Rajoub: Developing women's football is a top priority for the federation
Jerusalem - "Al Quds" dot com - The President of the Palestinian Football Association, Jibril Rajoub, stressed the importance of developing women's football and caring for it by administrators, technicians and players, and that it comes at the forefront of the federation's priorities.
Rajoub indicated, during a meeting held today, Saturday, with a number of the federation’s cadres, that there was a decision to institutionalize the Palestinian National Football Association with visions that include a clear national sports strategy and unified policies in the field of development, marketing, management and money, including starting to reformulate the general secretariat in order to become an effective umbrella. It is able to carry out its tasks according to a strategy approved by the Executive Office, and to identify a control mechanism capable of identifying points of imbalance and shortcomings during the implementation process and work to address them and close them.
He stressed that women's football is among the federation's priorities, and a formula must be reached that includes an organizational structure and mechanisms related to providing an administration that includes capable and qualified cadres to carry out the tasks entrusted to it, positive interaction with clubs, and following up on the general mood in the Palestinian street, in addition to creating all encouraging incentives to consider women's football a cornerstone. within the union.
He stressed the need to benefit from the continental and international federations and the programs they offer for women's football, which are of great interest to the international and continental federations.
He stressed the need for objective control according to foundations and pillars that constitute a measuring tool, starting from attribution, through sponsorship, and all the way to choosing crews according to specific criteria, and selecting players according to specific competencies and skills as well.
He pointed out the importance of having a plan of action, and that there are three possibilities that we have to rely on in developing a clear plan, the first is the existence of a national movement and a supportive government, and secondly, the state of interest in women’s football in the world, specifically in Palestine, in addition to the programs included in the Asian and international federations.
Rajoub stressed the need to build a production line for the manufacture of a player and technician (coach, administrator, player, observer...), noting that the women's department is responsible for building the production line for women's football as part of the federation. He stressed the importance of contacting clubs, the Ministry of Education and civil society institutions, identifying clubs that participate in the national calendar, encouraging visiting clubs and communicating with them and with schools and universities, which will result in a situation to be built upon in the future.
Rajoub said that one of the Union's tasks is to build a system of academies across the country, male and female, pointing to the need to think and work on this issue.
He touched on the issue of the structure of the women's department, and said that there is a department director who has clear and specific tasks, and there is an administrative part that is considered the most important in the success of the sports system, in addition to the technical aspect that forms competitions, referees and courses, and marketing, which is a reflection of what has been worked on, and finally the team component.
