Hilal Al-Quds Club participates in the ceremony honoring the winners of the Al-Quds competition for memorizing the Holy Quran
Jerusalem - Hilal Al-Quds Club Media Center/ Hilal Al-Quds Club, accompanied by the Jordanian Islamic Endowments Department, participated in a ceremony honoring the winning students in the Jerusalem competition for memorizing the Holy Quran, in the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The participation of Hilal Al-Quds Club in this honor comes as a matter of social responsibility entrusted to the club, as the club is a strategic partner in the success of this competition.
The competition was attended by the Director General of the Awqaf, Sheikh Azzam Al-Khatib, and Dr. Najeh Bakirat, the Director General of the Awqaf Department, in the presence of a number of professors and scholars. Approximately 289 students participated in the competition.
The President of Hilal Al-Quds Club, Mr. Diaa Al-Shweiki, thanked all the teachers working on this competition, for their efforts to educate students and parents who are keen to follow their children in memorizing the Qur’an.
He added, the nation needs this distinguished constellation of memorizers of the Book of God to illuminate the path, stressing that the Quranic centers will remain lofty and eager to create an environment on a systematic basis and plans based on principles and values, despite all the challenges.
He continued, "We will carry hope for a better tomorrow despite all the challenges, and we will fight and struggle despite all the odds."
Al-Shwaiki thanked the businessman, Mr. Ashraf Abu Issa, member of the Board of Trustees of Hilal Al-Quds Club, for his effective contribution to the success of this competition.
In conclusion, Mr. Diaa indicated that Hilal Al-Quds Club was and will remain the true face of all segments of society, that the club is keen to keep such activities and events on the top of the priorities of the management of Hilal Al-Quds Club.
