The customs police department dealt with 332 cases during the month of October

Ramallah - "Jerusalem" dot com - The customs police said that it dealt with 332 cases during the month of October, in cooperation with the civil partner agencies and the competent security agencies, within the framework of combating smuggling in all its forms and protecting the national economy.


The Department of Public Relations and Information in the agency stated, in a statement, on Sunday evening, that the cases were distributed between tax and customs, in addition to issues related to the economic, health, agricultural and public safety fields.


The statement indicated that 219 cases were dealt with in cooperation with the Ministry of Finance to improve state revenues and provide the treasury with funds.


He indicated that 57 cases were dealt with in cooperation with the Ministry of National Economy to prevent the spread of illegal and settlement goods, while 33 cases were dealt with in cooperation with the Ministry of Health to provide food and health security, and 17 cases in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture in support of the agricultural sector and encouragement of local products.


The statement pointed out that 5 communications cases in violation of the law were dealt with in cooperation with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, and one case in cooperation with the Environmental Quality Authority.


He stressed the important role of citizens in reporting spoiled and expired goods via the toll-free number 132 or through the agency's official Facebook page.
