrontation that brought together Zamalek and its guest Al-Ittihad of Alexandria, with a score of 1-1 yesterday evening, Tuesday, at Cairo International Stadium in the 32nd round of the Egyptian League.

Ibrahim Hassan, the Alexandrian Al-Ittihad player, advanced with a wonderful goal in the 44th minute, and Mahmoud Hamdi “Al-Wensh” equalized in the 75th minute with a distinguished header.

Zamalek played incomplete since the 18th minute of the match, after Hossam Abdel Majeed, the team's defender, was sent off.

The match witnessed a festive atmosphere, after Zamalek officially won the Egyptian League title, after Pyramids lost the day before yesterday, Monday, at the hands of Future, 1-0.

Zamalek raised its score, led by its Portuguese coach Josevaldo Ferreira, to 76 points at the top of the standings, after its 10 victories in a row stopped.

The balance of Al-Ittihad of Alexandria, led by its coach, Mohamed Omar, rose to 37 points, in tenth place in the ranking table.

Zamalek Club officially received the Egyptian League shield after the match.

The Egyptian Clubs Association, in agreement with the Egyptian Federation, held a ceremony to hand over the shield after the meeting, in the presence of Jamal Allam, President of the Federation, and Chancellor Mortada Mansour, President of Zamalek Club.

Mahmoud Abdel Razek "Shikabala", the captain of Zamalek, won the league shield, and celebrated his famous dance with his players.

Randomness prevailed during the league shield celebration, to the point that Zamalek players decided to take the league shield to the dressing rooms, in order to celebrate better.
