Zamalek is hard on Pyramids and away from the top of the Egyptian league

Zamalek continued its series of victories in the Egyptian League , with a valuable victory at the expense of its guest, Pyramids, with a score (3-0) this evening, Monday, at Cairo Stadium in the twenty-eighth round of the competition.


Zamalek advanced early after receiving a penalty after only 27 seconds had passed, including Ahmed Sayed “Zizou” scoring the first goal in the second minute, then Tunisian Saif Al-Din Al-Jaziri strengthened the white team’s lead in the 24th minute, and Mahmoud Abdel Razek “Shikabala” scored the third goal in a wonderful way. In the 90th minute + 4.

Zamalek achieved its seventh consecutive victory in the league, led by Portuguese coach Josevaldo Ferreira, to move away from the lead after raising its score to 66 points at the summit.

Pyramids, led by its Greek coach Takis Junias, froze at 59 points in second place, after suffering its first defeat in the league since losing to Al Ittihad of Alexandria on May 22, 0-1 in the twentieth round.

Awad removed a dangerous opportunity for Pyramids from a heel pass from Ibrahim Adel to Al-Saeed, who passed a quick cross, but the Zamalek goalkeeper saved it, while a close opportunity arose for Zamalek with the launch of Sayed Abdullah, who was late in passing the ball to the solitary Imam Ashour, but Osama Jalal pushed it away.

Awwad complained about the injury, but he stuck to completing the match, and Ahmed Aboul Fotouh missed a real opportunity after a quick start, then a heel shot that was caught by Al-Shennawy.

Zamalek paid the duo, Mahmoud Abdel Razek, “Shikabala” and Youssef Osama Nabih, at the expense of Saif Al-Din Al-Jaziri and Zizou.

Eric Traore missed a header, and Youssef Osama Nabih missed a quick effort that was pushed away by the Pyramids defense, before Shikabala scored a wonderful goal in the 90 + 4 minute with a powerful shot that hit the goalkeeper Al-Shennawy.

Youssef Nabih missed a dangerous opportunity after being alone in Al-Shennawi’s goal, where he shot next to the post, and Hazem Imam participated at the expense of Sayed Abdullah in the last moments, and Awad grabbed a dangerous opportunity for Pyramids, and Zamalek came out winning the match.
