UEFA threatens to exclude Paris and Marseille from European competitions

Paris Saint- Germain and Marseille are now threatened with sanctions by the European Football Association (UEFA) because of the material losses they suffer and their lack of commitment to fair financial play policies, according to a French press report.

Yesterday, Friday, the newspaper "L'Equipe" reported that the financial authority of the European Union had approved a settlement agreement with the two clubs, which includes economic sanctions that may be accompanied by sports sanctions, in the event that the situation does not change during the coming seasons.

Paris Saint-Germain's losses have exceeded the permitted 30 million euros, in the last 3 seasons.

It has become necessary for Paris and Marseille to adjust their accounts, in order to avoid exposure to harsh penalties, which may amount to exclusion from participating in European competitions.

The UEFA Financial Authority was not satisfied with the files sent by the two clubs, to be fined financially.

It is noteworthy that Paris Saint-Germain and Marseille are participating in the European Champions League this season, and they are awaiting the group stage draw, which is scheduled for August 25.
