Gaza - Ahmed Al-Masharawi - The Supreme Council for Youth and Sports handed over the third-division clubs in the Gaza Strip the financial grant for the new football season 2022-2023, at a value of 40 thousand dollars. With the anniversary of the martyrdom of Commander Ahmed Al-Ja’bari, one of the supporters of sports and clubs, in the presence of representatives of third-division clubs and each of the general directors of the Council, Saeed Abu Sultan, Nabil Awaja, and a number of officials. Jaber Ayyash welcomed the audience and conveyed the greetings of Abd al-Salam Haniyeh, and confirmed that the council is providing support today to complement what was provided to the clubs of the first, first and second division, and wished success to the third division clubs with the imminent launch of the league, and indicated that the council will continue to stand by the clubs and provide material and moral support to ensure Continuation of sports activity.


Qatari Foreign Ministry

The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Gaza Strip Reconstruction Committee, in coordination with the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, decided to place a huge screen in the Saad Sail Hall in the Palestine Sports Complex in front of the media and the masses to follow the launch ceremony of the World Cup activities hosted by the State of Qatar, as well as the opening match between the Qatari host team and the Ecuadorian national team. And that is next Sunday, the 20th of this month, at four in the afternoon, and the Reconstruction Committee called on all media, sports fans, and citizens to attend this event, which is being hosted by an Arab and Middle Eastern country for the first time in its history, where the place will be secured and the audience will be seated.


Middle Girls are tabletop champions

The team of the Directorate of Education in Al-Wusta Governorate won the first place cup in the Table Tennis Championship organized by the Ministry of Education for secondary school students at the level of the seven districts, entitled “Jerusalem, Pride and Dignity”, in the presence of Abdul Ghani Al-Sheikh, Director of Sports Activity in the Ministry, and Maryam Abu Jazar, Supervisor of Physical Education in Al-Wusta and Salwa Kurds supervisor scouting and sports activity.


The tournament witnessed strong competition among the participating teams, and the victory was won by the female students of the Middle Education Directorate, represented by the students of Mariam Bint Omran Secondary School for Girls. At the end of the tournament, cups and medals were distributed to the students and winning teams, and the middle team won the first place cup and medals. The middle class was represented by the winning players Iman Muhammad Mahdi, Saja Jamal Mahdi, and May Al-Nabris. The Palestinian Volleyball Federation in the Gaza Strip announced the start of preparations for the start of the new sports season 2022-2023, sponsored by Jawwal, and called on the clubs to prepare strongly and appropriately for the launch of the partial professional league in all technical, physical and administrative aspects. This came during the meeting held by the Federation with the participation of the General Assembly of Volleyball Clubs in the Thai Hall in the city, sponsored by the Palestinian Olympic Committee and the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, in the presence of Ihab Kahil, member of the Federation and Chairman of the Competitions Committee, Maher Shehadeh, representative of the Palestinian Olympic Committee, and Saadallah Abu Eita, Secretary General of the Federation. Jamal Hassouna, head of the Referees Committee, heads of volleyball clubs, team representatives, and a number of game experts and stars of the beautiful time.

Abu Eita welcomed the audience after reading what was available from the Holy Quran, and conveyed to the members of the General Assembly, the greetings of Abdel Salam Haniyeh, Assistant Secretary-General of the Supreme Council, and Vice President of the Palestinian Volleyball Federation.


Attention to age groups

In a speech over the phone, Hamza Radhi, President of the Federation, talked about the Federation's achievement of the agenda last season, and wished the clubs a new distinguished season in all tournaments, stressing the importance of the clubs' interest in the age groups, to be the best tributary for the buds and youth teams, which will have external participations during this season. Kahil reviewed the federation's agenda for the new season, and wished the clubs a distinguished season in the partial professional league, the Premier League, and the beach and junior championships that the federation will launch during the year.


In turn, Kahil stressed the need for all clubs and technical bodies to adhere to what was agreed upon with club representatives during the meeting, in order for volleyball activity to appear in its best form. Abu Aita opened the door to inquiries from members of the General Assembly about the mechanism for organizing the new season with all its competitions, stressing the Federation's patience and full readiness to listen to any criticisms and suggestions that would advance and develop volleyball.


The members of the association discussed a set of new ideas and suggestions, and it was agreed to hold other meetings for the clubs of each tournament separately, to prepare well and review the legal regulations for each competition.


Al-Masdar is a trainer for Deir Al-Balah

Ittihad Deir al-Balah club, one of the clubs in the center of the Gaza Strip, reached an agreement with coach Hani Al-Masdar, Najm Al-Ameed, Gaza Sports Club, Gaza Strip and Football Club, to return to coach the football team, in the second leg of the second division championship for the “Central and South” branch, to succeed the resigned Tawfiq Indian. The club is looking forward to competing vigorously to snatch the only promotion card to the First Division, which it is losing for the third season in a row in the last round of the competition. Al-Masdar led the Olympic team as an assistant coach, and the Al-Masdar club last season, and achieved remarkable results with him, and lost the promotion ticket by a point difference from hope, as the team won under his leadership in 10 out of 11 matches in which he was on the technical crossbar. The team currently has 15 points in third place, just 3 points behind leader Khadamat Al-Maghazi
