Gaza - Media of the Triathlon Federation - The players of the Palestinian Triathlon Federation participated in the third edition of the Fujairah International Triathlon Championship, known as "Triathlon", which was held in the United Arab Emirates during the period from 11/13 November 2022, under the auspices of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad, Crown Prince Emirate of Fujairah.

The championship, organized by the Fujairah Club, witnessed a wide international participation of 380 male and female players from 20 countries of different age groups, and the Palestinian player, Abdullah Abu Shabab, achieved second place, and won the silver medal at the level of all categories in the "Sprint Triathlon" race.

The player, Omar Abu Shabab, also achieved first place in the category under 23 years old, and sixth for all age groups participating in the tournament.

It is noteworthy that the players of the "triathlon" team are currently participating in the Olympic preparation program, which is sponsored by the International Olympic Solidarity Program, and under the supervision and follow-up of the Palestinian Olympic Committee.

The President of the Palestinian Triathlon Federation thanked and appreciated the Palestinian Olympic Committee, headed by Lieutenant General Jibril Rajoub, and his deputy, Dr. Asaad Al-Majdalawi for their continuous sponsorship and support for the federation's participation in tournaments and foreign participations, which led to the continued improvement of numbers, from one tournament to another.

Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad bin Saif Al Sharqi, President of the Body Building and Fitness Federation, crowned the first winners participating in the various races in the third edition of the Fujairah International Triathlon Championship, which aims to promote and spread the sport of "triathlon" in the Arab sports community.
